Anatomy scan vs Mother's Intuition ..... bored so lets hear you out :)

SO ..... i got both right.... I felt it was a girl the way my mother felt with me when she was pregnant i was experiencing too and just knew i was having a girl i always referred to her as my princess and when i got the anatomy scan done even though i had to wait a few hours to wait for DH to find out, it came to show i was all along correct an we are expecting my little princess and can't wait to have her in my arms.... BEST FEELING EVER!!!

Re: Anatomy scan vs Mother's Intuition ..... bored so lets hear you out :)

  • I was right with my first (boy) and wrong with this one (thought it was a girl, it's another boy). Though in retrospect I should have known because the two pregnancies have been super similar.

  • I was 100% shocked when they said girl... I thought for sure from the beginning that she was a boy. So next time I'm not going to be so trusting with my "intuition".
  • I was wrong both times! I thought for certain we were having boys but I am having my second girl.  My husband is one of three boys so I thought it would be genetic and we would have boys.  The punch line is his brother all had girls too! My MIL is in heaven.
  • FTM and I could have sworn this baby was a girl but nope, we're having a boy. My mom and DH were right.
  • I was right. I told my husband from the start he was a he. We actually found out via genetic test, so they called us with the result at 13 weeks. I didn't even tell my husband "it's a boy" - lol, I said "I win!" and he knew he was getting a son.

I also was convinced this baby would have my nose - it looks like from the US he does. I'm also convinced he'll have my husband's "butt chin" - I'll let you know in a couple months ;)

  • I was right with both DD and this one.  To be fair, DH thought they were both girls too, so we were both right. :)

  • I thought for sure this one was a girl, but he's a boy. With my first two I didn't think one way or the other, I was clueless
  • I kind of thought DD was a girl. This baby I was positive was a boy and it is. I was right for both.
  • I was 100% sure my first was going to be a boy, to the point I was upset when we found out we were having a girl.  This one I didn't have a feeling for a long time but have had a couple dreams, in the last week, that we're having a boy.  This time around I don't care.  I love being a momma to a little girl but boys are fun too.  We'll find out in a week so we will see if my dreams have been right.
  • I thought it was going to be a girl almost from the moment of conception. I kept having dreams of baby girls and so did my mom. Plus all the old wives tales were leaning toward girl and I just had a feeling. But then I started thinking of how DH's family produces only boys so I swore my intuition and everything else was wrong and it was going to be a boy. DH swore it would be a boy too. Then the anatomy scan revealed girl! So it looks like I should have stuck with my original guess. DH and I didn't care which sex we got as long as the baby was healthy. So we're really excited.
  • With DD I just knew it was a girl and I was right. This time around I went back and forth a bit but was pretty sure it was a boy. When we thought it was a girl I was shocked but now that we know it's a boy it makes sense.
  • With DS I wasn't sure.
With DD I knew it was a girl.
This time I knew it was a boy since my pregnancy was so similar to DS #1's pregnancy =)

  • I thought it was a girl since I found out I was pregnant and I was correct!
  • I was right for my first three kiddos. I have the feeling this one will be a boy but we don't know yet. Should find out later today if baby cooperates. DH is positive it's a girl. We'll see!
  • We don't know the sexes, however early on in the first trimester, prior to our ultrasound I woke up a couple times in the middle of the night and told my boyfriend and my mom that I just feel like it's twins... Sure enough it is. And we don't have a history of twins in the family... Later on I had a dream it was two girls, so that's what I think these two are. We do know they are going to be the same sex.

  • I thought it was a boy from the beginning and I was right.  hubby wanted a boy and was scared I was gonna "jinx" it by insisting it was a boy.
  • Wrong both times.

    Just keep swimming.
  • Right both times. But it's a crap shoot.
  • I was right again! DH was super surprised this time that we are having a boy. He looked at me and said "looks like you were right again".
  • @Allisun85, with DS we could see his "butt chin" in the ultrasound!  It was so cool to see a little glimpse of that detial of his face before he was born.   :p
  • From the start we both wanted a girl. EVERYONE was saying boy . Today  I had my appointment.  All this week I kept saying ur a princess in there? Sure enough it's a princess
  • I always thought it was a girl from the beginning since I felt so different this time around. My doctor said if you went my the Ramzi Theory it looked like a girl, and the anatomy scan confirmed it was a girl. Whoo hoo!

  • The night I found out I was pregnant, I told DH that I think it's a girl! I just always pictured DH with a little girl even before we got married so maybe that's why I had an inkling.

It then was supported by my friend's gut feeling based on when I ovulated and when DH and I did it, ha! She was so definite it would be a girl--can these calculations really be accurate tho? Who knows.

But we were right! DH was so happy. He has this theory where he wants the oldest to be a girl. Now I'm obsessed at these girly rompers and tiny dresses. Can't stop won't stop. I keep buying things...without DH's consent. Ha!
  • We both were 99% sure it would be a girl , and we found out today we were right!
  • I was right with my two pervious babies. With this one I have no idea! It's fun to hear other people's guesses though and to do silly old wives tales tests. We find out next week!
  • Thought it was a boy but I was wrong....so happy to hear its a baby girl

  • I was right. Knew it was a boy but everyone told me I was having a girl. Should have bet and could have made some money lol
  • I thought it was a girl. I had a dream the ultrasound tech said it was a girl, then I had another dream that I delivered a baby girl. I was right; we're having a girl!!
