FFFC 3/25

Yes, I know it's still Thursday... but I have a confession!

We have family visiting for the weekend. Our great nephew is with them. He's 20 months old and I have no desire to pretend to be a kid person now that I have one of my own. I like my child. I'm still not a huge fan of interacting with other people's children!!

Re: FFFC 3/25

  • I wish I could spend the whole weekend with my family. Why do I have to go to my in laws for easter dinner? I wouldnt even be mad if DH wanted to spend Easter separately haha.

  • Great nephew? Is that your nephew's nephew?
  • I think great nephew would mean her brother or sister's kid had a kid and they are coming. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

My confession - I think I hate all people but my little man right now. Everything and everyone pisses me off this week. I have no empathy for people which is completely unlike me and I honestly don't mind it.

Also I'm completely ok with my husband trying to shoot a woodpecker. I know they are protected and I am usually 100% animal friendly but if that bird doesn't stop pecking on our house and making the dog bark I'm going to go crazy.

100%... I have NEVER been a fan of other people's kids... But I wouldn't trade mine for the world!! Needless to say I would make a HORRIBLE teacher or day care worker...
  • My confession- my brother still hasn't congratulated/acknowledged/met my son, so I begged my husband to
go away this weekend so I wouldn't have to see my brother at my parent's Easter dinner. We are taking our first, family of three, camping trip. Show this baby some nature!

This is correct. Our 25 year old niece has a son.
  • Going out of town for Easter, don't have to go all over the place, don't have to deal with MIL getting pissed at me for stealing my baby from her to feed him. So happy so over her being so dang sensitive, she keeps trying to get me to pump so she doesn't have to give him back and I tell her he doesn't take a bottle, even though he does.

Ah, thank you. Mom brain was too tired to figure out how one could have a great nephew. I learned something new today! Thanks!
  • I still stay in pjs until at least noon and when my husband has a night off work and LO wakes up, I tell him it's his turn even though she's breastfed lol.. So he gets up and changes her while I lay in bed a few minutes longer
  • My kid is going through sleep regression and if I don't get an hour or two to nap this weekend I might actually die. My confession: I have been back at work for a month and I am wickedly looking forward to my husband going back to work next week so that he can feel the pain of sleep deprivation while working full time. I know this isn't nice, but I don't care. He is snoring at night while I am up all night with baby girl. I am sooooooo tired.
  • In order to get my baby to drink the formula that helps his night reflux, I have to put him in front of cartoons. If not, he screams for boob.

There is only reason I look forward to going back to work: hubby will have to help at night. I have bee up with LO every night since he was born because DH works full time. But once we are both working, we can share that responsibility. And by up at night, I mean every hour after midnight because we are still trying to get LO's reflux to stop waking him.

This was the best part about maternity leave ending - shared nighttime responsibilities!
  • I wish girl scout cookies were sold year-round online. I gate having to wait for them and then getting hazzled by the lil girl seeling them :( ('_')!! Apparently at the moment they made 5 for 20$ sound better and cheaper than than the initial 4 for 16$ I had ordered.
  • Since my return to work,  DD has wanted to nurse constantly when I'm around.  I'm secretly loving it because DH has a TON of family in town this weekend. Without the nursing,  I'm not sure anyone would give up the baby.
