What does your LO sleep in?

Im going back to work in 2 weeks and cannot get anything longer then a 4 hour stretch at night. My little love, 11 weeks,  sleeps in the rock n play at night and seems to be very fidgety in it. I'm not ready for her to be in her crib yet and during the day she naps like a champ in her swing. I was just wondering what everyone else's LO is sleeping in?

Re: What does your LO sleep in?

  • Violet is almost 11 weeks and sleeps in a rock and play. She has also become fidgety in it. She's also starting to sleep with her chin tucked closer to her chest and I don't like that. We are up to our eye balls in renovations and even our daughter at 11 weeks old the nursery still isn't ready and won't be for a couple weeks. My husband is going to set up the crib in our room this week

  • Right now baby is in a halo sleepsack swaddle in a bassinet in our room. LO sleeps great in the sleepsack so we got the next size up so she can stay in it. Somewhere between 3-4 months we will move her out of our room to her crib in her bedroom, as the doctor has told us they shouldn't be in a bassinet any longer than that.

  • Ours is sleeping in the napper attachment of the pack and play on our room.  We'll probably transition him out of it soon though
  • We transitioned from the rock n play to the bassinet about a month ago.  The doctor thinks there is more risk of flat heads in the rock n play.  I suppose we need to start thinking about moving her to her crib soon.  She is 3 months today!
  • LO sleeps in a long sleeve onsie with either a wearable blanket thing or fleece footie pajamas. He's been in the crib since 1 week old. He fidgets in the crib occasionally but it seems like he's just trying to get comfortable.
  • Chase is 11 weeks old and sleeps on the mattress of the pack n play in our room. We just transitioned him out of the bassinet attachment since he was getting too long for it. He's a little more restless in it but seems to be getting used to it more each night. I hope to move him to the crib in the next week or two.
  • We put out LO (she will be 11weeks on Thursday) in her crib at 6/7 weeks bc she has never liked being swaddled and her arms and legs were hitting the side of the bassinet. Since putting her in her crib she has slept longer and longer. She was doing 5-6 sometimes 7 hr stretches since being in the crib and last night she did a 9 hour. I found the crib made a world of difference
  • Ours does naps in the crib in his magic sleep suit, which does seem to help him sleep longer. He has been sleeping nights swaddled in our room in a RnP, but this morning I moved that out of there. I'm going to start him tonight in his cosleeper in our room instead (also in the magic sleep suit), with the goal of transitioning to the crib in his room at 3 months. I'm sure he's ready for that now... but I'm not!

LO wears a sleep and play with the Halo swaddle sleep sack.  We put her in the crib the first night home and she's been there ever since.
Nap time is a bit more of a struggle, but we are working on naps in the crib which usually maxs out at 45 minutes.

  • She sleeps in bed with us. We've tried it all, and the only way for us all to get decent sleep is for her to sleep in our bed. Naps are in her crib, though she only Napa about 30 minutes there.
  • LO is still in a swaddle sleep sack at 12 weeks old. I think it's time to retire it since she is able to get up on her side now, and I'm terrified that she's going to roll over in it. She just loves to be swaddled still and doesn't sleep well without it. Has anyone found a swaddle alternative besides the Merlin sleep suit? That thing is expensive! She sleeps in the co-sleeper attached to our bed, and will for the foreseeable future. It is pretty sizable, and she still has plenty of room in it. This Mama isn't ready to put her in her crib at night yet! I have been putting her in her crib to take naps, and she does well in it (as long as she is swaddled!).
  • LO is 10 weeks today and sleeps in the Halo bassinest wrapped in a halo sleep sack. She has been there since she was about 3 weeks old. Before that the rock and play. I did put her in the rock and play a couple nights last week after her 2 month shots and she had a cold. She did OK in it, but I don't want her to get too used to it bc I want to transition her to the crib soon. Naps are a whole different story, she usually naps on me or sometimes I can get her to sleep by laying her on her belly on the couch. Makes me nervous esp bc she is such a wiggler but there is no other way she will sleep. She won't fall asleep by herself yet -annoying, and anytime I try to put her down in her swing or bouncer after she is asleep she wakes up in 15 minutes and is crabby. Any suggestions?

12 weeks old nighttime is swaddled in sleep sack in the bassinet in our room naps are wherever I can get them usually being held or in his bouncer with me bouncing it. Can get about a 20 minute crib nap if I put in about an hour of work
  • 11.5 weeks - woombie in the bassinet level of the pack n play at night in our room and naps are usually in my arms (still in woombie) but I've been trying for weeks to have one nap a day in his crib with verrrry little success, so we blacked out the windows in our room yesterday and today he's napped twice in his pack n play, even though they were crappy 20 minute naps!
  • Swaddle (halo) and long sleeve onesie. in the crib since day 1 of being at home. We didn't want to worry about making any transitions so we decided to use the crib right away. So far it's great. Getting about 5-6 hours a night then another 2-3 more after an early am feeding.
  • LO is 11 weeks today. Had been sleeping in bassinet in halo sleep sack swaddle. As of last night we switched him to the PNP with one arm out of the swaddle and he slept through the night! Will work to try sleeping in the crib either this week or next...depending on how much anxiety I get over it. Haha
  • LO is 9 weeks old and she sleeps in a lulyboo portable bassinet inside her pack and play in our room. Her crib and the pack and play were to open for her and when she stretches out into the open space she startles herself awake so the lulyboo allows her to feel more closed in. We also use it as a cosleeper in our bed on nights when she's particularly upset/fussy or for naps. She sleeps a solid 6 hour stretch at the beginning of the night and then wakes to eat and does another 3 or 4 hour stretch before she's up for the day.

LO is 12 weeks and sleeps in a cotton sleeper as he is a little hot box and would over heat in fleece. I just put him down in the crib in the nursery for the first time an hour ago and he is still asleep. Here is fingers crossed that he stays that way. During the day he sleeps in his bouncer or his swing in the living room with noise around him. I want him to be able to sleep through anything :)

Edited because autocorrect is a twat waffle.

She alternates between her Moses basket and Mamaroo in our room. She also ends up in our bed a lot simply because I miss her.
  • Griffin is 16w on Wednesday.  He sleeps in his pack and play, in our room still, due to renovations on our upstairs taking us some additional time.  We are hoping to get him in his crib within the next 3-4 weeks.  My goal was to have him in it by 4 months, but that's coming up next week, so hopefully by 5 months.  He naps in it on the weekends and does pretty well in his crib when we're up in his nursery.

We transitioned him out of the RnP about 3-4 weeks ago.  I thought it was going to be a nightmare, but it worked out pretty good.  He was getting to big for it and would always wiggle his way down towards the bottom of it.  We still swaddle him in a Swaddle Me sack, which I so badly want to transition out of too.  He can not get that darn reflex under control just yet.  The arms flail around like he's a fish out of water still in anything but the swaddle.

  • Our LO is 3 months today and sleeps in the pack n play with a mattress pad for cushion.  She was previously in a bassinet . She did pretty good with the transition , she moved around a bit more initially but is better now.  We were planning to move her out of our room around 3 months but I'm not ready yet !!
  • We just moved DD from the Halo Bassinest in our room to the crib in her room, with the Merlin Sleepsuit. She's sleeping so much better and longer! I think it's a combination of things... The Sleepsuit for sure, and she's not woken up by me or DH (or our 2 dogs) tossing and turning. The first 2 nights were anxiety filled for me, but I see how great she's doing and we're all sleeping better. Win-win. She'll be 3 months tomorrow.

13 weeks - halo swaddle sleep sack arms out in halo bassinest - sleeps from 9pm-7am with a one hour feed.  Naps in the crib for 30 minutes of time falling asleep on her own with a pacifier (only gets a pacifier for naps).  Keeping my fingers crossed this keeps up, starting to feel human again.
  • 10 weeks  in a sleep sack in the pack n play in our room. Initially we thought he would only be in our room a short time but DH and I just aren't ready to move him yet.
  • 10.5 weeks, wears a SwaddleMe swaddle over a onesie. In the napper portion of pack-n-play. My plan is to transition to mattress portion of pnp (still next to bed) while swaddled until she can roll over. Then Merlin sleep suit or halo sleep sack depending on weather.
  • Halo swaddle sack over PJs in her crib. She is STTN.

  • She sleeps in a sleeper, in a swaddle me, in her crib in her own room, since the day we came home from the hospital.
  • We put DS in a cotton onesie (if it is a warm day) or long sleeved sleeper (if it is cold like tonight) and then the halo swaddle sack on top of that. We still swaddle arms in although he works at least one arm out throughout the night. I am too afraid to change it. We just moved him from the cradle to the pack and play in our room. I would love for him to move to the crib in the nursery but he still wakes up to 5 times a night and it's just easier to deal with that if I can nurse him in bed.
  • Thanks for the feedback, ladies! I just ordered the Merlin sleep suit from Amazon. Once I get that I'm going to put her in the nap portion of the pnp and see how that combo works.
  • LO has slept in her crib since about 4 weeks, but in a Boppy Infant seat, due to reflux issues. We have to transition her out, though, because she starts daycare on Monday, and their policy is flat with nothing in the crib. (I know that's what we're all supposed to do, but our doctor told us it was OK for her to sleep elevated.) We also usually put a blanket over her legs (because she's a kicker,) and we're trying to transition her to a sleep sack for the same reason. Last night was our first night, and while she did sleep, it wasn't nearly as peaceful. At around 3, I broke down and got the Boppy out again. I'll aim for longer tonight, but for both of our sakes, I felt like it was worth it. She slept soooo soundly when I put her back in the Boppy. Baby steps, right?
  • We are cosleeping. She uses a zipper swaddle sack with these little chicken wings so she can self soothe. I think her startle reflex is calming down and she'll be out of a Swaddle all together in the next few weeks maybe. I thought this swaddle was the weirdest looking thing ever but it's been a blessing.
