My little guy has had a cough since Monday and was diagnosed with bronchiolitis from RSV today. Has anyone used Vicks baby rub on their LO? Do you feel like it worked? Where exactly did you apply (bottom of feet, chest, back, etc)?
We used it on LO's bottom of feet and chest (where he couldn't reach it). I'm not totally sure if it worked or not but it let me feel like I was doing something to help him at least.
Nasal drops and the nose frida were used constantly. He hated it every single time and screamed like I was sucking his brains out.
I used it on his chest, but I think he hated the smell. Either that or he was still fussy from coughing so it didn't work. When my LO got RSV and bronchiolitis we did saline in the nebulizer, took him in the bathroom with the shower running for steam, lots of tummy time to drain fluid, and saline drops in the nose followed by using the snotsucker.
I used it on my son's feet and chest when he was really congested. He seemed to do better when we were using it than when we weren't, so I think it helped at least minimally.
