    No longer:
-Caring what I eat (including crushed ice that I am suddenly crazy fond of)
Are you getting enough iron? I've heard that when you crave crushed ice, you may not be getting enough iron.
This is real! In college I started going for giant cups of ice all the time, just to eat it. A friend asked if I was anemic and I was like "no way." Then I randomly got a blood test shortly after, found out I was super anemic. Started an iron supplement, and instantly stopped wanting to eat ice.

Unless by crushed ice you just mean a sno-cone, in which case I would want that all the time if it was warmer here!

  • Being fully clothed at home. No pants are the best pants. :)
  • No longer:
    - comfortable in any position
    - able to do anything without huffing (even getting dressed)
    - wearing pants (stopped in week 9, when bloat started and never looked back)
    - picking up anything I drop
    - think that pregnancy goes by fast. I can't believe i might get bigger and feel even more restricted /uncomfortable in the next weeks to come!

I am no longer concerned about shaving my lady region.  If a doctor or nurse cares that is really too bad for them!!!
I only do it for the hubby. Although he probably might to better without. I can't tell but I have a feeling it looks like Edward Scissor Hands was down there.
  • 1. Giving any F's. Like at all.
    2. Sleep
    3. Shaving regularly (although I do try to do it every couple weeks, with the exception of my armpits. Those are every other day).
    4. Being overly nice to doctors and nurses. I'm quite over them at this point. And I still have 10 weeks to go.

I appreciate the concern!  I have definitely heard of that being a symptom and it did come to mind, at first.  I haven't gotten a blood test, but I doubt it.  I'm not showing any other signs of anemia, and I do get extra iron from my vitamins and cereal that I eat, anyway.

Plus, I have kind of always liked crushed ice (YES to sno cones--Bahama Bucks is my jam!!  And sonic drinks, yum...) and just seem to want it more often now.  I'll have a glass/cup once a day or so and it really seems to help with my heartburn, thirst, and the heat we have here in Texas all in one shot--win-win! :)
  • My pants dilemma is no pants are comfortable but dresses require shaving and warmer weather. Leggings for days.

My solution is maxis (no shaving) or midis (shave just to the knee). I'm hoping tomorrow is the last time I have to wear pants!

  • 1. Getting off the couch without  help
    2.  Getting out of the bed like a normal person.  I now have to roll over push myself up to sitting on my knees and then crawl backwards off the bed.
    3.  Putting on socks is getting a lot harder
    4. You can forget tying my shoes
    5.  Picking stuff up out of the floor that I drop unless it is absolutely necessary.   DH let me borrow his robot arm thing.  You know those long sticks where you squeeze the handle and things on the bottom open up and grip whatever you have them grip.  They work okay.
    6.  I no longer go anywhere unless I know exactly where the bathrooms are!
    7.  I'm no longer wearing a bra at home or work...... probably tmi, but on the plus side, I work from home so there really is not much of a difference.
    8.  I no longer wear real clothes at home/work..... instead I have a daytime set of PJs and a nighttime set of PJs.
Socks and shoes are so hard! Thankfully I don't wear shoes that the and I already brought out my flip flops!  I am starting to swell in my calves and I have compression socks but DH has to put them on and take them off!
  • Breathing. I feel like I am no longer breathing.

In all seriousness I cant take a deep breath anymore. I have never in my life thought as much about my oxygen intake as I have over the last couple of days. Baby can you drop a bit please? Mummy needs her lungs!

  • Enjoying food. First pregnancy, eating was the best part! This time my appetite is not good at all. I'm just as hungry, but rarely does anything sound good. Except sweets, they're always good. But I have to do better than eating donuts and cookies all the time. Ugggh. I should eat something now. I'm hungry because MH made some unpalatable pasta crap for dinner that I couldn't eat.

Sperrys or Toms or slip on sneakers like Vans are all I can wear these days
