TTC After a Loss

TTC Apps

Any advice and some good apps to help with TTCAL? I have some time before we can TTC but obviously would like to track my next couple cycles. Was just trying to get a feel on any really worth while apps. I use to use P Tracker prior to my MMC but don't really love it or hate it. TIA

Re: TTC Apps

  • I used P Tracker before my MC as well and feel the same way. I recently started using Glow. It seems pretty okay, there's a community aspect as well but from what I've seen so far it just seems to be drama. Other than that, the actual tracking aspect is great. You can even track ovulation tests, CM, pregnancy test, BBT, moods, etc..

  • I'm wondering the same thing. I had been using Clue to track my cycles/fertile windows before, and I liked how straight forward it was. But it doesn't take my MC into account, and since it averages the length of my cycles, everything is all screwed up now. I'm wondering if I need to just start over completely or get a new app.

  • I've been using Ovia for three cycles now. I don't temp so I simply use it to record CM, physical symptoms, and emotions as I go through my cycle, and also use the calendar monthly view. I haven't used it much to compare past cycles because it hasn't really been long enough. I think there are probably better apps out there if you need something to interpret data for you, but for me it does the trick.

  • Most people around here (at least on the TTGP boards) use Fertility Friend.
  • I use fertility friend - it gives you average statistics but you can exclude cycles (which I've done for the MC and the first cycle afterward) - I used to use the TCOYF app but I like how you can superimpose charts on FF

I love fertility friend. I have the paid version and it has all sorts of extras to analyze what's going on, some of which are helpful and some of which just encourage the crazy. Plus if you're participating on here or TTGP, using FF makes it a lot easier to get help with chart stalks since pretty much everyone is familiar with it.

  • I use FertilityFriend and I love it. 10/10 would recommend.

I've also used Ovia and it's okay. My problem is Ovia is that it doesn't really seem to know what to do with the temp data that you input. However, if you're not temping Ovia is probably not too different from FF or whatever else. Ovia seems to mostly go off CM and OPKs. It does also track nutrition, fitness, symptoms, cervical position and texture, pregnancy tests, fertility montior results, medications, and has a section for notes. So I'd give Ovia 6/10 or so and probably higher for someone who isn't temping since my biggest gripe with Ovia is that it doesn't really utilize my temp data very well.

  • @klauerinaking I also use FF but just the free version. What would you say is the biggest benefit to using the VIP version?

  • I use the paid version of Fertility Friend, but this month i am being extra crazy and trying some others simultaneously to see if I get any different info. so i am also using Ovia and Kindara, and entering cm, temps, periods, bd etc in Apple's native health app on my phone. I figure it's worth putting it all there too since i have an apple watch adding all my movement there, and a sleep tracker going there, and my fitness pall connected to it. I am feeling very much like my own little science experiment lately :o
  • @MooFish2364 , so far I really like the stop light feature, it analyzed the data entered and gives us a green, yellow, red light related to fertility status. I am also looking forward to analyzing the pregnancy symptoms. I also like the chart overlay. I have only used it for a few weeks so I will update once I play with it more.
