I did have it with my first pregnancy. I was diagnosed at 37.5 weeks. I think, from what I have read that there is a medication that can help with symptoms but I can't remember the name off hand. Regardless of the meds, I think the general recommendation is to be induced by 37 weeks and you would likely have a lot more monitoring.
I do do have a girlfriend that recently gave birth and was diagnosed around 25 weeks and her baby was jaundiced at birth but otherwise perfectly healthy. I'm not positive the jaundice was a result of the cholestasis.
Be be sure to ask a lot of questions, it is not very common and may require that you ask for a second opinion. Particularly if your provider has not dealt with it before this and is not comfortable or versed in the recent studies on it.
I won't say don't worry, because you will, but be informed and then trust in your provider.
Thank you @mmclark10. I am hoping it is not that but I have no idea what I am in for. I already have low PAPP-A so I will already be having growth scans every 4 weeks and non stress tests weekly starting at 28 weeks. I am with a midwife but they are sending me this week to an OB who is more high risk that has knowledge in this so I think I will be in good hands if it is that. The itching is insane though I may lose my mind.
