    Week: 9

What's new with baby (size, development): olive. Embryo is now a fetus!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: I scheduled my sequential screen for April 27, and I asked my insurance company about what they cover for prenatal care.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I still feel like I can't eat a lot of things, and my husband keeps trying to pack me lunch for work and it's just repulsive. I asked him to stop, but now he's acting like I'm a bitch and he's trying to do something nice. I understand that he is, but when it's not working, you have to stop wasting your time, right?

When is your next appointment: April 20. Luckily my practice has late hours on Wednesdays so I'll never have to miss work for an appointment again (except for possibly special tests)

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We worked at a restaurant together so it was really just hanging out at a bar after work (with the rest of the staff). Our first hangout outside of that was dinner that he made me at his house. He cooked me fish that he caught!

What's new with baby (size, development): Size of a ladybug

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Not much for now

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I need to start getting more sleep. Also my nausea has started to be more consistent, which is good because I need the reassurance.

When is your next appointment: Had an ultrasound yesterday, was measuring a couple days behind what I though (hence moving over from Mondays). It was still early and they were unsure of the heartbeat so I go in again in two weeks.

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We have been together since middle school so I do not remember our first date.

What's new with baby (size, development): Blueberry

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Not much for now just relaxing

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: So I started yesterday spotting brownish not a lot. I called the doctor and she said it's normal in the beginning stage but i am still FREAKING OUT.  This is my second pregnancy and I did not spot with my first one.  Has anyone else experienced this?

When is your next appointment: First Appt isnt till April 7th I am going to prob be insane by then

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. I went over to his house and we had pizza, beer and watched a movie.  It was nice and relaxing. =)

What's new with baby (size, development): size of a dot snail or a ladybug, or an appleseed or a sweet pea

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Finally started working on my rainbow quilt. It's going to be made up of 2,880 little squares, so I've been doing lots of hunting for fabric and endless cutting. Not really something to get ready for baby since she/he doesn't neeeeed a quilt, but it's keeping me busy.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Still not many symptoms. I am going to list them so I can see them as a list and feel better: backne (and some face acne too), random crying, no appetite, ever so slightly sore and bigger than usual nipples, no period, positive HPTs, temp still very high (I'm not temping regularly, but I woke up super early at my usual temp time by accident so I figured I'd check). I'm hoping that maybe my O date was off and I'm really just 5 weeks now and that's why I have such mild symptoms

When is your next appointment: Today! First appointment! Probably just labs and Q&A. I'm hoping they'll draw betas but I'd have to get the second set at work on Friday since I work 7-7.

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We met in nursing school. Our first date (or time we hung out as slightly more than just friends) started out with a walk to benefit Alzheimer's research (a requirement for our psych class). Then we had Thai food for lunch and studied on campus for a couple hours. Then we went and watched a cloud of swifts fly in and out of a giant chimney (this is a thing they do here every fall as they migrate). Then we went to dinner with my BFF and her mom and boyfriend (my cousin). Then we went and played pool with all of them. Then I took him home and we went and made out in his room. It was a good "date" :)

What's new with baby (size, development): blueberry!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: nothing really. I had to tell a bunch of colleagues this week because I was nominated for something that I can't do with an impending leave.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I'm so nauseous. All the time. And sleepy. I don't know how I'll keep myself from gaining a ton of weight like my first time since the only thing that helps is eating carbs.

When is your next appointment: My first appt isn't until April 11th. Still ages away

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We met on eHarmony. We like to say we are compatible on 27 different levels. :) our first date was lunch at a sushi place. When he walked in I thought " wow, he's such a pretty boy, this will never work. Might as well just enjoy the sushi!" Boy was I wrong!

  • Hey ladies, just wanted to let you know that I've moved to Saturday.  My OPK and temping weren't consistent with each other so I had estimated with the temping date. Turns out the OPK was correct so I'm 4-5 days ahead of where I thought I was according to our ultrasound.  Loved getting to know you for a few weeks and will keep checking in here!

What's new with baby (size, development):
As big as a raspberry. The tail is gone. Yay!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:  Going to start remodeling the nursery soon. Also trying to figure out if I will get an epidural or not.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Morning sickness is still kicking my ass.

When is your next appointment: ugh. Stress stress and more stress. The OB I chose and loved is now no longer doing it. So I'm going to be having to pick a new one.

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. I have no clue. We didn't go on an "actual date" until at least a year in. I have bad social anxiety and he was really understanding.

What's new with baby (size, development): Olive

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Nothing yet

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I just want to eat food and drink water w/o feeling nauseous...and poop on a regular basis

When is your next appointment: My first appt is tomorrow (blood draw and health history) and first ultrasound is Monday - finally!

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. I think our first 'official' date was going to see a movie...it was 13 years ago and I was a senior in high school and he was a sophomore in college. We went to the same high school and after he graduated we ended up having the same group of friends and started dating.

  • @CCrane22 - I hear ya on the wanting to eat and poop regularly!

    Week: 9

What's new with baby (size, development): Olive

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: I picked up Expecting Better by Emily Oster, so I plan to start reading that.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Throwing up at least once a day, constipation, permanent hungover feeling, sore boobs and getting up all night to pee.

When is your next appointment: U/S Friday and first appointment with my OB on 4/5

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We were 18 and in our first year of university. He was trying to impress me and took me to a nice French restaurant called Nemo's. It cost way more than he should of spent!
  • Week: 5

What's new with baby (size, development):  Sesame seed, SO much going on this week.  By the end a heart should be beating!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:  At this point the only things are drinking way more water, gave up alcohol (duh), and trying to make reasonably healthy food choices.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:   I am feeling pretty good so far.  I know it's still really really early.  My only issues at this point are sore, but not terrible, nips and boobs.  As of last night my mouth tastes terrible.  Like chemicals and/or I am sucking on a soap flavored candy.    Anyone else have/had this and have any tips?  Dr. Google says eat sour stuff & brush often.....

When is your next appointment:  Tomorrow at 9:30.  Another beta & first US.  I am only expecting a sac.  Will be pleasantly surprised if we see a yolk sac.

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date.  We met at work and were friends for many years before actually dating.   We were both in other relationships & supported each other through hard times when they ended.  I honestly don't know that I can pinpoint our first real "date".  Our relationship just kind of evolved.  We hung out a lot before anything romantic happened.  Totes boring, but he is my best friend.

What's new with baby (size, development): Baby is the size of a raspberry

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: We told more family over the weekend. Everyone is thrilled!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I just feel yucky. I'm not terribly nauseated and I haven't thrown up but I have a constant not quite good feeling.  The food aversions are crazy. I'm still really burpy and thirsty and I wake up 2-3 times to pee. I hate that part the most.

When is your next appointment: Tomorrow, we are so excited to see a heartbeat.

GTKY: (stolen from Monday's!) Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We were friends long before we started dating. One Wednesday he asked if he could stop by my apartment which he had never done before. He showed up with ice cream and told me he wanted to be with me and kissed me for the first time. We celebrate all of life's milestones with ice cream now, I love that tradition of ours.
  • Week: 8 according to dating scan

Baby: floating around upside down :) doc says bun is about half the size as thumbnail

Rave/Symotoms: feeling better this week! Dizziness is still the biggest culprit, with bloat and boobies next.

Next Appointment: May 9th. I plan on having a private scan before then and gender tested at 10weeks.

First date: Longhorn's Steakhouse at a time when I didn't eat meat! Bowling afterwards. He told me he was a rescue swimmer and I said like The Guardian?!?! :)
