Neighbor downstairs threw an all-nighter party on Saturday night from 9pm - 2am.... and lit an illegal bonfire making it smell like a campsite in our living room. Just tattled to the landlord on her.
I have a work-related injury that I'm on the way to the doctor's office for and I'm pissed because A) I'm in a lot of pain and B ) I will need to disclose to the doctor that I'm PG and hope that that information doesn't make it's way back to my employer because I haven't told them yet.
My SIL eloped yesterday. She sent me a few pictures and asked me to make a fb announcement for her since I'm "so good at those kinds of things." Then specified she wanted to post it by sunset. I was annoyed, to say the least, but I did it anyway. That was yesterday at 6 pm. She hasn't posted it yet. Grr.
My BF is at myself, I was too nervous to tell my boss before that I am pregnant and now I want to tell him before my NT scan on Wednesday so this way if it goes well I can announce to everyone. Well he isn't in today and has a meeting tomorrow. Looks like my only chance will be before I leave early on Wednesday if he is even in! Mad at myself for being so paranoid and waiting.
*Also slight BF because I only want to announce it on Wednesday if everything looks good because I am tired of my family and DH's family asking when they can announce it to everyone. Like seriously?

I have gotten 3 texts TODAY from family members asking when they can announce to their friends. Hold your horses people!

I could fall asleep any moment, but I have to work for another 3 hrs 45 mins. Also, I'm so darn hungry and I forgot my lunch at home so I settled for some soup, but that didn't full me up.
@annabenanna Dude. I have no idea. I'm an only child and my husband is youngest of 8, with 5 sisters. I just go along because I don't know how to deal!

@rozANDbenSINCE2001 , LOL. This is cracking me up. It's so weird she asked you to announce it. Also so weird that it's specific: sunset! OMG. You need to keep me posted on the development of this story. Haha
I have been at a work conference since last night and all day sessions (7:30am to 8pm!) with only one break for a happy hour (which I cannot even participate in) is seriously cutting into my nap time and adding to my already absurd hormonal rage. Oh, did I mention I am here with my boss who doesn't know I'm pregnant? I hope he is turning a blind eye to the 3, count 'em 3, desserts I just had at lunch. Ugh.

@turtlemomma If that information gets back to your employer, it is a violation of HIPPA (assuming you are in the US), and you can sue. So likely it will not.
@smmatt08glad to know someone else feels my pain! This is DH's parents first grandchild so they are of course overly excited. This will be my parents third but first from me. MIL actually said so after Wednesday can I tell everyone? I was like well I want to tell my boss first just make sure no one posts on fb and she was like oh well I don't know if I can. Oh well they will have to wait then! I am sorry I get that everyone is excited but it is my body and I am the one who is pregnant, should be my news to share! DH is even getting on my nerves saying we should of told everyone already. Like seriously...next time maybe I won't even tell DH I am pregnant lol

I have two! 1- my boss made me move my US appt that was scheduled today because it was inconvenient for her for me to have ONE FREAKIN' APPT during our weekly call. So I moved my appt to tomorrow and found out this morning that the call is cancelled. So now, I have to wait an extra day to make sure everything's okay because of..... nothing! 2- I was nauseous all weekend and I don't wanna work (that one is more of a whine than a bitch lol)
I'm trying so hard to cut back on my two little guys' (2 & 4) screen time. I feel like they're becoming screen demons!
It's taking all my willpower not to turn on the tv. (They've already had too much iPad time and watched a show today)
Also, I just found out my MIL has told all of DH's extended family about our pregnancy already. I know it's "only our third," as she put so kindly, but she didn't even ask.
@lizzilou - keep up the good work with your sons! I'm sure that's tough to cut back on... and I'd be ready to strangle my MIL if she did that... and said that! sorry you're having a rough day :-/
My MIL forgot I was pregnant. As in - asked me to help my husband move a piece of furniture at their house this weekend. My husband laughed and said "You're joking, right Mom?" and she seemed genuinely confused. And no, she has no mental issues. When he said I was pregnant, she just said "Oh, that's right. I guess after the first one it's just never as exciting."
my ex is making my life miserable and trying to get me to abort after 3 past miscarriages, no way is that happening. and to top it off his mom told me to deal with it
@bnsmith85 Thanks! It's so hard. I try to limit their screen time to 2 hours total. I've been terrible about that lately!
My MIL is just really thoughtless. She wants to be the one to break the news and get all the attention. At this point it's easier to just roll my eyes at her and move on. This was the reason we told her after we had told everyone we wanted to share privately with. I'm just dreading the hissy fit I'm sure will happen when we don't tell her "early enough" when I'm in labor.
I am being so f-ing diligent about not having all these foods that we are advised to avoid, then find out there's a recall due to possibly contaminated tuna a couple days after I had a can for the first time in like a year
I would like to be able to put ONE THING on the table without a nosy nosy cat getting into it or knocking it over or sitting on it. I am not prepared for children, heavens help me.

Right there with you. I told my parents by having DD come down from a nap with a promoted to big sister shirt on. My mom took one look and said "that's exciting" and immediately returned to giving DD a million toys she brought for her. Thanks a lot. Can't wait to see how my in-laws react. Lol.

My angelic second child fought me on her nap today. Normally I just tell her it's nap time and she toddles into her room and waits for her tuck in and stuffed animal. Crying screaming fits today. >:( she actually just passed out mid snack on the couch. I don't even want to try and wipe her face. She was CRANKY today.
@annabenanna Just an update for you: she finally posted! I have no idea what the hold up was and she never texted me back except to say, we like it, thanks. :::shrug::: DH's family is a little strange!
rozANDbenSINCE2001 she's so weird! But you know what, it makes for interesting stories! hahahaha

My mother sent me FOUR links to articles from Fox News today. I hate it when she just sends us a bunch of reading partly because she's extremely right-wing and I usually disagree with her, but also because I feel like the stuff she sends me is for her benefit rather than something thoughtful that I would actually *like* to see. Also, I feel like it's a cop-out for actual conversation. I'd rather read a tedious story of all the things she did today than just get a bunch of links sent to me.
I'm recovering from an emergency surgery due to ovarian torsion {yup...while pregnant. Baby is fine!} and I'm sick of ppl in and out of my house. I'm in so much pain. I appreciate the assistance but I really just want to scream out in pain and cry in private.

Good vibes for a quick recovery! And get DH or someone else to police your front door so you can get some rest and recover.

I ended up speaking with the doctor about it and he said that because it has zero to do with my injury (and that the pregnancy is unaffected by the injury) that he won't say anything about it to my supervisor. Huge relief! Also turned out to be good that I mentioned it because they had wanted to do x-rays but reconsidered when I brought up Scuba Steve, lol.
Umm the hormone relaxin is no joke, my tailbone is freaking killing me and if I walk more than 1 block it kills and I'm pretty sure sciatica is already starting. Awesome!!
