Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm really exhausted all the time, but can't seem to sleep well at night. I also am having aversions to hot foods... if I can get myself to cook something I can usually eat it but the thought of it beforehand makes me nauseous.
GTKY: Stolen from previous threads - Do you have a nickname for your baby? Mostly just baby. Boring I know.
Thanks for replying @kmolleltz ! I'll reply now too since I'm not just talking to myself
How many weeks are you? 8 weeks!
How big is baby? Denise's pygmy sea horse (or jelly bean or raspberry)
Rants/Raves/Questions? Feeling pretty good so not much to rant about. I finally got my appointment letters in the mail this weekend (I couldn't make any so had to reschedule them all), but I now know that we'll do our paying ourselves ultrasound on March 24th, then I'll finally meet the midwives April 25th, get my 12-week hospital scan at 16 weeks (we picked the worst time to be away relative to pregnancy appointments) and have my 20-week scan on May 26th! I am a total planner and LOVE that I actually have appointment dates in my calendar now.
I'm also really happy to be 8 weeks because since I found out really early (3+5) I'm now more than half-way from finding out to twelve weeks. I'm so glad to be into the second half of the first tri.
GTKY: We've been calling it Phoenix since we started TTC. The first month I had a terrible fever that lasted for two weeks for no reason (presumably a virus) so we joked that if I did get pregnant the baby would have been cooked... like a Phoenix rising from the ashes... we're dorks. Anyway, every month after we'd ask if Phoenix was in there so that's the embryo's name.
How big is baby? A raspberry, according to the ticker.
Rants/Raves/Questions?Raves only this week, for a change: Smoothies! Now I can get at least something nutritious in my system. Also maternity jeans: worth it! (Just got a pair from Target yesterday because I couldn't take it anymore. They're not the color/style I usually go for, but desperate times call for desperate measures.) And knock on wood, I don't feel like death warmed over today. I don't feel spectacular, but compared to the last few weeks I will take it.
GTKY: Do you have a nickname for your baby?Mmm, not really. Usually some variation of whatever fruit the ticker is showing that week. For instance, Li'l Razzy. Or the more general, The Wee Bab, but those are mostly just used in my head.
How big is baby? A "wee raspberry" (according to Ovia)
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant- I still don't feel pregnant, which suuuuucks. I would trade my mildly sore boobs for someone's raging morning sickness, any day. Rave- My first u/s is tomorrow! I'm excited, but nervous. The whole not feeling pregnant thing makes me feel like something is not right. I guess we'll see!
GTKY: Stolen from previous threads - Do you have a nickname for your baby? I've called my husband Bear for as long as I can remember, so we call it "Bear Cub" or "Baby Bear."
**lurking from Tuesday Ticker changes** @copperboom86 I too did not/still don't feel pregnant. My symptoms are very mild, but we went in at 7 weeks and there it was heartbeat and all! My OB said not to worry sometimes you have very mild symptoms and should consider yourself lucky!

**Lurking from Sunday Ticker Change** I'm 7+1 and have had very mild symptoms. I'm tired but not exhausted, I've had some queasiness but never nausea, my boobs are tender but aren't sore, etc. I had a scan at 6+2 and everything looked perfect with a strong heartbeat. I know we could still get hit by a ton of bricks but for now, we're the lucky ones.

Not to be a Debbie downer you symptom-less peeps but when I made it to week 8 with mild symptoms I thought I was in the clear! The last week and a half have proved otherwise. @CopperBoom86 you can have my nausea AND super sore boobs
ETA: Do I need to add that I am "Lurking from Wednesday ticker change?"
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm tired and bitchy and done with the headaches. I gagged and dry heaved today after DS took a dump in his little potty. I made DH clean it out. Why can't that kid just use the big potty already? Yeesh.
GTKY: Stolen from previous threads - Do you have a nickname for your baby? Not yet!
@lilylover27 & @MRSCORKER : It's so great to know that I'm not alone. I had been doing okay with not letting my lack of symptoms bother me, but with my u/s coming up, I started to get nervous about it over the weekend. Also, (I posted this in a symptoms thread, so sorry for the repeat) I had a dream on Saturday that I was at the doctor for my u/s and she couldn't find a heartbeat. It was very vivid and I woke up crying, so that's had me even more on edge. I know it's just my subconscious reflecting my fears and that it has no bearing on reality, but it was still really upsetting!
Anyway- Thank you for your reassuring words. If I go in tomorrow and everything is just as it should be, I will officially consider myself a "lucky one!"
ETA: @smmatt08 - I'll take 'em!! I would honestly welcome new symptoms at week 8! Now, I might change my tune by w8,d2
How big is baby? According to Bump, a green olive but a green grape sounds nicer
Rants/Raves/Questions? The nausea is getting more frequent which sucks, but I just remind myself it's all for the baby. I read today is the start of the 3rd month which totally excited me, almost at 2nd tri which hopefully means symptoms calm down *fingers crossed*. Excited for my second ultrasound next week though
GTKY: Stolen from previous threads - Do you have a nickname for your baby? Peanut our first ultrasound looks so much like a bean or a peanut the name just stuck, but DH does switch up to the name of the food it matches with.
Rants/Raves/Questions? just ready for the queasiness to go away. It's not bad, so I can't complain about it on here (after seeing what some others are going through)... but it's still no fun.
GTKY: Stolen from previous threads - Do you have a nickname for your baby? not really... we joke that I have a duck in there sometimes because the first ultrasound looked like it :-)
Rants/Raves/Questions? not really... happy I am not as sick this time as I was with my 1st. I feel like I am having more round ligament pains than normal...
GTKY: Stolen from previous threads - Do you have a nickname for your baby? just baby right now
Rants/Raves/Questions? Found out today we are having twins!! I'm in complete shock. I wasn't prepared for this!
GTKY: Stolen from previous threads - Do you have a nickname for your baby? well before today we called it "the baby" now we have to come up with something else to call them.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Nausea isn't too bad and I'm thankful for that. I'm hungry ALL THE TIME and trying so hard to choose healthy options. My hubs and I are moving in 3 weeks and packing has been going so slow. I'm grateful for my husband picking up my packing and cleaning slack!
GTKY: Stolen from previous threads - Do you have a nickname for your baby? Baby Blob! We had an u/s at ~8 weeks and baby just looked like a little blob. But we saw its little heartbeat and it was wiggling all around!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm feeling less like crap the last few days but this last week was pretty terrible. I vomited 3/5 work days. I'm thirsty almost all the time and water makes me nausea if it's more than just a sip so I'm drinking Powerade.
