Great news on SO leave!

So my wife talked to her boss today and finalized her leave.  She's a dean at a charter high school, so normally would have a much shorter break than teachers.  But here's what her leave will look like (starting May 23, or later if this baby keeps baking):

2 weeks secondary caregiver leave (paid), 3 weeks sabbatical leave (paid), 3 weeks administrative vacation (paid).  She'll be off until the second half of July, and we'll have the bulk of the summer together as a family!

HURRAY for organizations with family-friendly leave policies!

  • That's great news :) My husband is a teacher/football coach, and he'll be (mostly) off all summer. He has to go to football weight lifting for a couple of hours 4 days a week. I'm looking forward to having the time off together.
