Quick question about ovulation prediction testing

My RE has me using the Clear Blue ovulation prediction testing.  Today was my 10th day of testing, and still no positive result.  No biggie, but I need to get more test strips.  I bought another kit (I am using the digital ones).  Do you think the new box of strips is OK to use with my original tester, or should I be using the new tester that the strips came with?   Does this kit work by looking at changes in LH levels (so I should use the tester that has my last 10 days of testing info inside it), or just by looking at overall LH levels (so I can use the new strips with the new tester).

Maybe I am over thinking this, but I don't want to screw it all up.
Me: Age 38  Husband: Age 39
Chemo killed my ovaries
Currently:1 female embryo frozen at blastocyte stage, graded 6AA with a BRCA1 mutation
4/16 ER cancelled on CD7: 1 follicle on L/ 0 follicles on R
Now planning FET 7/6/16
Also starting ER in June (my sister is donating eggs), and will try for a boy/second pregnancy

Re: Quick question about ovulation prediction testing

  • As I recall, when I was using the clear blue ovulation kit, I was told to use the new tester with the new strips. I did have a few fail on me. Maybe it was just my bad luck, but I had a few error messages come up so I'd have to go buy a new kit, which was a pain. One month the kit was showing I was ovulating for 11 days straight, which is clearly impossible. Hope you have better luck with it than I did!

  • Have you tried the wondfo strips? I bought them on amazon and I liked them much better than the digitals.
They're very cheap so you can test twice a day so you don't miss the surge.
