Another mama's post here (@gipfish) made me think of a question -
What is your mommy superpower? In other words, what can you do for or with your little one that no one else can do? (I think we've all earned the right to brag a bit.)
For example - I'm the only one who can get Calvin down for naps in his crib. The secret is one long shush, followed by five short shushes. Works like a charm for me!
My little guy Cameron poops every 4-6 days and so far my super power has worked 3 times now. When we get around to that 5th day I threaten him with a suppository and BANG in 1-2 hours he has a major blow out and I never end up having to actually give him the suppository!!! It is a win win for the both of us!
I'm the only one that can get him to go to sleep without holding him. It doesn't even take any genius to do it, but apparently impossible for DH or anyone else.
I'm a mostly single mom. I have the power to handle homework for DD1, listen to her problems with friends, cook dinner, do housework, and put baby to sleep. Sometimes this all takes place at one time. This is what I do on a daily basis after working a 10 - 12hr day at a job I'm loving more and more recently. I fucking rock. lol.
If there's something strange underneath the hood. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. If there's something weird and it don't look good. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. Immediately. If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.

Can you transfer this power to me? Emmett is usually a 5-7 day pooper but last week he went 13 days without pooping so our pediatrician gave us a suppository which worked...well now we are on day 7 with no poop and I really don't want to have to give him another one but I also don't want him to not poop...ugh!
Also my superpower is being able to eat just about anything with one hand while entertaining LO with the other!
My super power is doing everything alone. My husband works constantly. Yesterday I signed a thousand papers with a baby sleeping in my arms (we bought a house) had the tires changed on my car, took Elliot to have her pictures done with the Easter Bunny, went grocery shopping, carried them all in, and the car seat and diaper bag, put them away, fed the dogs, took them outside, fed the baby, cooked dinner from scratch, did the dishes from dinner, picked up the living room. All in FOUR HOURS. Yes. FOUR HOURS. Yesterday I felt like a super mom!
