I'm so done with pregnancy!

So Monday I was 39 weeks and due to BP concerns,  they decided to induce me. I got one shot of gel Monday night and sent home. Tuesday morning another shot of gel (dilated 1cm). Tuesday afternoon no gel because I was cramping too much so they kept me and monitored me overnight and stuck a catheter in my cervix to try and dilate me, got me to almost 2 cm. Wednesday, my cervix actually shortened again (didn't even know they could do that!) So back to the gel twice more. Thursday was 3 doses of gel and I'm back in the hospital because of intense cramping from the gel and I'm beyond frustrated! I'm really at the end of my very fragile sanity, any other moms having this much trouble having a baby??

I'm sorry. I have heard inductions (even when done because of legit health concerns like yours) can be miserable. I sure hope your body kicks into gear and allows the medication to do what it needs to for you to have this baby safely and soon!

With Dd I refused to dilate. I didn't get the gel but we stripped membranes and at 41 +2 we started the induction process.  I didn't have any contractions or false labor leading up to DD arriving so that was very frustrating for me.  Hang inthere.

Also have high BP and they were thinking of inducing me the other night and gave me the oral medication to try and open my cervix.  It didn't really work...maybe it would be an option for you?  Can you ask your doctor if you can try anything else?  Nurses told me they tend to have better luck with the oral medication.

I also had high BP and it took me 5 days for my body to take to everything they were doing.

I did end up getting the pills too and after 2 doses my water broke. They started me on the drip and after 12 hours I was only 3 cm so it ended up being a c section.
