  • I have not posted before, because it really isn't my thing, but now that I am on bed rest... why not?
    1. Today I was put on bed rest for my blood pressure.
    2. Since I am diabetic my ob is not thrilled and just kept telling me, "I really want to get some more time out of you".
    3.  DS is on spring break so... bed rest is really not how he had planned on spending it.
    4.  All of my family live 6 hrs away and want me to give them a firm date so they can make hotel reservations.  In what world do they live in that a pregnant woman can give them a "firm date"?
    5. I have to update my resume.  Need to interview for fall teaching spots.
    6. Oh and nursery is not finished!
    7.  When I told DH that I am not dilated after my appt he said, "babe you are not good at having babies".  Have to agree that this does seem to be a trend.
    8.  DS has guilted me into playing his video games with him....HELP!!!!!
    9. Need more heartburn meds!
    10.  Hoping to hold off on the c-section till 39wks!

  • 5. My dad was just diagnosed with prostate cancer and has to have his prostate removed. He is my world, Im super nervous for him but I pretend not to worry until it is biopsied and we know if they got it all.

My dad got his prostate removed about 3 years ago after finding cancer. He's totally cancer free now. It's scary, but the prognosis is excellent with early detection! Hang in there.

Yep I'll tag on to this. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 6 years ago now? He had the one surgery to remove it, and hasn't had any problems since. The best thing about a prostate cancer diagnosis is it is one of the most treatable cancers with a 90% rate of survival for 5+ years. And my dad is going on 6, with no additional related health concerns :)
