Hello everyone. I woke up on Saturday with the worst cramping. ***TMI*** Went to the bathroom and there was brownish blood. I woke my husband up and went to the ER. They told me they couldn't see a gestational sac and my hcg level was 4200. It was 5000 that previous Monday. So I went home prepared to miscarry. I was cramping and had some lower abdominal pain/pressure for the rest of the day and Sunday but no bleeding. I went to my doctor this morning and he says he sees a gestational sac. I had my blood drawn for my HCG test and I guess I'll know definitively what's going on later this afternoon. That coupled with the fact that all symptoms of pregnancy I had are gone makes me feel like I'm out. I've had 2 previous miscarriages but nothing like this. The previous ones took the same path. HCG levels were slow to rise, progesterone was low and/or lowering. This felt different so I was very hopeful.
Heard from the doctor's office. I've had 4 HCG tests all within days and they have gone up, then down, then up and now down again. My progesterone is 27. I stopped taking it after the ER doctor told me I was going to lose the baby on Saturday. I started taking it again on Monday. Something told me to get back on it.
I'm at a loss. I go to my next ultrasound on Monday. I guess I'll know what's going on then. Maybe. Anyone experience anything like this?
I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've never heard of hcg going up and down like that. I hope your u/s on Monday clears up the uncertainty. Good luck!

Thanks! I'm taking the week off so I can rest. My pregnancy symtoms are back. They kind of weaned off for a new days but now they are back. Mostly breast tenderness, vivid dreams and queasy stomach feeling I get right before I get out of bed.
