Babies R' Us Events?

Who else has gone to one of these? DH and I went today and it was actually.. awesome! We went to one they were calling a "Baby Fair" and got a ton of great information from the local "partners". A local gym  does a six week post partum boot camp (starting six weeks post partum, and ending when you return to work at 12 weeks ) for relatively cheap, we found a doula network for our doula to reach out to since we are birthing outside of the range of her usual back up (and they were totally open to acting as backup) AND got a decent freebie bag, which included free birth announcements from a local photographer (50.) And the britax rep was on site, so we got to ask a bunch of car seat questions.
We also  won one of the door prizes which was a britax sun shade / kick mat/ seat protector set which was on our registry! Sweet!
We still haven't done a BRU registry, so we're going to go back in in two weeks when they are doing a registry event.
Has anyone else been to one of these yet? What was in your bag?
Picture below of all our goodies! (sorry it's huge, it won't let me resize it)

registry event was awesome for me it was only me and one other couple so we split all the door prizes and everyone gets another swag bag which is great! I'll have to check into the baby fair one! They also offer free infant cpr and breastfeeding classes at mine

  • @lindseyleigh1989 the infant cpr class at ours was $30pp - My parents are going to do it, but we're doing it at our hospital, they have a class package which includes "Rescue me" - it's not just cpr, but baby proofing basics, what to do about everything from choking to burns, to allergic reactions.
