All this constipation talk got me thinking I had better be proactive to avoid cement guts. I spent all morning at the hospital doing my new Dr intake and lab work, didn't feel like kicking off my yoga pants and going to the store for fiber so I just devoured my toddler's prune pouch.
Take that constipation!
It's like playing Russian roulette with my evening. Good thing I got through TWD already on DVR.
I tried a random thread in the beginning and it didn't work. Maybe it's too early? Anywho I'll weigh in. My stomach is either all about diarrhea or constipatation. For the love of god please just even out! My butthole can't take this! Also my toddler is running me into the ground.
I am jealous of the fact that Gallifrey, our rescued cockatoo who has issues with women, only likes my husband. For some reason, I am almost in tears about this fact right now. Stupid hormones.

I don't want to take out my belly ring but DH wants me too. Think I'll have to order a mat one soon enough and he's not good to be impressed. Not in the mood for that. He keeps saying "it's going to poke the baby". He thinks he's funny. Anyone else with a belly piercing and what are you doing?
@kristah2 it's not on my radar yet...I've contemplated the maternity kind vs just taking it out but at this point, I'll be so happy to make it to the point where it becomes an issue...
@kristah2 with my 1st pregnancy, I took mine out at the end of the 1st tri with the thought that I'd put it back in and that never happened lol. I actually tried to put it back in a few months ago but that was a fail lol as its been 3 years now <sigh>
My Random is that I'm taking a cooking class with a couple of friends tomorrow and I'm sooo excited about eating it ALL, it's a Tapas class and I looooove tapas mmmmm
@TrulyBlessed22 A cooking class sounds like so much fun! I've always wanted to try one just never have. My husband and I have gotten really into painting classes the last few months and those are a blast.
My random is that I'm going to ride on a firetruck in the DC St Patty's day parade on Sunday because we're spending the weekend with our fireman friend. I'm excited like a little kid about it for some reason! haha

I took mine out before I was pregnant last time and honestly the hole got stretched and became kind of painful. I can't even imagine if I had had something in it!
@emmieann22 this will be my first cooking class and I'm really excited about it. Ive done a few Wine and Design painting classes and they're so much fun, DH agreed to go with me the next time so I'll be looking forward to that too.
My 4 year old son just made me laugh/cry. He was singing "I broke my radius" to the tune of the jeopardy theme music. I feel sad that he broke his arm, but am happy that he's got a sense of humor about it.

I have trust issues with cockatoos ever since DS became obsessed with, "Rio."

I'm impressed he knows it's his radius he broke. I had to google to double check.

Nigel was in the running for names for him, haha. Rio was a favourite around here for a long time. He's a galah and half plucked (self-mutilation from neglect) so he's somewhat less intimidating than the bigger white 'toos, but he actually does do this glare that my husband calls the Nigel stare. Mostly he annoys the cats and eats everything in sight.
@HomeyDontPlayThat DH is obsessed and now I'm pretty much in the same boat. There is something wonderful about not knowing which of the tapas you picked is coming out next lol. Also, the obvious, which being able to eat so many things in one meal and not feeling disappointed because the 1 meal wasn't that great. If one isn't all that there's usually another one that follows and if you really don't like the lase one just add 1 more tapa from the ones you liked to balance it out LOL
My random is that here in CA we have a relatively new program called transitional kindergarten, which is basically a 2 year kindergarten program for some 4 year olds. They recently changed the birth date cutoff, which means my 4 year old qualifies, which I was totally unprepared for. Anyway, all that to say, today I'm taking her to kindergarten registration, and it's totally making me weepy.
Here is my random thought of the day, I really want to make a lasagna tomorrow. I don't know where this idea suddenly came from but now that it is in my head I can't stop thinking about it! I want to make a lasagna tomorrow. I will do it.
Both of my sons are napping right now. This is when I get to rest, and shower in peace. If one more fucking garbage truck goes by, beeps, or one more loud ass fire truck goes by, I'm going to snap.
I've been busting my butt since my son was born (19 months ago) to lose some weight. I'm even down 25 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight. I'm very tall so I luckily carry it well enough.
However, I just indulged in a big mac meal from McDs to quash my salty junk food craving and it was GLORIOUS. I mean, sweet baby jesus. How can something so gross in nature taste so good?
Eating some crackers before getting out of bed helped a lot with the MS this morning. I'm at a loss because I really had no MS to speak of with my last pregnancy. I'm terrified that it's this bad at only 6 weeks.
In related news, I think this morning was the greatest day of DD's life. She got to sit in bed and look at pictures of herself on my phone (she very rarely gets screen time) and eat crackers (not a typical snack for her) with mom.

I can already tell that my toddler is going to get away with a LOT of crap now for this same reason.
My husband never comes home from work before 7, usually more like 8 or later, and although we're planning to change that as the pregnancy progresses and we move, right now I am just soooo lonely!
I'm currently spending my Friday night researching minivans online and I.am.stoked about getting one. Holy crap, life changes!
I'll put in a recommendation for Honda Odyssey. We have one and I love it more every day. And we've had it almost four years. DH talks about getting something different when it reaches x amount of miles but I'd be crushed! Me and my minivan are BFFs. And it cracks me up because minivans are so not cool.

Ahhh, thank you! This definitely helps because the Odyssey is on our short list!

@thatlauragirlso I don't know how they are now but my first car was the family mini van, a Toyota Sienna, and that thing lived FOREVER. It was 10 years old when I got it, then I drove it for 3 years, and somehow it even survived me and got handed off to an Aunt when I moved away to college. It was a workhorse.

I had NO idea they came in colors like that! How gorgeous. Almost the same hues I want for the nursery if it's a girl.
