I get annoyed by people who say they will move to Canada depending on who gets elected president. I heard the search term "how to move to Canada" spiked after Super Tuesday. How about you register to vote, stay informed on issues and make sure you vote and encourage those around you to vote? So many people complain but aren't even registered to vote. 

And i have to add this meme cuz it's funny....

There are too many school events now a days.  Every week there is some sort of something that parents are "encouraged to attend".  Sometimes multiple somethings and each something cost money or "accepting donations". If that's not the case then the school is selling candy grahams or friend ballons or popcorn for movie day or tickets at the school store........Then there's school parties and birthday parties and pj days.

It's too much.... 

A lot.

I'm sure this was discussed when the documentary first came out (I was not yet on TB), but I heard a radio station this morning talking about his lawyer's going on a 26 city tour soon. Which made me start thinking about it again. 

I think Steven Avery is guilty. I agree he didn't get a fair trial, but I still think he's guilty. Just sayin'.

Since we started out with the political thing I'll keep it going.

I don't like Bernie Sanders. I'm kind of shocked that he didn't take super Tuesday considering the amount of people I know who do nothing but talk about him (though I guess talking and actually voting are two different things). Don't worry. I don't like Clinton or Trump either.

I saw this post (copied word for word) on my newsfeed last night. The ignorance is strong with this one. 

"Ok let's make this shit clear the day Texas votes dem. I will register to vote and pay attention to politics until then don't ask me anything about politics cuz idk and idc the way shit is going now... Not cool... But idc cuz I do what I want regardless I bet whoever the big dogs want in the white house is who ends up there!!!"

@winnie81 That quote from your FB was seriously hard to read. Maybe I'm just old fashioned this way but I think if someone is going to express a strong opinion on politics they should at least make an attempt to have proper spelling and grammar. I mean I know a lot of the stuff I post is guilty of murdering the English language but at least I'm posting something less serious. If someone has some misspelled words or poor grammar while they're talking about gifs it bothers me far less than if someone has misspelled words and poor grammar while they're expecting you to take them seriously.

Also, I'm probably being a bit of a hypocrite here. My brain can't even this morning so I make no claims about my own grammar.

Oh I completely agree. I am guilty of this on here at times though. I had a difficult time understanding his original post on FB, but I wanted to mention that it was probably the best that I have ever seen him write. Most of his posts are drunk posts at 3am. This is my husbands friend from high school that we haven't seen in years, but i have a feeling he hasn't changed much since then. The only thing i've seen him speak passionately about is legalizing weed.

I just saw that last night and died laughing! I still have hope in the American people that they will not let him win!

Also I second your UO - move then! These are probably the same people who are not for government run health care so that should be a nice surprise for them once they get there

It generally tends to steer toward really strong opinions whether unpopular or popular though. As @NamelessAria said.

Turning away from politics for a minute..... I think I'm the only person I know who thought the last season of House of Cards was awesome and can't wait for the new season.

Also I am enjoying this season of Girls.

I also liked the last season more than most other people I know, I'm pretty pumped about how Claire left him at the end I was like ohhhh shiiiiiz. It's about to go down. I can't wait for the new season tomorrow! I am actually going out of town for a bachelorette party so I made DH swear he won't watch it til I'm back Sunday night.

I hate Starbucks for the most part. They make a really nice dessert drink but in my opinion they make an awful coffee. Their black coffee tastes burnt.  I'd rather drink dd or McDonald's coffee anyday of the week. Ideally I prefer mom & pop cafes. But those aren't always convenient. 
(That said; I DO love a good psl or white chocolate mocha. But let's be honest, neither of those are really coffee.)

This gives me another UO.

I hate coffee. Even the smell of it. And anything remotely coffee flavored.

My vice has always been sodas.

ETA: I hate pumpkin flavored things too.

@Megzb510 and @Schumerator I am guilty of thinking/talking about moving to Canada - or New Zealand or Australia (probably not because so many deadly creatures) or any other English-speaking country. And I love voting. I vote in every election, including all primaries, off-years and all local elections, and I try to stay as informed as possible and feel very invested in the whole process. For me, it is incredibly disheartening to see someone spouting blatant racism and hatred and being praised by so many people. And that we live in a society where that man could actually become elected president. It sometimes makes me want to give up and see if I can find a place where the political system and majority views better align with my own morals. I will absolutely vote and encourage everyone to vote, and I remain generally hopeful, but I will be devastated if Trump actually wins the general election. It's bad enough that he is this close to winning the republican nomination. Oh and I am hugely in favor of universal healthcare.

Ditto to @sarah0985 and @jenmlangtake2 I can't stand regular coffee, and Starbucks is not my first choice when I do have a dessert coffee (white chocolate mochas are my go to every morning).  Love the smell of regular coffee but hate the taste.  I like my coffee the same way I like my alcohol.  I want the effects of it but I don't want to taste it!

Also...I can't stand wine.   Or beer.

I love both of them so. much. I'm going to Washington, D.C. for vacation in a few weeks. I'm bummed the BBQ place isn't a real restaurant.

And I love me some Girls! I know most people can't stand Lena Dunham, but I just adore her. Have you listened to her podcast or subscribe to her feminist newsletter?

People go to starbucks and purchase regular black coffee??? Weird.

Aww, this UO makes me so sad! It's my favorite book. Most people I know who don't like it associate it with required high school reading, so it was like it was forced on them.

To me, TKAM is the epitome of showing kindness to other people, whether they deserve it or not, having integrity, fighting for what's right, good morals and values... just basically showing you how to be a decent human being.

DH and I actually quoted Atticus Finch in our wedding vows (unintentionally!) and if we are ever lucky enough to have a child and it's a boy, it'll be named Atticus.

As for "Go Set a Watchman," that's a different story: I haven't read it yet because I don't want it to taint my vision of Atticus Finch, even thought Harper Lee wrote it before TKAM and never thought it would be published.

I get annoyed when people say their love is unconditional (yeah I'm talking about you, Katy Perry!)  I don't think love is unconditional.  Or at least, it shouldn't be.  I'm not talking familial love, I'm talking romantic love.  I have conditions.  For example, you can't be a serial killer (sorry Jamie Dornan).  You can't be abusive.  You have to make an effort to get along with the important people in my life.  I love my husband, but let me tell you he can certainly do things that would make me stop loving him (he doesn't, but I'm just saying).  My love is conditional.

On a related note: A female relative of mine is sabotaging her relationship with her boyfriend because she doesn't think she should need to change for him.  He should love her for who she is.  I disagree.  I think she's being selfish.  I think compromise is vital in any relationship.  I think it requires humility to change for someone.  I'm not talking about changing your core values or anything, but if there is something about me that my husband truly doesn't like, then I am going to try to change that about myself.  I don't think it's wrong to want to do that.

I had to get that off my chest.

My UO: I think Disneyworld is overrated.

Granted, I live an hour away from it, so maybe I'm jaded. But half of the rides are almost as old as the park, and the prices keep getting higher and higher!

I'm sure I'll see it differently when I have kids, but for now, I am not a fan. Give me Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure over it any day.

I get annoyed by people saying they'll move to Canada b/c it's so presumptuous.  It's actually hard to move to Canada. They don't just let anyone come on over and settle in. And they probably aren't going to make an exception for you.

@gonetothesea it's my favorite book too. I won't read Go Set a Watchman, not only b/c I don't want it tainting TKAM or Atticus, but because Harper Lee didn't want it published. It makes me sad that they did it any way.

My UO is that I didn't really like Fuller House.

I guess my UO Thursday would be that I hate it when any family members at all expect to be present for the birth of a child. My friend is KU with #1 and everyone is so pushy and rude to her when she says she only wants her DH in the room. When did giving birth become a spectator sport? Her mom acts like it's a God-given right for her to watch her grandchildren be born and is doing everything she can to convince my friend to let her in the hospital room.

Yes, that's true too.  Harper Lee was totally taken advantage of, and that makes me so sad.

And I agree -- Fuller House was awful. Just as, or even more so, cheesy as the original. Which I thought I would find endearing, but I didn't.  A lot of eye rolling ensued.

@LoveIsOwlYouNeed  - Totally agree. Everyone said Fuller House got better after the first episode, so I continued watching, but was disappointed. They were trying too hard.

Ditto on Bernie Sanders. My grandfather was a Coloner and fought Germany in WW2, voting for a self proclaimed democratic socialist would be like spitting on his grave. And being Russian, my family experienced firsthand how these lofty socialist ideas really pan out. Ok off my soapbox I go.

My OU is that I was really disappointed in Fuller House, I was so excited. I hope season 2 is better because the first one was cringe worthy.

I AGREE!! Every time I get a sour apple thinking it's a lime, I'm just so disappointed I hate it when candy brands switch too....My MIL gave me some Skittles at Christmas and all the green ones are sour apple....I hope it was a phase and not a permanent change for Skittles, just saying..

My UO is that I hate Milk Chocolate, I'll eat it if it's mixed with Nuts or something, but to me a solid bar of Hershey's Milk Chocolate just smells like vomit.
