What's for lunch?!

because I'm food obsessed but don't know what I want for lunch, I thought I'd see what everyone else is planning on. Maybe this will spark something that sounds good for me!

  • Oh and I'm currently eating carrots with ranch dip that was made with Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Pretty good but I need mooooore!

  • Mine is pretty boring since I'm trying to get better about added protein (my birth class instructor told us we all need 100g of protein a day, that's A LOT of protein). Im having a Greek yogurt, some trail mix, and an apple. I might throw some sweet potato fries in the oven as well.

    I'm with you on spicy stuff! I put jalepenos on everything and then pray my Pepcid works to keep away the heartburn!

  • I have a healthy choice meal- butternut squash raviolis. Running to the kitchen now to heat it up before the lunchtime mad rush starts!

    I was still working during my first pregnancy and I distinctly remember a day where I got stuck on a phone call at the time I would normally go heat up lunch. By the time I got there, there were five or six people waiting on the microwave and chatting it up so I left and went to chickfila!  I just couldn't wait.

  • I might head out to Dizengoff to get either the fava bean or spicy radish hummus. I haven't been enamored of their toppings lately so it's been over a month since I've stopped by there.

    Failing that, it'll probably be veggie pizza from the place I like around the corner.

    That's what we had for dinner last night but it appears DH took all the leftovers. I would have eaten that!

    It's so good! And full of good things for baby too.

    But yeah I wish I could say I loved the toppings they've been putting out lately. I'm just not that into fennel or celery root. Oh well.
  • Chicken reuben with mixed greens from Westville, it can't get here fast enough.  
  • I started eating some flaxseed and cranberry oatmeal...then had a kid come down for an "emergency" because his tooth is loose and he was freaked out about it. Once the door was open, the dam was broken and I have had a steady stream of visits since. So, I had 4 bites of oatmeal.

    Today I brought in the leftover filling and warmed it up and then mixed it with cold shredded spinach leaves. The leaves kind of wilted a bit (in a good way) and overall, it was really yummy and satisfying!

  • Tomato Mozzarella panini. Haven't gotten it yet, but I'm getting anxious. :tongue: 
  • I decided on a Jamaican chicken wrap from this place near buy. It had mango salsa and cilantro garlic sauce  ;) they have the cutest little kid meals also so DD was more than happy. Win, win.

  • Late to the party, but I had a salad (lettuce with ginger dressing, quinoa, and edamame) along with Greek yogurt and an orange.
  • Leftover spaghetti and a yogurt for me.
  • chicken quesadilla and guacamole.

    I love how good everyone is being... I had pizza for lunch! so good!


    Edit- Because I forgot to mention the piece of red velvet cake I got after the pizza. saving it for my after dinner dessert!

  • Just finished my turkey guacamole sandwich and summer kale salad from Schlotzskys... it was yummy :)
  • lean cuisine and then 2 bowls of special k cinnamon pecan. and maybe a hot pocket in a little bit. haha
  • I got the radish hummus but I wish I hadn't, because the pickled radishes were not good and then I threw them in my office trash and now they smell like death farts in there, and I just want to tell everybody who comes into my office "IT'S NOT ME IT'S THE RADISHES, THAT IS THE DEATH FART SMELL, I SWEAR" but you can't say that and probably nobody would believe me anyway.

    I even tied up the plastic bag in the trash hoping that would choke out the smell, but it's not working.
  • Dairy Queen 5 buck lunch, chicken strips, fries, and a strawberry sundae.... So yummy
  • I didn't have time to bake chicken, so I used the Applegate Organic deli chicken toasted on bread with cheese and tomatoes. Side salad with goat cheese and balsamic. And a hand-full of tostitos while everything was heating. Oh, and a few bites of left over mac & cheese. I'm surprised I didn't put cheese on the tostitos. I think I have a problem lately where everything I eat has cheese with it.

    Actually, lately? Who am I kidding. That was pre-pregnancy as well.

    Cheese has protein, right?? I've had a meat aversion this whole pregnancy and I'm totally using that as a way to justify all the cheese I eat. Yum! 
  • I'm late but I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich. I'm also having that for lunch today along with carrot, celery, and cucumber with fat free ranch.

    Today I brought left over tacos from Taco Bell, greek yogurt, a banana.. and a doctor at work brought me two amazing looking brownies with icing.
