Not coping :(

I am really struggling to get through till my 7 week scan, I found out so early that I was pregnant (10dpo) tomorrow I will be 5 weeks pregnant and I don't know how I can make it through another 2 weeks being positive and staying sane!!
Mice been having my hcg levels tested but they won't do them anymore they have been going up great but today's one has made me feel a bit down! They have been 12 Dpo - 28 14 Dpo - 120 16 Dpo - 380 and then today at 20 Dpo it was 1400 so it hasn't quite doubled to what it should of been. I also have no symptoms what so ever not even sore boobs or anything!!

What at are you ladies doing to get through, it's only two more weeks but it's so hard!! I've suffered 4 miscarriages before 3 chemicals so I have passed that stage and then one at 6ish weeks.

Re: Not coping :(

  • I'm sorry to hear how difficult the journey to this point has been and can understand why you would be anxious. I haven't dealt with HCG levels but as far as symptoms go, my first time around I didn't have any symptoms until 8 or 9 weeks so I don't think that's something to worry too much about. Try to take it easy until then and maybe treat yourself to some pampering to get your mind off of it in the mean time. I hope everything turns out alright for you.

  • I'm sorry for your losses. This type of post would be better suited in the PGAL thread. The ladies on there have all been through losses. It is a great way to get a lot of support for these types of questions. As for me, I don't really have much advice except for trying to find other activities to distract you and spend your time doing.

  • So sorry for your losses. Waiting is the worst. Try not to worry about not having symptoms, some women have no symptoms at all and totally healthy pregnancies. Sending sticky baby vibes your way!

  • I know how stressful the wait can be, especially with prior losses. Just try and remember that most people don't start to have noticeable symptoms like morning sickness until they are into their 6th week, so I wouldn't be worried at 5 weeks if you are not feeling any. Also some lucky people don't feel it at all. I had a girlfriend who said she only felt nauseous once her whole pregnancy and had a totally normal pregnancy from start to finish otherwise. Hang in there!
  • Waiting is definitely so hard.  I keep reminding myself that this is the hardest part, and then at least the waits will be shorter.  I am mostly trying to think of other things(impossible, I know, but I try), and to keep busy.  I hope the next 2 weeks passes quickly and you get wonderful news!

I just wanted to add that hcg only doubles every two days up to a certain amount and will then start to take longer to double as it rises. If your doctor wasn't concerned about your most recent draw, I would take comfort in that. I'm sorry for your losses and wish you luck!

^^What she said. I know it's tough and your feelings are absolutely valid but try and go about your days like normal and that appointment will be here in no time.

  • I'm so sorry. Anxiety is never easy to deal with. My only advice is to find lots of things to fill your time - stay busy at work, go out with friends or your H, find a distracting hobby. I really like knitting when I'm anxious. My hands are moving, and my brain has to focus on the task at hand or I'll mess it up. I've also heard that adult coloring books are really relaxing (and they come in some really intricate and interesting designs).
