Hypocoiled Umbilical Cord and Circumvallate Placenta

Hi Ladies!
Went in for my anatomy scan and was informed that while baby is growing just fine in there I have a cirumvallate placenta and a hypocoiled umbilical cord. Wondering if any of you ladies have any experience with either (or both!) variables? I'm extremely nervous. My midwife comforted me and reassured me that as long as there were no complications/fetal distress that everything should be fine. Just looking for a mama that may have been through the same thing! I am 20 weeks and 5 days today.

I should add that there are lots of precautions, I will be having ultrasounds every month until 32 weeks and then weekly as well as NST monitoring.

I have never heard of either of them but I am sending you internet hugs! Fingers crossed that everything remains ok for you and baby.

I have not heard of either as well, but I am glad you are being monitored well.  Sending lots of prayers.

I'm sending positive thoughts your way! But I'm like other PPs and have not heard of it. Have you tried posting in the 2nd trimester board?? That might hit some extra people!

Hi! I don't have any knowledge on either but I was lurking the July 2016 boards and saw another woman who posted and said she has a circumvallate placenta too. She posted in the high-risk check in thread, maybe you can connect with her! Sending you positive vibes!!
