trying to conceive- brown spotting before period every month

I'm getting concerned because we are trying for #2 and the past three months I am spotting around cycle day 10 brown discharge and sometimes a dark red mixed in. It doesn't require a pad or tampon but it's sometimes on my liner and I see it when I wipe. I also notice some (sorry TMI) tissue like discharge in the toilet at times too during this time. It lasts here and there for 3-5 days until I get my period which is typically 14dpo. I have been about a 26 day cycle and ovulating the 12th or 13th cycle day. I'm using clear blue advance opk testing which have been consistent with the high and peak days and my temps have shown the increase every month as well indicating Ovulation occurred. I'm worried the brown spotting is a signal something is not right in my luteal phase so if anyone has any experience with this I would gladly listen to your story. My doctor said they will see me but really not sure why it's happening so they probably won't be much help. Past history we conceived my son June 2014 and I was 34 on our first month of trying. I used the same clear blue test and my cycle was very similar. I did have some brown spotting around cycle day 10 that month we fell pregnant and they thought it was implantation it was much less then now and everything was fine that pregnancy. I am now 36.  Just looking to see if anyone else has had this spotting and found any information about the cause.

I don't have any experience with this, but everyone's period does present itself differently (I get thick clots with AF occasionally).  

Also posts like this are usually saved for the R/R/CS section of the WTO/TWW threads.  Around here not much merits creating a new thread Otherwise stuff gets bumped down that shouldn't.

Please do not create new threads about similar or the same topics that you just posted about. Also, as  MrsDramaK stated, please join in with our TWW(Two Week Wait) or WTO(Waiting to Ovulate) threads in the R/R/CS(Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk) moving forward. All the ladies that participate in those threads will be able to see your questions and concerns there without creating new threads.

Hi, you can't delete threads, so it's fine just to leave them. Just use the daily threads going forward. Welcome! 

To answer your question, what you are describing sounds pretty normal. I almost always spot for 1-3 days before my period. It's also possible to spot at any time throughout your cycle for any or no reason. I wouldn't worry at this point.

None of us are doctors, but from my non medical perspective I would say what you are experiencing is completely normal.  I nearly always spot for a solid 3 days before my period.  If you are seeing a spike in your temp which indicates ovulation I really wouldn't worry about this.
