Maternity swimsuits for big chest

Just wondering if anyone has had luck buying a maternity swimsuit with ample room in the chest. I am about an H cup and have trouble with swimsuits even when not pregnant. I'm going to the beach next month, and I'm planning on spending some quality pool time in the third trimester! I don't think I can fit into any of my old suits. I'm not showing very much yet but would like to get at least one so I can wear throughout my pregnancy- any suggestions for sites or stores to try? Most of the ones I'm seeing online would not even cover half my chest, it seems! Thanks!

  • I'll have to look at home to see what brands my swimsuit are, but I know I did have luck with a Spanx brand suit.  I am about a DD normally, no idea what I am while breastfeeding, but they worked through my pregnancy and after.

  • I also struggle with this, I am normally a 36 G or H depending on the cut so now...I'm curious if anyone has ideas for maternity. My back up plan is just to wear my bikini and let the belly enjoy a little sun.

  • I have a few of my pre-preg bikinis that are super stretchy in the tops and I'm wearing those, hoping to get through with them. I have a weird shape and haven't ever had good luck with one piece suits so I refuse to get a maternity one piece. If I grow out of my current tops, I'm going to try to head over to Walmart/Kohls/Target/Marshalls and find a good enough top that will coordinate enough with one of my bottoms. Letting belly hang out and enjoying my super low rise bottoms under it. :)

  • I ordered three online because I swim laps once a week.  I don't love the one I chose, it just had more fabric than the other two.  I probably wouldn't recommend it.  My sis has worn two sports bras as a bikini top and at first I thought it was weird but it actually looked cute when I saw it!

I love to use www.HerRoom.com for bras and swimsuits. I am a 34G and have been able to find cute bras and bikinis in my size (pre-pregnancy). They have a lot of options and shipping is fast. Not the cheapest place around, but if you're an H cup you're probably used to paying a bit more! Good luck :)

ETA: the brand I had luck with for my swimsuit was Freya.

  • Swimsuitsforall.com has tops in bigger sizes. I'm not sure if they have true maternity but they seem to have a lot of styles that would work well.
  • I use a company called Bravissimo. It's a UK company but they ship all over the world.  Get bras and swimming attire from them.  They go to a J cup I think.  Start at 28 to something in the 40's.  They also have a sister site for clothes called Pepperberry which is "clothes designed with your boobs in mind".  Love them both, although I tend to shop in the sale items as they are not cheap.  They do either full suits, tankinis or bikinis.

  • Panache sells large cup size swimwear but I don't know if they do maternity. If you are comfortable in a 2 piece that's probably your best bet.
