Curious if anyone else is like me and decides names in the first trimester.
We have some leading contenders and I'm curious about what others have thought. Our most likely boy name is still quite variable, but William is probable. Kirk, Ewan, Rory, Iain, and Jack are still also on the possibilities list. Girl will likely be Maisie. Possibly Penelope, but I'm waffling on that one.
How about you?

Nov 3, 2016: Our family became complete. Welcome DS #2.
The only girl name I love right now doesn't go with my daughters name, unfortunately. I love Aurora, buttttt my daughter is Elsa and the Disney princess theme seems a little much even for me (the world's biggest Disney nut).
The only boy names I love are no-go's for family reasons. I love Charlie, but I have 2 uncles and a cousin named Charles and that seems like a lot. I also love the name Tucker but my aunt lost a son in the third trimester named Tucker so obviously we can't choose that either.
I'm feeling pretty hopeless. It will probably take us the entire 9mos to agree on something. It wasn't this hard the first time!
Something I found funny: Rory and William are both on our boy list. Someone on the name board recommended Rory William and my husband and I both just burst out laughing. Huge fans as we are, we can't go so far as to name a (soon-to-be) doctor's kid Rory William...

I have a great picture of my sister about 12 hours after she had her son with him swaddled between her legs and her reading a baby names book. Obviously we are very different people, haha.
^^
This! We can't agree on names either. It's a fight to the bitter end each time. He hates my names and I hate his. I tell him every time that if we don't agree when the baby is born, he forfeits his right to naming the child.
Boy- Zaith
Girl- Zuri
Boy is a toss-up between Russell David, William Robert, or William Russell. They are all family members (Russell his living grandfather, William his deceased grandfather, Robert my brother and grandfather, and David his brother and uncle). I think we are leaning towards Russell David, because it would mean the world to his Gramps.

I am either blessed or cursed as it is just me deciding..like if i f* up, and the child hates it, I'm the only one to blame
Trying to find names that are pronounceable in Norway and in The Netherlands, which is hard, because I really like traditional 'older' names and those are hard to pronounce for either country. And when I do find a name and tell my bestfriend, she's like..oh no..here that means...or we use it for ...
It's exhausting.
I agree with @comealongponds: naming a person is a big responsibility. I already regret my cats name, and my bunny changed his name twice during his 9 years of living...

My 18 month old is Mathilde and goes by Mattie. When she was born, we were team green but we were convinced she was going to be a boy, so we didn't have a consensus for the girl name. In the end, after about 40 minutes of back and forth in the L&D room, DH let me win because I had gone through 16 hrs of labour.

FFTC H's name is Dan and we may have thought a little too seriously about naming* DD Daenerys.
edit: spelling

That's the hard part - we knew DS would be Sawyer (boy or girl, although I'm glad he was a boy because I do like it better for a boy) and we love it. So this time around it's been hard to find a name we're as confident about.
Girl names I like: Ella (although I'm worried it's too popular), Vivienne, Eilliot, Marlowe, Hattie
Boys names I like: Hudson, Jude, Milo, Beckett, Finn
But my husband doesn't love any of them. And I'm not sure I do either. So I'm still searching.
I'm also not crazy about my legal name, my parents chose the most popular name of my birth year (decade actually) and I've always found it so irritating to be one of two or three everywhere I go. DH has a normal but uncommon name, which is what we're aiming for...we'll see how that goes! Now that we might be naming two....ugh things just got more complicated! I don't want the names to be too "themey" or similar (I loathe people who dress twins the same, and give them names that are similar) but I don't want them to be too different either! A friend of mine just had twin girls, and she and her husband each named one! I don't think I could do that...
