Marcel Ocean (38 weeks, 0days)
8lbs 14oz; 20.4 in
Water broke with poop chunks at 3:30am (5 centimeters) and he was born at 10:54am
I went through two hours of labor starting at 3-4 minutes apart then 1 minute apart. Got the epidural at maybe 8am (9 centimeters) and pushed for 3 hours. His head was down and sideways and stuck in the pelvic bone. Most of my pushing was spent on that. Pushing the rest of him was "easy" but sooo unbearable because they stopped my epidural right before I started pushing so by he time I got to his shoulders it was horrific. My breathing couldn't catch up with my body instinctively pushing which made it really hard all around. When he finally came out my body was shaking and in shock and I was feeling all the burns from tearing (2nd degree).
He latched on right away and fed himself to sleep. He slept for almost the whole day and I fed again with no issue and he fed himself to sleep again.
I haven't adjusted to the thought of being responsible for a little person
