Antiphospholipid Syndrome

Anybody in here been diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome?  My doctor told me she's pretty confident it's what caused my two (now three) miscarriages.  I am on baby aspirin but obviously it is not enough since I am now going through another loss.  I am seeing a hematology specialist Monday and hoping for some further answers.  Anyone here have any experience with it?  I keep thinking maybe if I had gotten in to the specialist sooner this wouldn't be happening now.. Trying not to blame myself but it's hard.

I'm a medical professional, but not in OB. From my limited experience with this, I believe your physician may recommend an injectable blood thinning medication like heparin or lovenox in addition to aspirin for future pregnancies. Don't blame yourself. None of us are born with a magic ability to sense if we have a clotting disorder or not. Oftentimes it's discovered in this very way. Be kind to yourself. FX that this is the answer you needed and that you have a plan for a successful future pregnancy!

Not me, but a dear friend had three losses before discovering she has APS and is now due in August with a daughter. Daily lovenox shots have made all the difference for her. It's frustrating, for sure, but be easy on yourself. There's no way you could have known.

Well I found out about it after the second loss and have been on baby aspirin but maybe the specialist will prescribe something more.  Thanks for yalls info!
