Need a girl name to go with mn Thelma

So it's super early for me to be worrying about this but I guess that's me. We've kinda landed on a name for a boy but I need a name for a girl. Her middle name would be Thelma for my husband's granny. I don't love the name, but I did love the woman. So there we are.
A couple we've kicked around are Rosalie nn Rosie, Amelia, and Lucy. Thoughts? Other names that sound ok with Thelma? Thanks!

  • Frances Thelma
  • I like Rosalie. I would avoid a name that ends in a for rhyming purpose.

    Celestine Thelma
    Nadine Thelma
    Bernadette Thelma
    Cecily Thelma
    Josephine Thelma
    Margaret Thelma
    Catherine Thelma
    Lynette Thelma

    Eloise Thelma
    Harlow Thelma
    Juliet Thelma

    Abigail Thelma

  • I would pair it with a name that doesn't sound "old." I think Rosalie sounds the best out of your options.

    Charlotte
    Audrey
    Holly
    Claire
    Valerie
  • Thanks all! I LOVE Eloise but my daughter's name starts with an E and I'd rather not have them both start with the same letter.

I think I'm settling into Rosalie. My only reservation is the twilight character named Rosalie but hopefully no one in our kids' generation will read those books so it won't matter.

  • Love Rosalie Thelma!
  • I wouldn't worry about any Twilight references, since Rosalie is such a classic name. There is always going to be some sort of pop culture reference (trust me, my daughter is named Dorothy after my DH's great grandmother). Rosalie Thelma is beautiful!
  • Definitely not 'Amelia Thelma.'

I really like Lucy Thelma! I like Rosalie as well, but Rosalie Thelma doesn't have the same flow to me. I just really like how Lucy Thelma rolls off the tongue.
