Problem with one twin...

I had light spotting earlier this week. I freaked out and went to the ER. I am having twins and I am 15 weeks. They didn't seem concerned but sent me back for an ultrasound to check on the babies. The doctor explained that one baby looks perfect and the other one "doesn't look good". She said it looked like a cyst or something on his neck. She even said it looked like fluid was coming out of it. She said it's a possibility that I could have a miscarriage of either one or both babies. I am just lost. So down about this news. My doctor wants to see me in a week to check and is setting me up with a high risk doctor. Has anyone been through anything like this? I just feel so helpless.

Hi, I don't have any experience, but did read a story recently on a BMB about a situation somewhat similar. Long story short, mom to be went to ER and was told by ER docs that there was some sort of growth on her baby and it could be x,y,z scary condition. Turned out to be something totally different. I would try to calm down until you're seen by a specialist with more experience. Sorry you're going through this! (I believe the story I'm referring to was on the July 2016 BMB if you'd like to try and find it).

ER isn't the best at diagnosing fetal issues so I'd wait until you see a high risk dr to get the facts.
    Scairy none the less.
