The Bucatini (with a tomato guanciale sauce) from Redd Wood in Yountville. Second would probably be the Duck Poutine at Granville Island in Vancouver, BC. Even with m/s, both of those sound amazing right now!

Sushi. My usual order is salmon avocado rolls, salmon sushi and tuna sashimi. Second place is *very* rare steak. As my dad would say, wipe his horns, swish his tail, and send him out. I guess I'm just kinda anti-cooked food.
Croque Monsieur from Cochon Butcher in New Orleans. I can't even with this meal. Pardon the huge pic of DH but I barely snapped this picture before I embarrassed myself devouring it.
Fresh butchered, in house made thin sliced ham with Gruyere cheese, melted between buttered bread and smothered in fried egg. I mean... I squirmed while I ate this thing. We visited again the following year and DH arranged for them to make it for us especially during our visit since it wasn't on menu that month, that's how good it was. 10/10.
@HomeyDontPlayThat, I've had that! It's amazing... pretty much everything at Cochon is! Another local (New Orleans) favorite is ANYTHING from Domenica.

I can't say I have a favorite meal (although I'd never pass up chiles rellenos or a good vegetarian eggs benedict if I saw either on a menu)... BUT my favorite food is definitely whipped cream cheese. I could eat it by the spoonful with no shame whatsoever.

Same here! I had a salmon avocado roll yesterday and am not sorry about it. I tell people I like my steak "barely dead". Basically just cooked enough to not make me sick. Haven't had a steak in forever sadly.

I'm spoiled, I live here and I've had just about everything on their menu. Herbsaint and Peche have the same chef (Donald Link) as Cochon and Cochon Butcher, and Domenica is a John Besh restaurant and he has a huge empire, so if you like those places then you should check out the others! Domenica has an awesome happy hour as well, 1/2 price drinks and pizzas!
Being from New Orleans, I can't possible choose a favorite meal but I will say that one of my favorites is the blue crab and black truffle gnocchi from August (that is Besh's flagship restaurant.)

I stole this picture from the restaurant's website, LOL. I cannot go to this restaurant without getting their crab cakes, and we sometimes go there just so I can get their crab cakes They're served with sweet corn relish, aioli, and wedge fries. Add a craft beer, and it's the perfect meal. Nom nom nom...

Real Cantonese food. Not American style. Like the kind you can only find in Chinatown. I could eat pounds of clams in xo sauce, stuffed hot peppers in black bean sauce, roast pork chow fun and steamed pea leaves. Also Dim Sum. The brunch the morning after my wedding was at a dim sum spot. Yummy I want it right now.

Yes! I had the lamb with the whipped feta and tabouleh. Incredible. The man can go no wrong with whipped feta... also try the whole head of roasted cauliflower (with whipped feta) over at Dominica-- it's now a staple for most big family dinners that I cook at home.
I could go on and on about food, especially in NOLA. I really envy you living there!

I have always been a burger girl. I love a really great burger (specialty burgers are even better).
However, a few weeks ago I was traveling for work and had pan seared hand made gnocchi with four cheese sauce and black truffle shavings at this restaurant outside of Cincinnati. I honestly can't stop thinking about it now. I may make DH drive the 2 hours there in the next few weeks so that I can have it again. It's that good.
There is a little restaurant on Kent street in Charlottetown, PEI (I'm from the Island) that makes the most amazing chicken carbonara I have ever had. I'm going to be heading home for a few weeks this summer and I absolutely cannot wait to get there and have a plate. They make all of their pasta in-house and they use local ingredients in everything. If I could choose only one meal to eat for the rest of my life, it would be that carbonara.

For my birthday every year, DH grills me rack of lamb with mustard/rosemary crust. That's my favorite. But I had to stop and consider the sushi, rare steak (I like mine practically moo-ing), and creole food as I scrolled by.
When we were in Sicily last year we stopped at a restaurant that was recommended in our guide book. It was hidden down a side street and was so tiny that I don't know how they fit tables. The owner was amazing and we asked him to select our meals for us, we figured he knew best. It was literally the best food I've ever tasted in my life. I had some sort of sausage gnocchi and DH had something with eggplant. I would go back to Italy in a second, yum!
Something I call glutton soup. It's and adaptation on a recipe from the restaurant I worked for for awhile. it has onion, celery, Italian sausage, stewed tomatoes spinach and canallini beans. served with grilled cheese I'll eat it til I'm in pain from being over full

I love a lot of food, so this is really hard... Costco pizza, mom's meatloaf, or this delicious burger from a local place - it includes: candied bacon, whiskey cheddar, whole grain mustard, and blackberry compote. My soul sings when I get this burger.
I love all things carby (pasta and pizza especially), along with seafood (but not sushi). But one of the best things I've ever eaten was in Seattle:
(How the hell do I resize that...I feel like it's huge)
from a place called Biscuit Bitch, just up the street from the Pike Place Market. This particular version was a biscuit topped with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, cheddar & bacon. To die for...we went twice in the three days we were there!

Biscuit Bitch sounds like one of my favorite breakfast spots on this earth; Pine State Biscuits (Portland, OR). If you're ever in the area, make a point to stop in- VERY worth it! Now I want biscuits, and gravy, with meat... YUMMMM.

So this is 20 minutes from me and will be our breakfast this weekend, so thanks! That looks amazing
The region where I am from in France is Alsace and it specialises in these delicious super thin pizza-like things called Tarte Flambée. They are so good and now I want to eat them all!
All things carbs... Baked potatoes are my go-to when I have to cook for myself, I could live on bread.
Also, the talk of Chinatown us making me crave these little steam buns (they were called bao tse, I think) that I ate every single morning when I lived in China. Seriously, I would kill for some right now!
