What's new with baby (size, development): Pop Rock/Apple Seed
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Telling our families tomorrow. This will be the first grandchild for my parents and they have NO idea we were even trying so I'm pretty excited to surprise them. My due date is also my mom's birthday... cue waterworks.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: My boobs have got to go. I am totally over them feeling like torture balloons stuck on my chest.
When is your next appointment: first appt is 4/7. Still so far away!
GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? Downton Abbey. Even though that era in fashion would do nothing for my voluptuous figure... lol!

Still so tiny! The size of an Appleseed

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: My husband and I are cleaning out the room for our nursery.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: My boobs are SO freaking sore. It hurts to roll over at night. The pain actually wakes me up!
When is your next appointment: my husband and I are meeting with our midwife for the first time today! SO EXCITED!
GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? This is cheesy but "Raising Hope". The Chance's are so funny and I just love the whole town. Haha

Boobs slightly sore but not much. Exhausted...falling asleep around 8:30 the last two nights. Usually have insomnia.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I am a bit obsessed with checking the toilet paper. Some days, very blue from Estrace tablets, some days nothing, twice a tiny bit of pink. So nerve-wracking!

My kids use me as a jungle gym and it's making my nausea worse. My youngest, 18 months doesn't understand. Any tips?

Week: 4
What's new with baby (size, development): Poppy seed
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: At this point it is all new! I feel like I have so much I need to learn. So, I guess I am doing research.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Not really feeling any symptoms yet. I feel very normal, which I guess is a symptom in itself because I don't feel PMSy.
When is your next appointment: Going tomorrow for official urine test. I will find out from there when I go for bloodwork. I am in the military, so I still need to figure out the process...
GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? It would be a rough life, but I would want to be a badass shield maiden on Vikings. Love that show.
Week: 7
What's new with baby (size, development): Baby is the size of a blueberry (.51 inches)
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: nothing new yet... Though hubby is trying to be extra supportive of me. That's pretty great.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Boobs hurt, cramping is now back and morning sickness comes in waves –though I think it’s getting worse. Pregnancy chews were no help today.
When is your next appointment: Tomorrow! First ultrasound and I am excited!
GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? Elementary. Love the plots.

Oh, and I did do something today after all :-) I accidentally told my mom. She wormed it out of me. I think she knew I was hiding something. So she called today and was all 'so, what's going on with you? Anything exciting? Any NEWS????' And I just snapped 'well, no news YET!' And she instantly knew what I meant and was so excited.
Husband will not be happy. He isn't ready to tell people. But my mom has been through fertility struggles too (six pregnancies for two kids) so I know that even if something happens, she will be a support. It just felt weird to keep such a big secret from her. I'm glad she knows, but I am sorry my husband might not take the news well :-)
