This is a weekly check in for the lucky ones who have made it to the 3rd trimester!!! If you are in week 28 or past, feel free to join in on the weekly fun.
If you're just joining us, please post a mini synopsis in your first post with your EDD, how many beans, if you know the sex(es) and how you have been feeling in 3rd tri along with any appointment updates.
QOTW: Is there a place you're dreaming of taking your LO to one day? Or an experience you'd love your family to have together?
3rd Tri ladies and their bundles:
Re: 3rd Tri Checkin- Week of March 7
We also took some time this weekend to transform our downstairs office into a little playroom for baby (it's open on the kitchen, and we've put the playpen, bouncer, swing, etc. And we'll be putting mats on the floor and play mat and other toys in there. We also transferred a nice chair from elsewhere in the house so I have an extra breastfeeding spot). That also meant transferring the office to the little nook we have upstairs, and I'm quite pleased with how that turned out. Thankfully we got help from a friend to move everything, and I got to try my chair with their cute little newborn.
QOTW: ah, so many places I'd love to go! We'll definitely be going back to Italy (DH has extended family there), but I'd love to bring my kids to Australia, Africa...We travelled quite a bit (although more throughout the US and down south) when I was a kid, and those were amazing experiences and better than any physical gift my parents could have given us. I remember visiting a Cuban family (we're from Canada, so allowed to go to Cuba) back when I was 12, and I remember having tears in my eyes after the little girl went to get my mom and I some flowers because we had given them a pack of gum (that she shared with all the kids in the neighbourhood within 2 minutes). I wanted to adopt her and bring her back home. We're lucky to be well off, but one thing I want my kids to grow up with is humility and respect for others, and I found that travelling is a great way of achieving that by exposing them to the realities of people in different countries and diffferent socio-economic circumstances.
I am 29 weeks today! I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. I am sure it will slow down soon enough.
I had my OB appointment yesterday. I voiced my worries about baby boy not being as active as he had been over the last 4 days and I was a bit concerned. She checked his heart and tried to make him move and check it again but couldn't get a great reading, so she wanted to do a NST. I had the NST done after she had me drink some apple juice and he perked right up. He was all over the place and everything is fine! He is head down now, or at least he was yesterday. I have to have a growth ultrasound next time I go back in two weeks, she wants to make sure he is growing because I haven't gotten/am not very big. My fundal height is measuring right on though, so I think he is fine. She was not happy with my weight gain (hence wanting to do the growth scan). I gained 2 pounds since my last appointment which was four weeks ago so I should have gained 4 and she said that's on the low side for me. According to them I've only gained 7 pounds. But I started seeing them at 9 weeks, I gained weight before that. I am at a total weight gain of 10 by my calculations. She said she wants me to gain more than two pounds by my next appointment on March 21.
DH and I had our first birthing class last night. THREE hours. She used to do her classes 6 sessions one hour each, but has changed it to two sessions at three hours each. I feel like three sessions at two hours each would be much easier to handle. We have our next one next Monday night. I'm even more nervous for labor than I was before. Yikes.
Okay, sorry this was so long ladies!!

9/15/2015: BFP HCG - 400, 9/17/2015: HCG - 827, 9/21/2015 - HCG 3,327!FIL lives in Florida and we joke that he's had Mickey Mouse on speed dial ever since we got engaged (that was 6 years ago...). We'll be going to visit for the first time at Christmas, but because of their work and how little baby is going to be, we likely won't make it to Disney that time. I expect our kid will have been to Disney as least once by age 2. I just wish we could hold off until he's big enough to really appreciate it, but I don't think FIL is going to be able to be that kind of patient
Glad to know everything turned out okay with your NST. I had to get one a few weeks ago after I tripped. Got to have an hour of relaxation in the middle of my work day listening to baby's heart
EDD 5/28 with baby boy
im feeling good but huge. I'm only 28 weeks but measuring at 32! @AdorkablePixie you and I seem to have the opposite problem!!
it hurts to do the simplest things like bend over to tie my shoes or get down on the floor to play with DD! I know baby is high up in my ribs too which is causing lots of heartburn and indigestion for me.
I need to call OB in few minutes to see if they've scheduled my c-section yet. It's making me anxious that they could possibly change the original date as I had everything and everyone set up to take care of DD based on the date they gave me. But now it's all depending if they can get the earliest slot in the OR. Fingers crossed they did or can!

@KidShrink Yeah, I definitely want my son to be old enough to remember the trip. I was thinking maybe 5 or 6. That way we'd have time to save for the trip as well! Having a kid to do stuff like that with is going to be so much fun!!
@NB817 Wow! Measuring at 32 weeks. Have they done/are they going to do a growth scan on you because you're measuring so much larger? Maybe he's just a big baby. I am afraid of that.. DH weighed over 10 pounds when he was born, I am so worried that is going to be our son too. lol

I'm a bit scared though because I came down with the norovirus on Wednesday night so I'm hoping she doesn't catch it - it's a nasty virus (vomiting and diarrhea) that I've read I will stay contagious for a few days if not 2 weeks and I'd be devastated if she gets it as a newborn.
Qotw: I'm just looking forward to visits to the little things: the petting zoo, parks, beach, etc.
@mrsloriw : woah that's so soon!!! That's really exciting! I hope we hear good news from you over the next few days!
Funny moment for me today: I'm waiting in line to pay for the ink I had to buy for my printer. There's a woman and her daughter right in front of me, with a cart full of stuff. She tells me to pass in front of them because I only have one item, and then goes on to say that she wouldn't want to keep me waiting, because 'you never know when it might happen!'. And a bunch of clients asked me over the last few days when I was due (with one sending me an email to confirm her kid's appointment and telling me she hoped me and my family were doing well after giving birth). I sure look quite pregnant (all belly thankfully), but all these people discussing how imminent this might be is starting to scare me a bit...baby needs to make sure not to show up before April 15 or so. Anytime after that is fine. I still have so much to do in terms of work-related stuff...it's scaring me for sure!
@efhoping2010 You're so close!! How exciting.
I hope they come on their own and you don't have to wait for an induction.
@mrsloriw Wow, you're due so soon! Hopefully since she has been in you while you've been sick she'll have an immunity to getting it from you? I'm not sure if that's even possible but I hope she doesn't get sick when she's born.

She was super scared of getting herself too. I hope you feel better really soon! I can't imagine how awful it'd be to give birth with those symptoms...and like @AdorkablePixie said, maybe you'll pass on some immunity to her?
