What apps do you use?

Besides The Bump, what other baby apps do you use and what for?
I use another one called Peekaboo Moments to upload pictures for those who want to see them since I spam Facebook too much and would rather not annoy too many of my friends lol.
Any other good baby apps out there?

Re: What apps do you use?

  • "Feed Baby" for recording feedings, diapers, height/weight, etc.  I downloaded it in the hospital since they had us recording everything to make sure LO's input/output was adequate.  I've kept up with it to help remind me when she last had a change or feed (sometimes the hours blur together and it's hard to remember how long she's been sitting in that diaper), and it's good for having a clear image of her 'baseline' so it's easy to spot growth spurts and illness.

"Wonder Weeks": I heard that the app basically has all the same info as the book, and the app is cheaper, and customizes a time line with dates for each leap for your kid.  You can keep track of multiple kids in the app, too, if you need.

  • I use Wonder Weeks and LO loves the Fisher Price animals app. When he was younger we used Baby Tracker.
  • I used an app called Kids Doodle the other day and it totally saved us from a major meltdown!  We went on a long walk as a family (I was wearing my LO) and we decided to stop and get something to eat.  I took LO out of the carrier and just sat him on my lap, he was fine for a little while but then he started to get fussy...that's when I realized I had forgotten his pacifier at home!!!!!  He is usually so happy in the carrier I hadn't even thought of it when we left the house...whoops!  So I grabbed my phone and opened the Kids Doodle app and let him "paint" with his fingers...he was loving the fact that when he touched the screen colors/lines popped up...he was entertained until the food came and then he was just happy to watch up eat!
  • I like Wonder Weeks and Baby Sparks, which has developmental games to play with your baby based on his or her age
  • The Wonder Weeks & Baby Tracker (the paid version).
Baby tracker graphs really helped us identify trends and patterns in feeding and sleep!  Plus the weight tracker automatically tells you LOs percentile which is nice!
  • I used to use Baby Nursing to track nursing and diapers, not so much anymore since he eats less often. I also use Tadpole to get updates and photos from his daycare.
  • I like First Smile. It's a photo sharing app that will categorize your baby photos by the date they were taken.  I like it because DH and I can both upload our baby photos and it will put them in date order.  You can also invite family members.  My mom loves to go in and see the latest pics of Her grand baby.  I also use the Wonder Weeks app.

Not a baby app persay, but I like the Clue cycle-tracker app.  I use it to track my cycle.  It helped me get pregnant, and I'm hoping it will help keep me from getting pregnant for another couple of years!  I like that it warns me when AF is coming, I never remember.
  • I use Tiny Beans to categorize all his photos and track milestones. It's free and I invite people (grandparents, aunts/uncles) to be able to view everything. I also use Eat Sleep to track my pumping output. In the beginning I was using it to track his eating, diapers, etc.
