Very late intro

Hi everyone!

I've been posting a little more regularly so I decided to create an intro post. I lurked all through my pregnancy but didn't start posting until a few months ago. Better late than never right?

I am 26 (27 at the end of July). My husband will be 27 on Sunday. We are high school sweethearts and have been together for over 10 years, married for 3. This is our first child and she was born August 5th at 6:00am. 6lbs, 13oz and 19 1/2in. I chose to join the July board because she was born early August and the August board is super dead. 

I have worked in retail for 10 years, almost 8 at the same company. I currently work in the apparel section, meaning I sometimes work in the infant department. I get to learn about new baby products and of course get to look at the adorable clothes. I was made a department manager about six months before I got pregnant and stepped down the week I came back from maternity leave after deciding that daycare wasn't going to work for us. Best decision I could have made. I love knowing that when I'm not with her, my husband is. We're so lucky that we have been able to manage with such a drastic pay decrease.

In my spare time, I enjoy crafting. Especially sewing. I like being able to make exactly what I want when I can't find it or I can make it cheaper. It was so hard to find a girly purple and green crib bed set that wasn't $100 and I was able to make a quilt and bed skirt for $30 and still have fabric left over.

I also enjoy cooking/baking and trying out things I find on pinterest.

I can't wait to post more on here and get to know everyone a little better. Thank you for reading.

Well hello there!

I'm also an August BMB (Aug. 3rd here!), and I float here also because it's dead over there. 

Im 24 and also married to my HS sweet heart. Hubby is an assistant store manager in retail, so I know how crazy those hours are on a new family. Are you still working there? Just not as a manager?

And yay for craftiness! I've been saving LO's diaper boxes for upcycling into cute storage bins. Just have to get around to doing it

Hi!! I'm Ivonne and my son is David Israel. Welcome!!! Like you said better late than never lol  

My baby boy was born on July 7, 2015 at 4:19 pm and he was also born at 6 lbs 13 ounces and 19 1/2 inches tall!

ETA: I also love baking!!! But haven't done it much lately, I'm hoping that one day my son will enjoy baking with mommy also and it could be like a mommy and son hobby!

Hey!!! My son was also born on Aug 5th. My EDD was 7/27 so I have been with the July board from the beginning and never paid attention to the August board until i went past my due date.

I am 28 and my BF is about to be 29. We have known each other since 3rd grade and kept in touch after high school and have been together for the last 5 years.  We definitely have plans of getting married sometime but aren't in a rush. 

I work in Oncology, I love it and have always loved the medical field. I enjoy the constant learning and changes of things. Also cancer patients are some of the most amazing people I have ever been around and I love how much joy they get out of day to day life. It shows me how precious time is and keeps me in check about that.

SO is an A/C man but is currently taking a break from work because it ended up being easier and cheaper for us to have him at home with LO rather than in day care and since my job has the benefits, he is currently a stay at home dad and loving it.

I love craftiness also! I too have been saving diaper boxes, plus they are pretty handy. I always have at least 1 project waiting to be completed at a time.

Welcome ladies!!! The July board has been amazing and they are so helpful and nice and there is hardly ever any cattiness or drama so enjoy!!

Well hello and welcome! My LO is named Gianna and she was born July 28. I'm 26 as well, and I'm a former preschool teacher (currently a SAHM). Hubby is 27 and works in construction management. We met in college (Go Gators!) and have been married since June of 2013. Good to have you!

My name is Michelle; I gave birth to my first child, Hazel Mae, on July 20th. I'm 28 years old, a National Park Ranger turned military spouse, currently stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. My husband David and I have also known each other since grade school, and have been married now for two years (but it feels like twenty in the best way)!

My name is Lindsey, I'm 28 and hubby is 30. Kinsley is our first child, we for sure want more! She was born on July 7 at 1:11pm weighing 8lbs 4oz, 21in long. She was due July 14, but I always said she'll come July 7. How weird huh!? 

I am a Marketing Communications Specialist in the Oil & Gas market here in Houston. Very flexible hours and work from home a lot...keeping my LO with me.

@micshi Yes I still work there. I've been in the same department for the past 5 1/2 years. I was an associate first, then became department manager for a year and a half and then stepped back down to an associate. As for the diaper boxes, I too save them. I repurposed one as a cat bed and covered two others in colored cardstock as temporary toy boxes. I also save them to store clothes that DD has grown out of.

@vineheart137 I lived in Melbourne/Palm Bay, Florida from age 13 to 21. I now live in Tenn. but my family still lives there and I plan to visit in August.

We are relocating to Miami, later this year! Florida is such a nice state for families!

@Kater-cole Whaaat?! I'm originally from Palm Bay! Born at Holmes I grew up there until we moved in 1997 and since 2007 I'm in Phoenix, I'm a sunshine person at heart. Just miss the water...

So, all, late intro but I'm Kelly, 33 and my SO is 41. We had our first LO July 3rd, tiny peanut at 5 lbs 4oz but full term.

My husband works for CPS and I'm a patient experience director at a hospital. I've been kinda depressed about going back to work when I see the stroller mom group doing walks in the park in the mornings but after a week at home with a sick LO I think having a job suits me. 

July is good, June was fun too, everything seems dead now though! Anyway, welcome to the board!

Hi! I am late to this as well lol. I have been on this board since before my little one arrived last July but went through some tough times after he was born. My name is Katye and i'm 26. My almost 9 month old's name is Emmett. We live in Southern California. I am a single mother by choice. This means I chose an anonymous donor and had an IUI, so my story is a little different. No dad lol. I currently am a stay at home mama but work as a part time professional photographer and own a small shop called the Itsy Bitsy Boutique. My son was born on July 26th, 2015 weighing 8 pounds and 11 ounces. He had a rough start as he developed an infection possibly from inhaling mecconium, so he did stay for a while in the NICU. But he is doing great now and growing so fast! I look forward to being a part of this group again.
