High Risk Check-In 3/21

We seem to be holding to the every-other-week schedule.

How far along are you?

How are you feeling?

Why are you high-risk?

Do you have any upcoming appointments or procedures?

Questions/Celebrations?

GTKY: What have been the most surprising (good and bad) parts of this pregnancy so far?

Re: High Risk Check-In 3/21

  • How far along are you? 20+5

How are you feeling? Better! Had a bout of flu last week, but I'm getting some energy back.

    Why are you high-risk? IC

Do you have any upcoming appointments or procedures? Anatomy scan next Monday

Questions/Celebrations? Tips for dealing with hemorrhoids? I had to go back on Zofran because it was compatible with my other medications, and it's tearing me up. Literally. I have the Tucks pads, and I own a Sitz bath even though I've never used it.

GTKY: What have been the most surprising (good and bad) parts of this pregnancy so far?
Good-baby kicks are more discernible and reassuring.
Bad-never anticipated how sick I'd be. DS was such an easy pregnancy in comparison. We are done after this baby, although we both would like 1-2 more.
  • @lgem4 I think the swollen part has gotten better since last night, it's just really awkward and uncomfortable. At this point, I'm pretty much feeling like Dory.

How are you feeling? Still have morning sickness, but some days I feel good

Why are you high-risk? Heart disease, cardiac arrest,  tracheostomy,  seizures, pulmonary embolism, the baby has a cystic hygroma

Do you have any upcoming appointments or procedures? In less than two weeks we have a fetal echocardiogram with a heart specialist and we also have our anatomy scan. Anxious for those appointments

    Questions/Celebrations?

GTKY: What have been the most surprising (good and bad) parts of this pregnancy so far?

Surprised at how sick I've felt, and surprised I haven't felt flutters yet since he's measuring almost two weeks ahead of me

  • How far along are you? 18 weeks

How are you feeling? Pretty good for the most part, a little more tired. Always eating!

Why are you high-risk? I'm having mono/di twins (identical/share a placenta) and they are the most high risk type.

Do you have any upcoming appointments or procedures? I had an ultrasound at 16 weeks and everything looked great and I joined a mono/di fb group and asked if I should be seeing a Perinatolgist and everyone said yes and was shocked I wasn't already, because they should be monitoring for twin to twin transfusion (where one steals nutrients from each other). The monitoring should be weekly or biweekly starting around 16 weeks and I can't get in to see the specialist until April 4 (19+4) and my OB appt isn't until a week later. My OB doesn't seem concerned and the specialist literally has no time before then. I'm a little freaked out I'm not getting the proper monitoring, because it's a pretty serious condition if it happens...

Questions/Celebrations? Should I be doing anything Else?? And my birthday is tomorrow. Yay!

GTKY: What have been the most surprising (good and bad) parts of this pregnancy so far? It's been pretty easy. I've always heard with twins it's worse but I wouldn't have even guessed I was having twins because I never was sick!

You can only do what is within your power.  The good news is you are getting into a specialist and your current OB is not worried.  Good luck.

    How are you feeling?good

Do you have any upcoming appointments or procedures?  Cervix check on Monday.  Also hoping that I don't have a fibroid.

Questions/Celebrations?  I think I felt little Jack move.  I will be so relieved when I can feel him and can stop getting the Doppler out every day.

GTKY: What have been the most surprising (good and bad) parts of this pregnancy so far? I got a positive test at 9dpo.  That morning I had my hcg drawn and it was only 3.6.  Technically not even pregnant, but obviously I was my hcg was just still low due to being early.
