Hi - I am 38 and will be undergoing IVF soon -I have received my AMH result which is 1.3 - Anyone that has gone thru IVF have a similar AMH? I'm trying to gauge how good the result is in regards to how I will respond to medications and follicle growth as I believe these are linked. Thanks

I'm beginning my stimulation meds tomorrow. I'm 28 with an AMH of 0.5  I went in today on CD2 with 6 follicles on one ovary and 4 on the other. We will see what these meds will do for me! There is a "Low AMH" post. You should scroll through that discussion to see if anyone could relate. GL!

@capps42613 - On my scan I had 7 follicles so looks like we are similar on the AFC - Will be starting on my meds next week once AF arrives - Fingers crossed for us that the meds work - They have me on DHEA injections also which appear to have good results in increasing follicle growth.

Tw- bfp mentioned. 

Dw had amh of 0.8. We ended up with 11 eggs and 3 made it to day 5. We transferred one and I'm 6 Weeks pregnant now!

You too - I will have 4 injections - 3 to begin with Follistim, low dose HCG ,DHEA and Ganirelix !!  Eeeekk! They are throwing everything at me!

I find it hard to understand the AMH against the AFC - I have a higher AMH than you have however you have a higher AFC than me - Some clinics focus on the AMH and some focus o the AFC. Your egg  quality will be much better than mine tho as you are much younger

@twomommiestobe - if you don't mind me asking how old are you? I'm just concerned re my quality along with my AMH because of my age as it doesn't test quality!

We used my wife's eggs. She is 28. But she had an endometrioma cyst on one ovary, so we think it affected the quality and it is why only 3 survived.

I have a similar amh as you but I am 29. The doctor put me on coq10 and dhea for a couple months before ivf. I had 4 follicles but they only retrieved 2 eggs. They ended up implanting them both and it worked!
