If you have bleeding or crampig or history of MC it could be earlier

One at 11-13 weeks is offered to everyone for generic testing. Its called a first screen. If your over 35 you are AMA and can have a little more detailed testing called panorama. This is elective. You should ask for it if your interested and they didn't mention it. 

The there is an anatomy scam when most people find out gender. 18-22 weeks 

Then everything else is depending on your age, any issues found, your high risk factors etc.

In Manitoba, typically if the pregnancy is low-risk, we get only one ultrasound at around 20 weeks. They won't tell you the baby's gender but your Dr can request that info, but the us techs won't tell you. Different everywhere I guess.

I beg to differ that everyone gets an ultrasound at 11-13 weeks. I live in Alaska and they only do two. The first is at 9-10 weeks and the second is at 20-22 weeks. There are no ultrasound machines/technicians at the clinics in the rural villages. Moms have to travel in by plane to a hub to get more than the most basic prenatal checkups...including ultrasound. It sounds like Canada has a very different system as well. I have no idea about the UK or elsewhere. 

Yes, I guess I'm being snarky. I apologize in advance of being called on it. Also, I don't understand why you needed to make a new thread for this post. Why not just post it under the "When are your ultrasound appointments?" thread?

Obviously there are exceptions, but this information is true to my area, and will be for the majority of the U.S.

I disagree. I've seen many people getting more or less depending on their doctor. Mine also does one at 35 weeks to check the position of baby. It may be this way where you work but obviously not everywhere.

I had a previous Dr with my first and I had 4 ultrasounds. One at 9 weeks for dating. One at 19 weeks for the anatomy scan and had to come back at 23 to finish as he was being stubborn. Then I had one at 37 weeks to check size. This pregnancy I will only be getting one at around 20 weeks. Mostly because that's all my insurance covers unless there is a need for an additional one.

My midwife has me scheduled for one at 10 weeks but I have a friend who had one at 7 weeks.

I know we've said this before in other posts but everyone's pregnancy is different.

My first pregnancy went like this: US at my first appointment to confirm pregnancy, 13 weeks for NT testing, 20 weeks anatomy scan. I was high risk so I had to have one every 4 weeks until 36 weeks and then once a week for NST testing. 

My best friend: 13 weeks for NT testing, 20 weeks for anatomy scan. That was it.

This pregnancy, I have one scheduled at 12 weeks for dating because my 8 week appointment was a little uncertain. I'll probably have one a week later for NT testing and then 20 weeks. Assuming I'm not high risk this round, I'll probably go until 36 weeks before my next US.
