This is a weekly check-in for those in their 2nd trimester: weeks 14 through the end of week 27.
Congrats to all the strong ladies who have made it this far! It's such a great feeling and we've all accomplished so much! We are now 1 week closer to the end of this especially long journey we call "infertility".
Please post below a little about yourself, how many beans you have growing inside, if you have found out the sex(es) and what your EDD is. Please also let us know how far you've made it on your journey and when your next appt is and what for.
Congrats to the mommies who have graduated to the 3rd trimester!
QOTW: Have you crossed an item of your bucket list? If so, what was your favorite completed item? What are 2 outstanding items on your bucket list?

Had my 16 week appt last Friday, strong heartbeat. April 1st we find out the gender! Moving into our house April 2nd so it's a crazy month.
For bucket list , I finally worked my way up to getting to get in the water and feed our blind turtle at CMA where I'm a volunteer last week. I was really pushing to meet all the requirements to get to do it before I got too pregnant. It was an amazing experience!
Morning ladies! I had my anatomy scan on Friday. Wyatt was moving around so much and ended up sort of curling himself up towards the end so they couldn't get a good look at his heart and a few other things. I am going back April 1 when he's a bit bigger. I will be 22 weeks. I'm a little worried about the heart because they couldn't say anything and she asked if I had a Fetal Echo with Noah. I told her no, and she said that they usually do that because the risk of a heart defect with IVF is higher than that with a natural pregnancy. I was never told that. I don't know if I liked her so much after that, but I'm willing to go back a thousand times to make sure he is OK.
She confirmed it's a boy and again, couldn't get a really good shot. This kid was crazy. The tech seriously was storming around on my stomach with the US stick LOL
He's measuring 3 days behind and is 7oz. Here's some pics!
@TerraMae80 I love the foot picture! We got one at our last ultrasound too Such tiny, adorable toes! @katie121209 Congratulations on the new house!
Updates this week... Baby is moving like crazy! I love every single poke, jab, kick, punch, roll I am also starting a new job soon which is both exciting and scary! And I started looking into hypnobirthing classes. Anyone have any experience with hypnobirthing? I am going into this labor and delivery with the goal of having no medicine so I think I need some training and hypnobirthing sounds like my best option. I know some people who have done it as well (and succeeded) which is inspiring for sure!
QOTW: Hmm that's a tough one! Traveling to certain countries can be considered bucket list items I think. Right before we starting TTC, DH and I traveled across France and Italy for a few weeks and it was beyond amazing. I guess I'd say that other outstanding bucket list items would be to continue to travel to other countries in Europe in particular.
Hi Ladies! 25+3 today! Went in for my normal check up today.. Baby boy is measuring great and is still moving around non stop. The dr had a fun time trying to hear his heartbeat. Every time she found it, he moved! Lol- he's already having fun playing games
we we spent the weekend at Disney world.. So much fun!
I have gained 20 pounds now, which the Dr is thrilled about, but she still wants to see steady weight gain. I was a little under weight before pregnancy, according to their chart. So she's wanting to see +40lbs for the entire pregnancy. I'm a bit freaked out, as this is the most I have ever weighed, but for what it's worth I feel great, and am all belly so I try not to worry about it. With that said, I have to sleep sitting up because my back is killing me! I think the pressure from baby and my belly is pressing on some kind of nerve or something. I took a nice picture of my sleeping quarters so you could have a good laugh. DH laughs at me every time we get in bed
not sure on the bucket list thing, but at some point post baby, DH and I want to visit Europe.. He really wants to watch the Steelers play there :-/
Hi everyone!! I'm 15w1d today with my two little ones. Feeling pretty good. Still just REALLY tired, but I think that's more because I just don't sleep well. I flip over a lot because my hips are hurting (already) and I wake up every time. Side note, @kaitielynnrichardson - what kind of pillow is that? I'm looking for one that has two sides, so I don't have to move my pillow with me when I flip!!
I had my Harmony (free cell DNA) test re-drawn yesterday because the result of the first was "Quality control error - quantity not sufficient." My genetic counselor warned me this happens sometimes and even had me wait and extra week and a half before having it drawn. Her thought was that with twins, my blood volume is so much higher, there just weren't enough fetal DNA fragments in there. They have a 70% success on re-draws. My luck, I'll be in the 30%. So, now another 5-10 day wait. I'm not very patient these days.
Besides that, I have screening labs next week for gestational diabetes (Hgb A1c and fasting glucose). I'm about 75% sure I'll be diagnosed next week. I'm just feeling a little nauseous after meals at times and I remember that from my first pregnancy, when I was diagnosed at 14 weeks. Since I was diagnosed so early last time and now have twins, my endocrinologist is pretty sure I'll have it again, so I don't have to do the glucose tolerance test. Thank goodness! It made me SO sick last time!
ETA: QOTW: My heritage is English, Irish, and Scottish on my dad's side and German on my mom's side. I've been to all four of these countries, which I think is cool. Two outstanding bucket list items - I want to get to all major league ballparks and pre-kids, I made it to all but 3!! I'm going to have to get going on that. Hmmm... I guess I'd also love to take an Alaskan cruise.
*** Child & current pregnancy mentioned ***
Me - 41 (PCOS), Hubby - 43 (healthy)
7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)
3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl!
@emsmama15 Hang in there momma. I hope you get some rest soon and I hope all your tests come back great and I can't wait to hear the results of the DNA test.
I'm 16 weeks today with one baby girl. I'm feeling pretty good, and am anxiously waiting to feel those first little movement flutters! I caved in and purchased a fetal doppler to use at home a couple of weeks ago, and I can't get enough of hearing her little heart beat.
QOTW: Not necessarily on my "bucket list", but I'm soooo excited that DH and I just booked a trip to Hawaii in April for a babymoon! We wanted to get something planned before flying was too uncomfortable. We love Hawaii and couldn't think of a better place to relax and enjoy our last vacation as couple before our little girl arrives.
Morning ladies! How is everyone doing? I don't know if it's just me, but my hormones are really kicking in this week. I'm a bitchy emotional mess! Hit 19 weeks though! Almost halfway there!
@TerraMae80 I hear ya on the hormones... I feel like I can cry at the drop of a hat!
Yesterday morning I cried while DH and I were talking about our babymoon. We've delayed planning because of Zika, then I found out the company I work for was closing or being sold / I would be getting laid off, then we got moved to high risk which was traumatizing, and then I got a new job. Now that things are sort of settled down we are back to planning our trip which is scheduled for a month from now! We're on the east coast and plan on staying in the US now --- we originally were thinking the US Virgin Islands but that's a no no because of Zika, then we thought Europe but I'm a little nervous about flying that far and that I wouldn't be able to tell the waiters that I can't eat unpasteurized cheese in French, Spanish, Italian, etc. SO! Northern California it is!!
Hi ladies--I see some familiar faces, and I'm so excited to be joining the 2nd tri board!
My EDD is 9/8/16, it's just one little bean, and we are not going to find out the sex of the baby until he or she is born. My 12 week ERA went extremely well, and I totally cried when my husband and I saw the baby. I'm glad your screening went well too, @katie121209!
My next appointment is tomorrow, and I will be 14w1d pregnant. I already can't wait for the 18w ultrasound. For now, I am just wondering when my belly is going to look cute instead of a little lumpy.
We already went to PR in January, just before the Zika virus news came out, and that's all the "excitement" I ever wanted for this pregnancy. So now my bucket list is to redo the kitchen and go on a mini trip with my younger sister.
I don't have any babymoons or bucket list adventures but we are going to rent out a cabin in northern AZ for a weekend and do my maternity shoot while we're up there. That will be a nice little getaway from the heat before the baby is born.
@chrissym126 Welcome and congrats on making it to the second trimester! I've added you to the list!
@TerraMae I feel you on the hormones! I've been so emotional lately and work stress is only making it worse! I am generally not clingy at all, but last weekend I kept tearing up every time my husband left the house. I have no idea why! It started when he left for work Friday morning (and I was leaving about 5 minutes after him). He wound up canceling his Saturday night plans because he could tell I was about to cry when he kissed me goodbye. Then, I felt so guilty, I started crying about that! Thank God that clingy spell has seemed to go away.
I had my OB appt today and can't wait for the big ultrasound next Friday. I'm nervous about it, but mainly excited to see my little baby!! Today has officially marked 1 week without spotting. Really hoping that is gone for good!
My husband's cousin finally found a place to live, so I can soon satisfy the nesting urges I've been feeling! I can't wait!! He should be gone on Sunday!!!!
QOTW: My favorite crossed off items are canyoning in Austria (jumping off cliffs into the river and sliding down naturally formed water slides in the mountains) and swimming with sharks and giants rays in Moorea. I still want to swim with Great Whites off South Africa and see the Northern Lights. My husband keeps telling me we're going to take the baby with us to Iceland in March to see the Northern Lights and vacation there. I'm just not too sure how realistic that is...traveling with a 6-7 month-old.

Hello Ladies. Hope everyone is doing great. I am almost 27 weeks. The latest update with me is that I failed my one hour glucose test. Went for the three hour test which was not fun at all. I am hoping it will come back normal. I had to do both 1 hr and 3 hr test at 10 weeks too because they saw glucose in my urine and the 3 hr had come back normal. Not sure how this one will go though but I am keeping my fingers crossed
we recently bought our first home and that's one one item down from my bucket list. Another one is visiting my sister in Iceland and see the northern lights and go camping for 7 days around the loop. I guess we'll be doing that once the baby is a little older
