  • @benten24 he has not responded, so, I think he realized it was a poor choice. And a few friends liked my response. I just can't believe he thought that was ok.
  • @avanderl JFC! What is wrong with people? It is shocking to me the things people say online that they wouldn't dare say to your face.

Out of curiosity, how old is he? Not that being younger or older excuses it; just genuinely wondering if it's pure immaturity or immaturity mixed with some cynicism/bitterness that age brings...

  • My patients suck the life out of me sometimes.  3 times today I asked them before the dentist came in if they were having any issues with their teeth before we start a filling procedure. All 3 said no. Right after the dentist walks in and asks if they have any issues "yeah this one tooth here...it's causing pain" then I get the stink eye from the dentist for not taking an xray ....
  • So much sickness! After just starting to feel like I was recovering from my 3rd cold this pregnancy, DS2 brings home a stomach bug and infected the whole family. This weekend was a BLAST! Not.  Ugh.

  • @avanderl what...... Are you kidding me? What is wrong with people?! I can't even believe that. Good for you for keeping your cool. I would have flipped.
  • @mandyjulie he's middle aged, not married, no stable income other than selling weed.he has no room to talk on making good choices. Basically just very ignorant.
  • @avanderl what a jacksss! Great response! I would have gone ape sh*t on him.

  • The car next to me parked thisclose and my big belly couldn't make the squeeze. I had to climb in the other side and smashed my butt on the seatbelt clip thing. Gggrrrrr. If I weren't so fat I'd get back out and write a mean note.

  • Um no one told me that my boobs might start randomly leaking. :( Two huge spots on my shirt followed by a minor freak out and Google search I see that this is entirely normal. But still, I have so much time left!! Calm down boobs.
  • @avanderl are you kidding me??!? How rude! You handled that in a really great way, but I hope everyone else jumped on his ass and attacked him.
  • @avanderl You are a far better person than I am. I would have totally lost my cool. What a jackass!
  • Somebody at work asked me "when are you gonna start to look pregnant?"  Ummm what???  Please don't comment on my body.  Why do people think this is ok?
  • Walked into DD's room this morning to find she had puked pepperoni pizza over every square inch of her bed, pillow, pjs, favorite stuffed animal... Obviously we have her too well sleep trained. Heard her cry for like 5 seconds last night and assumed she bumped herself on the crib or something. What a wake up! At least most of it appears to be salvaged after doing the laundry. Quite an experience picking vomit chunks of her lamb's thick, cushy fur.
Ughhhhh gross. I feel bad for your daughter shaving to sleep in that. Ick.

Update on the rude facebook comment:
One of my friends stood up for me and then he deleted his comment and replaced it with "go you two!" Jerk
    Yay for your friend!
  • @avanderl I would totally find that dude and punch him right in the throat. What a douche.
  • @avanderl your original response to the jerk was Amazing and glad he finally got the message but sad that he felt the need to write such an unnecessary post in the first place

July16 May siggy challenge "May the Force be with you"

  • PhoebeJune1984 I'm a FTM so I am just going to go with it and see how it goes. But I was thinking the same thing about what if I had to go back to work sooner than the six weeks or what if she is not hungry enough to eat and my breast a ready to explode? I then I have to go through extra steps to get the pump instead of getting it before hand or when she is born.
But I'm trying to not to over think things since I have no clue what is going to happen.

@PugsandKisses I just had a sinus infection for a week, got over that and then me and the WHOLE Fam came down with the flu three days later.  Not fun :(  I feel ya lady.

Im feeling pretty upset because I told my OB about the flu and our fevers and he said I should have gone to the hospital when I had mine.  Now Im kind of freaking out that I might have damaged my baby by not going. :(

Don't freak out, fevers carry a slight risk of harming baby in the very first few weeks of pregnancy--- like 4-6 weeks when the neural tube is being developed. You're way past that--- don't worry... Baby is fine.
  • @PinkLady2015   Thanks for the reassurance.  It's frustrating when they leave you with unsettling words without explaining further. I did some research afterwards too and it seems like the risk is more in the early stages of pregnancy like you said.  So thanks, I feel better knowing that now. :)

I second not worrying about it. They would have treated you with tamiflu but nothing else would have changed. The worry is not the fever/flu itself but trying to help make it less severe/try to prevent pneumonia after, and it sounds like you're doing OK so don't stress.
