Try ice and you can roll a tennis ball in your foot. Sit with legs straight out(on bed or couch) and use a towel on upper part of foot to pull back and stretch. Watch the shoes you are wearing too. Hopefully that will work. If not see a PT. Post pregnancy they can do ultrasound (deep heat that can be used with an anti-inflammatory gel)if it indeed is plantar fasciitus. I work in healthcare and have treated it and had it myself. If you google you will see that it can pop and if it doesn't get better they sometimes do a release of the tissue. Don't let that scare you. It probably won't happen and if it spontaneously pops the pain is usually gone!
thanks for your help ladies!! i googled planters fasciitis and that is exactly what it sounds like.... between carpal tunnel and now this heel pain im a mess!!!!!
Yup, my heels/feet are in pain too. They are also cracking/splitting open, which causes more pain and is also super unattractive. but whatever, i also attribute it to the extra weight. DH has planters fascilitis and he rolls/stretches his feet on a tennis ball everyday, it does seem to help.
As the other person stated, Plantir F. I developed this last year during one of my 5k runs. It took a year of therapy to recover. You need to see a foot doctor and don't worry. The therapy involved just tightly bandaging my foot and using special insoles. Also, try to stay OFF your feet. If you let it progress, your foot's bone structure will be affected (mine were, hence the one year therapy)
I had this exact same pain. I went to the chiropractor trained in websters technique and he was able to fix the pain. It was a compressed sciatic nerve....so it could be that it also.
Re: heel pain...
My feet hurt all the time - I attribute it to the extra 50 pounds I am carrying around.
