Amazon registry issues

Wondering if any of you have had this issue and what you did to fix it?  My mom is panicking because my Amazon registry doesn't seem to be updating when people purchase something.  I haven't looked (gave her my password so she could see what WAS showing up) but apparently it doesn't match.  So, when someone orders something from the registry, it still shows that item as available.

I tried contacting Amazon and got nowhere.  Any thoughts?  Right now it's looking like my mom will have to manually remove things from the list as they show up at her house.  (This is obviously people who can't make the bridal shower but are still ordering - these same people have been asking my mom to confirm that presents arrive because they aren't getting tracking info.  Of course, the return address is always "Amazon Fulfillment" so she has to open to see the receipt - she's not just being nosy!)

I'd like to relieve mom's stress if I can, but I have no idea how to fix the problem!

  • I don't have an answer for you, but I can't find on my Amazon registry where you can see if anything was purchased or not... it's much clearer on buybuybaby.com registry.  It's frustrating.

  • When I view my registry there is a button that says "list action" in the upper right hand corner. If click on that and select filter, it gives me the option of how/what items I want to view. Purchased, unpurchased, both, etc. I have to select that each time I view it to see any updates. It doesn't automatically default after I make a selection there. Hopefully that makes sense. Not sure if it will solve your problem but should at least let you get to where you can see what has been purchased. And if you click on thank you notes on the left hand side, it will show you who purchased what. This option I can't see from my phone, but it is there when I view my registry on a computer. 
  •  @lwcbrooklyn From the registry's main page, it has a line that says x of x has been purchased. To see purchased items click here. Showing a shot of mine below. "10 of 39 items on this registey...."
  • Agreed, the registry on the phone screen is almost impossible to use!  And it lists everything completely out of order, so when I was setting it up and looking for something in particular, it always took forever to find it!  On the computer it seems a little more clear, except for the current issue I'm having. 

    I'm hoping that what's actually happening is people are just ordering from Amazon and its not necessarily registry stuff - I did put a little note on there to the effect of, "yes we need baby clothes, go for it!"  Hopefully that's what's happening and it's not that the registry has totally lost its mind.  :neutral:  We'll see I guess.  I contacted customer service again and was told that there was no way for them to check if the system didn't update automatically.  Sigh.
  • If checking on the phone, use the app as it is much easier to find (menu, lists, registry).I haven't noticed any issues on mine- it seems to automatically update.
  • Instead of having to wait and see if something was bought by it showing up at her house she can click on the purchased link at the top of the registry and take items off from there. Still a pain.

  • My husband got sent a link to a thank you list and it lists who got what as well. Can't tell you how to get there without the link/email but he said it got sent today. That doesn't really help but maybe Amazon let's people know uts already purchased since they are evidently tracking?
