I have an ultrasound tomorrow. I will be 6+1. I am so nervous.
TW With my first pregnancy I had an ultrasound at 10 weeks and discovered a MMC/blighted ovum. The image of that empty sac is burned in my mind. I think I might be too scared to even look at the monitor this time.
I also have my first appointment tomorrow. Can't wait to see how our little bean is doing!
@m6agua - I'm sorry about your previous loss. I hope and pray that this will be your take home baby. I can't blame you for being scared to look at the monitor. Looking forward to your update tomorrow!
I'm sitting in the office right now waiting for the doctor to come in. 6+2 today and this is just a "confirmation of pregnancy" appointment so I'm not expecting a whole lot of info but it's so exciting to finally be here!

I got blood drawn about a week and half ago and they couldn't get me in for a first appt till April 7. I feel like that is FOREVER away! LOL UGH I will be 7 weeks tomorrow
I have more labs and first US on Thursday morning. I'll only be 5+1 so I am only expecting to see a gestational sack, but at least I will have more data to confirm things are progressing as expected. I'll have weekly checks with labs and US at the RE until he transfers me to the OB. I suspect for at least the next month.
I just got a call this morning that they scheduled my first OB appt (I saw the nurse practitioner last week) for Wednesday morning. It will involve an ultrasound.
@m6agua - I also had a blighted ovum. I'm so nervous to see another empty sac. These 2 days are going to drag. But they wanted me to wait til 8-10 weeks, so I'm glad they at least decided to let me come early.
First appointment and scan Wednesday and I'll be 8weeks that day. Don't know if it's just pics or listen for heartbeat, too, but we definitely get a photo so that's pretty exciting. It's been the longest 4weeks of my life waiting for that appointment! Squeeeeeee! Can't wait.

Ugh. I can't imagine how tough that was for you. Thoughts and prayers for a successful appointment tomorrow!

@m6aguaFx for a wonderful happy appointment tomorrow!!
I have an ultrasound Thursday and I really wish I could fall asleep and wake up right before it's about to start. I'm using all my willpower not to bust out my home Doppler and start trying to find a heartbeat. I know it's too early so it'll just bum me out when I don't find one... but if I found one it would be so wonderful and reassuring! GAH!!
Thanks everyone for the good vibes. My ultrasound went well. Measuring a few days behind but my O date could be a day off, also I do think I implanted late. I thought I was 6w1d but they said I am 5w5d/6d. She thought there was a heartbeat but it was hard to tell. I go back in 2 weeks to check again. I was so thankful the sac wasn't empty.
I hope everyone else's appointments go well this week.
I had my 3rd ultrasound today but it was with a different RE as mine was out of town. I think he just wanted to cover all his bases so he decided to check my ovaries too. He couldn't find the left one easily and the ultrasound ended up being kind of painful. Of course I then spent the rest of the day worrying that all the prodding and pain has caused something bad to happen to the baby. I have anxiety to begin with and this is definitely making it worse! Otherwise the appointment went well. We heard the heartbeat - 160 bpm at 7w2d!
I'm so disappointed. I had my first appointment yesterday (with a new OB) and I was so excited to see baby and hear his/her heartbeat. I had an ultrasound at my first appointment with DS (at 8 weeks), so that's just what I expected to happen this time, but nope. I just filled out a bunch of paper work, answered a lot of questions, peed in a cup, and got a pap. They scheduled me for an ultrasound for next week, which I know is not that long to wait, but I was just so disappointed. I'm so anxious to see this LO and make sure everything is healthy, especially after experiencing a loss last time.
We miscarried last month so we had an early ultrasound at 6 weeks. Everything looked great-saw sac and baby and saw the heartbeat. Next appointment Wednesday for our 8 week! Can't wait to see how it goes, ask a zillion questions, and *maybe* hear the heartbeat?!

I know it's rough to have to wait and I'm sure you are anxious for the ultrasound. On the positive side, at least the picture you will get will be that much more detailed.
We had our first appt yesterday. I'm still a little under 6 weeks so I wasn't expecting anything but a pap but he pulled out the machine. He tried to see something but couldn't. He was not at all concerned and said it was just too early but I keep seeing all of these posts about people seeing sacs or seeing a heartbeat or something at 5 weeks so the fact that he didn't see anything has me all worried.
I had my Dating Scan today and it went really well. Measuring 7w,4d which is exact based on tracking my O date. HB of about 140. Feeling very Thankful and Blessed. Didn't meet with a Doc today since it was just a Dating Scan but my next visit with a Doc is on the 21st of April. Will do blood work for the Cell Free testing and will have my 1st official check-up with an OB.
I had my first appointment today! It was mostly just talking. My midwife already knew my history and everything from when I saw her in February so we mostly just discussed my concerns with my heart rate and other random things. I met he student midwife who will be with me through this pregnancy and I liked her. She must be really new because she wanted to just watch instead of drawing blood herself. I like students. It's fun to help teach them and watch them grow. I had my vitamin D rechecked because it was extremely low last time and I've been taking supplements since my MC. I also got progesterone and my first beta drawn and I'll have a follow up beta drawn on Friday on my break at work (the perks of working in a hospital!). I'll get my first ultrasound next week. This is actually starting to feel real!

@mrsmoose5 - I know how you feel, that's exactly how my appointment went *grumbles* But at least you've had 1 US, better than nothing I guess. Hope your next appointment will be more informative
My first OB appointment was on Monday, 3/28 and it was extremely anticlimactic. It doesn't help that my nurse had told me I'd be able to hear the heartbeat during the office visit since that never ended up happening. The visit was all about medical history, answering questions and doing some labs-- and not even the labs I am interested in! They didn't check my HCG OR progesterone levels, both of which I mentioned I was concerned about.
My doctor (this is my PCP by the way, thinking of maybe going the OB route instead even though he is well versed in OB care and has delivered babies in Family Medicine) was going to have me wait an extra 2 weeks to order my ultrasound but at the end of the visit he noticed my demeanor so he bumped it up, I have my ultrasound Monday, 4/4 and it CANNOT come soon enough.
My quick update is my bloodwork came back and at 6+1 my hcg was 13,230 and my progesterone was 25.3! This was a huge hurdle for me as I've had progesterone issues in the past but all seems to be normal so far. Normal never felt so exciting!

I had blood drawn last Friday and results looked good. My first OB appointment is Monday, 4/4. I'll be 8.5 weeks. I'm counting down the days until I get to hear that tiny little HB! I'll be 12 weeks when I have my first ultrasound at the end of April. Boo.
I have my appointment today. I had an u/s last week, so today's just my standard appointment. I'm 8+5, so I dont' expect to hear a hb via doppler. Hoping the ultrasound machine isn't being used and we can pop in for a peek, but I'm trying to not get my hopes up.
I have a grand total of 1 question, which is about a million times less questions than I had last time! I think it's going to be a totally different experience this time around.
Had my first appointment yesterday (8W). Everything went well and i am super happy it is over. My OB did an ultrasound (posted pic in ultrasound thread) and we got to hear the heartbeat.
Right before she was about to examine me, she got a call from L&D and she had to rush over to the maternity area of the hospital. She told me that she would let me know if we needed to reschedule and I was a bit bummed out but I know I would want her rushing to me if I were the woman in labour. She was able to get back to me about 25 minutes later. Talk about a stressful job!
I only had two questions for her. The first one was what she thought of me taking over the counter prenatals since my health care plan sucks and the pharmacy ones I am getting are expensive (she said pharmacy is better and luckily there is a $30/month option versus the $90/month option my insurance company covers).
The other question had to do with the fact that I was charting and knew my ovulation/conception date (CD21). I wanted to know if we could not use my LMP date since I was "late" last time and ended up having to get my water broken. Surprisingly, she changed my due date in my chart to reflect that. I was so grateful!
I had a dating u/s today because I'm still kind of sort of BFing. We found out it's twins! Well I did, then called DH who is still in a little bit of disbelief. I'm just sitting at home freaking out a little!
My appointment is tomorrow, but there's not supposed to be an ultrasound, however I just started spotting a reddish pink (been brown very intermittently for a few days) and I have had mild cramps pretty much since O that aren't getting any less, so I'm really nervous
Thanks @MrsDho11@peachykeen17 and @m6agua My appointment was today, the doctor said it's likely not ectopic because there's tissue in the uterus (apparently they do some low tech ultrasounds in office). He was a little concerned with my HCG numbers based on my LMP, but less so when I told him that I had been temping and my O date was CD 30 (Thank you TTGP for that insight!). He referred me to a radiologist for an ultrasound and they did do a "Stat" ultrasound so saw me the same day which was a relief. However since the hospital has a tech do the ultrasound and then the radiologist reads the images later and sends them to my OB, I don't get results until Monday. So, Monday I get to call for my blood test results and my ultrasound results, but my hope is if the tech saw something that needed to be dealt with right away she'd have had someone talk to me.
