Eye color

Has anyone's LO's eye color changed yet ? My DD still has her blue eyes with no sign of darkening but I read eyes can change up to 6 mos. I am hoping hers stay blue she has dark hair like her mama and blue eyes and dark hair are a beautiful combination imo.

Re: Eye color

  • DD started slate grey and now keep switching between looking very green or warm brown so I'm curious how they'll go. Similarly she has dark hair and olive skin so green eyes would be very striking. My dad's were emerald green and her daddy's are blue-green. More likely she'll get my really dark brown eyes. However it goes she's beautiful.

DS started with the slate grey as well and they turned brilliant clear blue by around 6 months and sometimes still look very blue depending on what he wears. Now at 17 months more often they're looking stormy grey now and started changing that way since turning a year old.

  • DS changed to dark brown by 2 months. DDs were a blue until after a year they changed to grey/hazel. They can definitely change after a year.

Same, we can't tell if they are going to be green like mine or brown like her daddy. Either way both eye colour is gorgeous and we will wait to see.

I've wondered if they may even split the difference and be hazel. My parents both talked about mine being deep blue and not turning brown until I was a year old buy hers aren't like that.
  • LO's eyes are still really dark blue.  DH has blue eyes and mine are brown.  DS's should change to either brown or hazel, but no sign of that yet.
  • DD has striking blue eyes, just like her dad and brother. I hope that they stay blue. I just applied for a passport for her, and I asked about they eyes. I was worried that it would be a problem on such an official document if it said she had blue eyes, but ended up with brown eyes. They said it didn't matter children that young since they know eye color can change.

DH has two color pigments and was told to just pick a color and try to make sure it matches on documents. They chose blue for his driver's license so everything just matches that.
  • DS still has the most beautiful, clearest blue eyes.  I will enjoy them now because I am sure they won't stay.  DD was born with green that changed to hazel and then to brown.  DS1 was born with brown that never changed.  Now this one with light blue.  The progression is interesting even though I know the outcome.
  • DS has his father's chocolate brown eyes. I've had a bunch of people comment on them. Pretty much one of the only things he inherited from his father
  • I'm holding out for green eyes!! Right now both girls' have only lightened to a blue-grey. Both DH and I have greenish eyes (his a lighter tealy green, mine more hazel green), so I'm hoping the chances are good!
  • I'm not sure how they'll turn out just yet. We both have brown but my grandma is the only one with brown eyes of her brothers and sisters. I don't even know what color this is lol
  • That looks hazel to me. Very pretty

I hope they stay! There's still a long time to tell though and they could change any time
  • She started grey and hers are a middle brown right now. I have hazel eyes and her daddy has brown but I'm hoping they will keep lightening up lol. I keep telling him that they're dark hazel right now haha :)
  • My little guy has the britghtest blue eyes just like mommy and daddy!
  • My LO is 3 months and he was born with blue eyes! Now they are changing with every lighting change. From bright blue in sunlight, to green in regular light, and brown in dimlight! So who knows! Haha! I find eyes extremely beautiful and captivating all on their own no matter the colour...
