R/R/CS: I just want a shorter cycle than the last one, which was 52 days. I'm still thinking about acupuncture but DH and DS have been super sick and the number of doctors visits and prescriptions in the last 2 weeks has decimated the "extra" health savings money I set aside. So I am hesitant to get into acupuncture when I'm sure it will be something they want to see me multiple times a month for. For the ladies who do acupuncture--How many times a month do you go?
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live? I mean there are the practical things for where my house is, like good schools and close to my parents who watch DS. We live in the suburbs of Chicago so we have the benefits of the city within a reasonable drive.

R/R/CS: I've decided that if my temp doesn't go up tomorrow, then I'm out. I need a break from the BD/TTC/BSC train. This cycle is a TW. Here's my chart for those interested in offering some insight. https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/RatsPJ
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live? I live very close to a park system, so being able to hike/fish/bike right down the street is awesome.

WAYDTGKU: regular stuff, maybe try adding in opk which I've never tried before.
R/R/CS: going to be a nice day today! Can't wait to get outside on my lunch break.
GTKY: I live close to trails, parks, and the train right now. When we move we will have a beautiful deck with a gorgeous lake view! We will be farther from the train though but still close to great places to run and walk.
Will try to come back later to respond! Gets hard sometimes at work.
@Megzb510 FX for a shorter cycle this time.
@RatsPJ Sorry that you're feeling out this cycle. FX for a temp spike tomorrow. Hugs*

WAYDTGKU: BBT,OPK, Preseed, HIOED in FW,
R/R/CS: Nothing much yet today. Lots to do at work today so might not be one here a whole lot. Who am I kidding? I prob will.
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live? I live in the suburbs of Toronto. The neighborhood I live in is, in my opinion, perfect location because I'm literally 20 minutes from everything. I also live less than a mile from my parents which will be nice and convenient when I do have kids. I wouldn't change it that's for sure!

R/R/CS:my craziness has officially been reigned back in and I'm functioning normally on the ttc front now. Haha.
Min the non-ttc front, my aunt arrives tonight to visit Uae for the first time
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
Hands down location location location! I live an hour outside Dubai which has some nice-ish beaches and an airport that is conveniently located pretty much in the center of everywhere I want to go. (With the exception of family) I love that there's so much to see within a 3-6 hour flight.
@megzb510 I feel the same way about acupuncture. It's like massage, it's best when used routinely. And it's a commitment.
@ratspj I had one of those late o cycles. It sucks. There's only so much sex I can have before I'm just like f it. I'm sorry it's happenjng to you.

WAYDTGKU: Waiting on AF to leave, PNVs, Metformin, and back to OPKs and BD EOD starting at like CD 9 or 10.
R/R/CS: Nothing much. AF is almost out the door. I'm excited to get back into things and work on this cycle.
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
I live in suburbs of NY about 90 minutes North of NYC. It is nice cause we have all benefits of the suburbs but are still close enough to the city if you want that stuff. Its the same town I grew up in so I know where everything is and that the schools are good etc. Close to family which is a huge plus too.

R/R/CS: Convinced DH for one more BD session last night. I'm swearing off HIO until next cycle. Good news is I got another temp rise, so one more for CH. As exciting as holidays with the family are, this Easter is going to be exhausting. Driving 1.5 hours for brunch with DH's family, then another hour to see my family for dinner. Then 1.5 hours home. Plus my SIL is heavy PG and that's all anyone will talk about, and on my side there's a newborn. I just feel like I'm going to be a mess by Sunday night. Wish me luck.
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
Although it's probably the thing I hate most as well, here in IL we do get to experience each season, from super hot and humid, to snowy and cold. It's nice to get to see it all.

Still no rise this morning. I know i know....you're regular til you're not...but I've always had 22 day cycles so either this one is super late or O is not coming at all. Just playing the waiting game.
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
I live about about 45 min/an hour either way between Toronto and Niagara Falls....so lots of options to pop to either one if I want an exciting night out. The actual city I live in is coined "the waterfall capital of the world"..as there are over 100 waterfalls within city limits. The city is divided by an escarpment that we call "the mountain"...I live on top of it so I can see over the whole city and across lake Ontario...and see the Toronto skyline from where I live. It's pretty scenic and lots of things to do outdoors.

I was never able to get a solid smiley on the CBAD, so hopefully that's ok and still means I ovulated since the CBD OPK was positive yesterday. I will just wait and see what my temp is tomorrow. If I did ovulate yesterday, then that would be the earliest yet on CD 13 and it makes me believe acupuncture really worked for me. Only time will tell!

I'm approaching ovulation and noticed that the skin around my upper inner thighs and lower butt is extremely sensitive. To the point that even my underwear or pants irritate it. It feels like the skin is bruised or like a rash but Theres nothing visual. It happened last cycle but I chalked it up to a weird occurrance but it's happening this cycle too. (Both times right before O) Anyone else experience this? It's only the skin and lighter touches hurt more than pressure. Is this a normal thing with the changes in hormones? I tried googling and an either using wrong terms but I'm not getting anything.
Eta. Is there anything I can do about it?
@RatsPJ If the days after CD 20 didn't drop in temp, and CM wasn't mainly before, I would almost say CD 20. BUT I agree with @Megzb510I don't think you've O'ed yet based on temp. Do you usually have long cycles? Maybe you're having multiple LH surges this month? I'm sorry I can't be of more help
@Sandwichlover Seems like where you are now AND where you're moving too are both pretty neat places! I definitely suggest trying out OPK's, the worst that happens is you don't like them and stop using them right?
@kfair001 It also sounds like you've got yourself a nice little spot! I've been to Canada twice, once when I was younger to Quebec, and once by myself driving through a snowstorm on my way home from Michigan. I thought I put "through the states" into my mapquest, so imagine my surprise when I got to the freaking boarder!
@sarah0985 Yay for containing the TTC crazy!
@JediAlly85 We live close! I'm right in the Catskills. About 2 hours from the city. Though I must admit I hate the city because it makes me anxious AF (and that does not stand for the usual AF abbreviation lol) Glad AF is on her way out!
@nwegman7878 We also live 1.5 hours from my family and will be doing the haul on Sunday. Wishing you luck and good juju on Sunday.
I will also be back later for comments! I always feel bad because I post so early, and the majority of you ladies post later in the day so I don't usually get a chance to respond! But tonight is my break night from exercising so I'll have time carved out specifically for TB!

GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
DH dragged me out to the Catskill Mountains from my upstate suburbs. It's absolutely gorgeous in the summer. Lots of things to hike (not that we do), and places to fish (not that we have yet), and skiing in the winter (which we don't). Did I mention it's gorgeous?

We've had great timing this month (daily!) and I'm right in my FW so still not "feeling it" like I normally do so far as TTC TTC TTC. It would be funny if this is the month I got KTFU. I think, truly, it's that I've come to terms that I don't think we'll get KTFU without fertility assistance. Health insurance kicks in in less than 2 weeks, as soon as I have my insurance card I'm making that appointment!!
GTKY: Being a recent transplant from Chicago to Minneapolis I would say if you've never been to Minnesota before man is it beautiful. It really is the land of 10,000 lakes (I think we actually have closer to 11,000) I live 2 blocks from one of the bigger ones & I can't wait to enjoy the spring/summer time! There are loads of trails around the city & people are really active here- ALL THE TIME. PLUS the Skyway system that connects all of the buildings downtown so that you NEVER HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE is freaking bomb.com IDK why all the major cities in the north don't have something like that. Lord knows we could have used it in Chicago lol.

R/R/CS: Hmmm...nothing much TTC again today, just hanging. Trying to make a guest list for my 31st birthday in April (eeeeeekkkk). I HOPE that I can't drink and have to find some elusive way to trick everyone! I will toast to that tonight....
Super excited because I finally got toes to bar and a PR snatch last night (cue crossfit crazies). I have a very regimented weekday schedule that includes work, crossfit, dinner, spend time with DH and we rarely vary from it. It helps me get through the week and feel like I have my crap together! I think it is the Taurus in me (reference to TWW question). I hate breaking my regular schedule....I remember when I loved happy hour and doing stuff after work, now it literally makes me anxious!
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
I LOVE where I live. It is a city that in the last 10 years has done a complete 360 and become a really thriving little urban city! We can bike downtown from our house and are 10 minutes away from the beach. There are tons of great restaurants and lots of outdoor events!

R/R/CS: Another day, another random pg announcement. That got me kind of down yesterday. I tried to focus on the fact that someone else's family-making, someone I haven't spoken to in a decade, really has no bearing on my life or ability to have my own child. But it's starting to feel like everyone else has this superpower and I was skipped over. And now I have to figure out a way to deal with being skipped over. Sorry to be a crazy downer, I'm not actually as down as this sounds. My best defense is to not think about it too much, so that's what I'm doing today!
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
We love our apartment so much it's crazy. First, I grew up poor so the actual apartment is the nicest place I've ever lived. Then everything else! We live in an urban/suburban area (it was a suburb in 1900, now it feels pretty urban) in a midwestern city, so everything is walkable. We've got the best produce in the city just around the corner, a big grocery store just a block from that, 15+ great restaurants and an amazing farmer's market we can walk to, plus we live right off the main strip so it's really easy to catch the bus down to the arts district to check out breweries, galleries, shopping, etc. We've grown to really love this city; just sucks it's 3 hours from my family.
Also the people - everyone bikes or walks; we definitely have a nice vibe that people care about this community, and we've made enough friends it's hard to go somewhere without running into someone we know (like, we ran into 3 people we knew when we went to vote). So it's wonderful we have this community inside a big city.

I would love to continue to not temp this month but I'd like to take this month's temps in to my doctor next week (even though I'll only be at CD 11), so I guess I'll start again tomorrow. If I don't get KU this cycle, I've definitely decided to take a break from temping for cycle 5 and stick to monitoring CM and O symptoms.
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
This is tough. I live in a small town in rural Indiana and there isn't a lot going on, but because it's so small, everything is really close to my house. Meaning, I can be at the grocery store and back in 20 minutes, and I can ride my bike to the local YMCA to work out. Plus, we are getting a new restaurant soon WITH A FULL BAR within walking distance of our place. SCORE!

@vintageandrea90 that sounds really amazing.

@thefarmerswife0411 no. I'm a native of Chicago suburbs. I've lived here for 6 years.
I feel the same way as you do sometimes about just feeling like it's not gonna happen. I am undecided if we would ever seek assisstance. I need to know my options with my insurance and I'm not ready to Enquire yet. And yes about Minnesota. I like it there. Very active. We spent a few days this summer there and people were running and going for walks everywhere!

I love living in Omaha. I love living in Nebraska. Most people assume it's a farm town, but it's really not. The downtown area is lovely, especially the Old Market. We have national sporting events that come to town almost every year, my favorite being the NCAA Men's College World Series of Baseball. We have a great music and theatre scene. The part of Omaha I live in is very up-and-coming and we're blocks away from a microbrewery and restaurants and a bunch of bars, one of which is a popular place for bands to play. Love it!
Month/Cycle: 7/3
CD: 47
WAYDTGKU: Metformin, PNV, sex, OPKs (which seem to be a waste of money for me so far)
R/R/CS: I have my doctor's appt booked for next week! I'm hoping that she'll prescribe me Provera (yet again) and then we can also discuss other medication to induce ovulation. **Does Femara/Letrozole need the same monitoring that Clomid requires?
I also realized yesterday, that I would have to wait another week or so after my appointment to start the Provera if we do start medication this cycle because DH will be gone for 2 weeks and I don't want to risk missing the FW of a medicated cycle. So (sigh) that just means more waiting...
GTKY: We just moved to a very touristy area in FL last year and I enjoy the beaches and the seafood restaurants, but I cannot stand the terrible drivers and the unbearable heat over the summer! Humidity and I do not go well together haha. However, the winter here was basically Midwestern fall weather so that was wonderful!
CD: 29
WAYDTGKU: Acupuncture and RE next week (can't wait for that)
R/R/CS: SNOW DAY here in Colorado! Woot woot!!!
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live? What's not to love about Colorado? The weather is generally awesome, the sights are beautiful! Hiking, skiing, all of the above.
CD: 14
WAYDTGKU: pnv's, diet/exercise, hopefully try to get one more BD sesh in but pretty sure I O'd overnight.
R/R/CS: Pretty sure I O'd last night. I had 3 glaring + Opk's yesterday (morning, mid-day, and around 9pm) and this morning was negative and my temp shot up more than a half degree. Hoping two more high temps confirm.
Nbr - I got a raise and a promotion to Senior Management yesterday at work!! It may even be enough where I can stop working my 2nd job (prob after my wedding though bc a little extra cash can always help) so that's exciting. The bad part is that it obviously comes with a lot more responsibility which equates to stress so stress management will be even more important now! I really need to seriously look into yoga.
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live? I live in Northern NJ - what I love about NJ is you get a little bit of everything - you experience all the seasons - I live within a half hour of NYC, ski slopes, numerous malls - an hour from the beach; everyone always knocks on NJ but I truly love it. (Wouldn't mind the traffic to disappear though lol)
DX Diminished Ovarian Reserve, Factor V Leiden Mutation, Secondary Infertility
MFI (SA #1Count 11mill, Motility: 18%, Morphology: 1%)
AMH .328 | FSH 13.2
CD: 13
WAYDTGKU: HIO! Try to reduce stress and generally be healthy.
R/R/CS: I think I will O today based on CM yesterday. Timing has been ED for the last 4 days. I am not planning on temping or anything for a couple more months. Trying to keep this process as low stress as possible.
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live? I live in a small city (by N.America standards anyway). It's big enough to have all the amenities but small enough that there is a great sense of community. It's very outdoors oriented so I can go sailing or hiking or skiing or whatever literally minutes from my house.
TTC #1 since 01/16; Unexplained IF; Low AMH; Conceived naturally
Married 11/12; Dating 05/05
Me: 36 DH: 37
CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: not much at the moment, temping will start back up after AF ends
R/R/CS: I'm thinking that we will go ahead and try for this cycle. DH seems to really want to and I've realized that December wouldn't actually be that bad of a due date since I always get Dec. 24 through Jan. 2 off, so less PTO would need to be used for maternity leave.
Does anyone else look up due dates every month based on your LMP? Or look up cute ways to announce it based on holidays that are coming up?
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live? Year long summers and having theme parks all over the place.

@RatsPJ sorry I don't have much to offer. I thought CD 23 looked promising but then you had another patch of fertile CM. I know TTC can be exhausting. If you are able, I might suggest trying to HIO every other day this cycle, especially with the fertile CM. I wouldn't give up hope yet!
@SandwichLover I would love to live on a lake. We have one near our house where we go walk a few times a week. My goal is to live in that neighborhood. It's gorgeous!
@kfair001 that's so nice you live less than a mile from your parents. Mine currently live about 25 minutes away, but they plan to move closer if we ever have children. My in-laws are about 10 minutes away.
@sarah0985 I'm so jealous you live near Dubai!! How amazing! I get a small amount of psoriasis, especially around O and the TWW. I have used a prescribed topical corticosteroid in the past and that has helped. There are similar OTC medications you can use too.
@JediAlly85 If I lived in NY, that's how I would want to live...not in the city, but close enough to easily visit NYC. Do you go to the city a lot?
@nwegman7878 I can't believe you got in another BD session! I'm exhausted for you!
@vintageandrea90 wow! Your city sounds beautiful with so many waterfalls!
@mrsdaddario so sorry about the cat waking you up! I love your reaction to your husband, though!
@lcsrva enjoy your trip!!!
@thefarmerswife0411 enjoy your lunch date! I wish DH and I worked closer so we could grab lunch together!

@mokay19 your summers do not sound fun with the humidity but the rest of the year sounds just perfect!!
@DumbledoresArmyColorado is on my top places to visit! I have heard nothing but great things!!
@marley629 congrats on your promotion!!!
@kiwielopingbride I love being outdoors and would love to be able to sailing!

@TotororyInLove I look at my due date each cycle but have never looked up birth announcements or anything like that.

R/R/CS: I just deleted the app I was using to chart with and downloaded FF. I transferred all my data and am hoping for the best. My chart looks whacky though. I misplaced my credit card, but as soon as I find it I'll be ordering a Mabis (... I think that's what ya'll use)
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
We have wicked hot summers, which is great because 1) Going to the cabin is great when you can just jump in the lake and be cool 2) Wicked hot weather leads to wicked awesome thunder storms.
Married: 04/05/15
TTC since: 02/16/16
@beary67 we don't go too much. DH works in the city so he is there 5 days a week. But every once and a while we go to see a game or show. We love the museums and I really want to take DS but not sure if he will appreciate it yet he'll be 2 next month. But I do enjoy that is it so close we can go if we want.

Clomid + IUI + different progesterone to see if it stops the LP bleeding
R/R/CS: We started TTC one year ago today I was convinced we were going to get KU that first cycle because every women in my family gets pregnant right away and my first FW lined up with our first ending anniversary.
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live? We are between the mountains and ocean, so it is beautiful. Also, I love the fact that it rarely snows or goes below O.
@mokay19 There is a lower risk of multiples on Femara but you should still be monitored
@sarah0985 Some women get weird things like that that happen around O. It may not be common, but it might be that for you it’s a secondary sign of O. I don’t know if there is anything you can do about it, though, sorry.
@thefarmerswife0411 I have heard about places that have connections between all the downtown buildings and I, too, wish we had it in Chicago. I think Calgary has something like that and I know at least on city in Texas does so people don’t have to go outside when it is really hot.
@whiska Sorry you’re feeling down. Remember, you’re not alone in the struggle. We’re here for you!
@Dilynne yup, Mabis is the brand most of us use!@TorotoryInLove Yes, I look up due dates every month, too! I do avoid looking up ways to announce, though, because I think that would be too much for me.
Month/cycle: 7/8
CD: 6
WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, CP, BD (EOD until fertile CM, then ED)
R/R/CS: So I had cysts when I was in high school and the doctor told me that I would get pain from them when I ovulate every month. I got pain every month and assumed it was when I was ovulating and then eventually they went away. It seems my cysts are back because my ob/gyn said at my appt a few weeks ago that she felt one and then yesterday and today I have been having pain in that area (same kind of pain as when I had them before) but I'm not anywhere near ovulating. For those of you who have had cysts, when do you feel pain from them?
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
Public transportation, for sure. My husband and I are considering moving in about a year and I really want to go to California, but none of those cities seem to have good public transportation and I loathe driving.
@vintageandrea90 I am so jealous that you live near Niagara Falls! That area is definitely one of my favorites in Canada
@lcsrva I am envious that you love craft beer. My husband has been into it for a while so we often check out little places... unfortunately the majority of these places don't offer anything I can even choke down..... lol
Month/cycle: 2/2
CD: 6
WAYDTGKU: RL tea ( I just picked up some of this yesterday after seeing that so many of you ladies drink it!) PNV, OPKS soon
R/R/CS: Meh, I already feel out this cycle which is frustrating. My husband works away and he misses my FW this cycle. FX for a longer or shorter cycle to mix things up this month? lol
GTKY - What's the best thing about where you live?
I live in Edmonton and there is a lot of things I love about it! In the winter I'd say my favorite thing is that we have a hockey team! My husband and I love going to the games.... now if only we would win occasionally we would be set! I also love that within a 5 minute walk of our house there is everything we would ever need
BFP #1 April 12, 2017 EDD December 19, 2017
@RatsPJ I'm so sorry this cycle is being awful, but I'm so incredibly impressed with your ability to keep up bd-ing. I would have given up a week ago! I really hope you see a temp spike tomorrow. Signs look good with the drop today - fx!!!!!
@SandwichLover I'm not even you and I'm super excited for your new deck! That sounds like an amazing place to read a book with a cup of coffee in the morning or relax at the end of the day.
@kfair001 Yeah, I feel like I bump a lot at work whether it's a busy day or not! I also love my hood because we're 15-20 minutes away from everything by car - makes everything so easy.
@JediAlly85 Hooray for almost being done with AF!
@nwegman7878 I'll also be doing a lot of driving but will not have to face pg people and difficult emotions. Good luck with this weekend!
@vintageandrea90 Wow, your views from home sound gorgeous! Hope you see a temp change soon!
@beary67 FX for noticeable temp rise soon!
@sarah0985 Could it have to do with bd-ing so much around O? I know I get that sensation sometimes on my forearms (kinda similar skin in terms of composition and innervation) but I never know what it's from, and eventually it goes away.
@mrsdaddario Bahaha, you sound like me. "There's all this great stuff around, but you'll likely find me on my
couch watching Netflix."
@lcsrva Have a wonderful trip!!! Check in with us if you can! And your day today sounds like the perfect pre-departure day!
@thefarmerswife0411 That's great you've had good timing! It is weird coming to realize you might not be able to conceive without assistance, but we can do this! Just FYI, I recently had labs ordered but couldn't get them done because my insurance required an infertility diagnosis, in a special letter from my obgyn, to cover anything related to infertility. Your insurance might be different but I would start looking into their requirements now so it doesn't derail you (now I have to wait two months to do mine).
@Zoey1019 I love the sound of your weekday schedule! I wish I could be that disciplined, but then I stress out about "When would I shower, when do I eat, when do I do meal prep?" And thanks for the good thoughts. I do try to think about the women I know who came out of the other side of infertility with babies, but my mind always goes to worst case scenario. And I just hate that anyone has to go through all that to make a family, when others can just oopsie their way into parenthood. My green is showing
@kellybean1988 I think that sounds like a fun experiment! Anything to keep these dull tasks lively!
