Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Formula intolerance

My baby has been doing great on Gerber soothe for 3 weeks now.  All the sudden she is having colic like symptoms screaming her head off drawing her legs up and not wanting to eat as much.  Is it possible this formula is upsetting her now? She has a bowl movement once a day so not constipated.  Seems like she's having bad gad and tummy aches. She is 14 weeks old

Re: Formula intolerance

  • If you have concerns you should talk to your pediatrician.  My LO is 13 weeks and poops a 3-4 times a day. Also, check to see if your LO is lactose intolerant or teething. She could be real gassy too. Might have to hold her up more often for longer times to get most the gas out. All in all, talk to her doc because something is obviously bothering her. I hope she gets some relaxed comoft soon. Hugs
  • Sounds like gas pain to me. Bike legs help, gas drops, ovol.

  • Sounds like gas pains to me, too. Talk to pedi, and try bicycling, extra burps, gas drops. It may come down to needing a different formula, as well.

  • I would defiantly talk to the doctor my little boy did this for months before they sent us to a specialist to only find out he has a milk intolerance and now is on prescription formula.
