2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.) WTO here.

3. Rants/raves:
I'm finding that the start of each new cycle is really hard for me. I feel like I get to such a good place during the month, but once it's all over I go through my grief, guilt, anger all over again. I also got an email from my pregnancy tracker that I was entering the third tri. That didn't help...

****Child-Mentioned*****
A question for you guys. So, my husband was diagnosed with lead poisoning right after we conceived DS. We had just remodeled a house and had to move out for the majority of my pregnancy while we did the de-leading. DS was born just before 35 weeks with a too small placenta and necrotic umbilical cord, he got out just in time. Now with the miscarriage, I'm wondering if it's worth getting him checked out to see if there was long term damage? I asked my OB about it and he brushed me off saying it wasn't a big deal. What say you wise women?

4. GTKY: What is a favorite hobby or pass time?
So many! I love photography and taking photos of my people. I also just enjoy being outside, so whether it's dog walking, hiking, playing tennis. I'm happiest outside in the side and fresh air.

Rants/Raves: I feel good about this cycle. Last month we had FF-"good" timing but it still didn't work. So we went back to our intense HIO schedule we had for my last THB. -3 & doubles for -2, -1, and O. I have bulk Wondfos so I plan to start testing this weekend.

Hobby/Pastime: Hard to pick just one. I love going dancing, to paint & sip classes, to movie theaters, hiking, strolling indoor tropical exhibits, and watching TED Talks. Yesterday I repotted all my house plants which were long overdue and it was rather cathartic.

2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.): BENCHED forever and ever while this spotting continues. I also want to get my fibroids checked before TTC again, but if my period never comes because this spotting never ends, I have the rest of my life to do so.

3. Rants/raves: Feeling pretty calm. I had a really good time planting the seeds for our garden yesterday but then I felt really guilty for having a good time.

Rave: Did a henna in my hair for the first time in about a year and it's nice and shiny and bright. Now if only I could choose a new hairstyle.

4. GTKY: What is a favorite hobby or pass time?: Visiting farmer's markets, photographing food, flora and my husband, and developing new, (better, more creative, less focused on the same boring ingredients) vegan recipes. Reading and philosophizing with DH. Listening to music/DH talk about music (He knows more than any of you can imagine). Hanging out with my lovely cats. Saving my friend's lives. Halfheartedly working on my blog.

@BornReady I don't know much medically about lead poisoning, but I do think it's worth investigating further. Sometimes even a good doctor will brush you off about that something that might be a problem - and why spend the energy continuing to worry about something that probably isn't even an issue? I'm the worst about doctors, but this miscarriage forced me to seek answers about things I'd always wondered about and that's meant, in the end, a lot of relief on my end.

Edit: i'm a dummy

• @Chloe77 My husband did a bunch of the demo, so he was the only one that was poisoned. Myself and DS had a lead level of 2 (all babies are checked at 1 Y/O), which is in the normal range of people living/having grown up in old houses. My husband's was super high, the state called us up when his lead levels came in @ about 8 PM and told us to leave our house immediately when it happened. We literally packed up our things and couldn't go back for awhile until it was all remediated. His blood levels have dropped down to near normal, but I am wondering the long term effects.
• @BornReady Dr. Google churned up a study of Mexican men and effects of lead on semen quality. But it is regarding chronic lead exposure. I would assume years, possibly still being exposed, and not a month or two remodeling. This might be something better brought up with your H's primary physician vs. an OB. His doc may be more inclined to look into it.
• Leap day just means one extra day to make a baby right?! Is that how this works? ;)

2. Status: this is my fertile week! Every other day is typically a good plan, right? That's what we're planning on doing.

3. Rant: I have my first cold in forever and everything hurts. Terrible timing with baby-making week because it makes everything super unromantic but I figure romanticism has no effect on conception. Haha!

4. Hobbies: crochet, photography, writing, Netflixing, hanging out with people!

• 2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.): CD 19. I should be WTO, which O day should be later this week; however, my temperatures were pretty high this weekend and this morning. (Sat and Sun above coverline where my temps fall after O, and this morning right about on my coverline). Even FF isn't sure what is happening with dotted crosshairs and open circles rampant. My best guess is that since I've been sleeping for crap since Friday that's causing mayhem with my chart. Hoping that once I get an actual good nights sleep it will regulate itself out. But I leave for Florida on vacation tomorrow, so I plan to just keep temping and see what comes...

3. Rants/raves:  See above, lol.

4. GTKY: What is a favorite hobby or pass time? Oh my, I have too many. I get involved in everything. I enjoy roller skating, reading, gardening, sewing, scrapbooking, coloring, and lately bowling with DH.

Hey Ladies! Just a heads up I changed my username from babyroper16 to this new one. When I first joined the bump I didn't realize how HUGE the support community is and I'll probably use this for the rest of my life lol. This new username will be so much more practical for lifetime use.

@BornReady I would definitely push to have him looked at again. I have a hard time with the start of each new cycle as well, sometimes I'm hard on myself for it, other times it brings on the grief.

@GhanimaAtreides FX for BFP this weekend!

@chloe97 Yay for ovulating! I'm so glad you found a therapist you like. Having a therapist you can trust and be honest with makes so much difference in your growth and change. This week sounds like it'll be great. I hope you're RE appointment goes well and you get answers or feel better.

@reneeannemm I love watching my garden grow and eating the fruits of my labour. Unfortunately I live in northeastern Ontario, so my outdoor growing season doesn't start until early June. Jealous you get to start now! I won't start for another 4-6 or so weeks.

@beff12 that is exactly how this girl thinks too! One extra baby making day! Every other day is a good plan. Sorry that you're sick though! It's funny the things we do when TTC. DH was sick once and it was my FW, needless to say I didn't allow him the rest he probably should've had, haha!

@dpjennifer If I had to guess I would probably say it's the sleep stuff causing wonky temps. Enjoy your vacation! Warm weather sounds fantastic right now. It's currently blizzarding where I am!

Status: WTO.

Rant: Currently staying home from work because AF is being really mean I can't get out of bed without debilitating cramps, boooo!
Rave: One extra day this year means one extra chance at baby making! Wooohoo!

Hobbies: Crochet and knit (although I can only knit non-circular objects). Reading, gardening, Netflix bingeing and cooking. Also eating if I'm being honest, eating can be a hobby right? Lol!

• 2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.): CD8, WTO but still benched. This was my first AF post D&C, nothing crazy but longer than normal and lots of random spotting. I am glad I did have an AF on my own, usually I don't unless induced or the Clomid makes me O. Hopefully next cycle I will be back in the game! FX

3. Rants/raves: DH went away for a guys night Saturday (just one night), and so I had most of Saturday and Sunday alone and it was actually amazing. I met a friend for dinner Saturday, but she just had a baby so we had dinner early....it was just so nice to have some time to myself. Usually weekends get busy but I had time to decompress.

4. GTKY: What is a favorite hobby or pass time? I don't really have a hobby... I like to cook/bake, swim, read, crafting when there is something good to craft, traveling...the list could go on :)
• Currently hanging here until I can start actively ttc again. I'm taking OPKs, even though I'm benched because I feel so out of control with my body and I want to know when to expect my period again.

My ob office that handled my miscarriages (I've since switched) isn't giving me results from my genetic testing from POC from the d&c.

I'm taking thyroid medicine now. So hopefully no more losses for me.
• @BornReady I would have it checked out for peace of mind. My "gut feeling" would be that with such a limited exposure, I doubt there would be any long term damage, and since sperm refresh themselves around every 60-90 days, if there were any damaged, they're likely to no longer be a problem. But his Dr. would of course be able to make a better assessment than a stranger on the internet.

@GhanimaAtreides Good luck!

@chloe97 YAY for ovulation!

@beff12 The cold that has been going around this year is killer! FX for your quick recovery!

@dpjennifer Oooh, Florida should be so nice and warm! Enjoy that vacation!

@roper2617 Ouch! I'm sorry for the extra horrible AF!

@Aera11 That sounds awesome. My DH is a member of a band, and I cherish the every-so-often night to myself. I always eat something that he doesn't care for, watch girly TV on netflix, and sleep diagonally in the bed. I do miss him a little bit of course, haha!

@ThePax89 How are they not giving you your test results? I think that may be a HIPAA violation - something at least to look into. And of course, FX for a sticky one next go around.

2. Status: TWW - Impending CD1 most likely tomorrow - Stupid uterus.

3. Rants: If this is the new normal for my PMS, then my hormones can stick it where the sun don't shine. Ugh!

Raves: DH surprise party went off without a hitch! It was great to get to let him be the special one for our birthday(s) this year. He's been so, so wonderful through this whole process, taking care of my every need, so he really deserved some fun.

4. Hobbies: Hmmm....I don't have as much time for my hobbies while I still have classes, but I'm looking forward to more time this summer. I enjoy interior design, refinishing antique furniture, DIY crafts - crochet, knit, sew, baking, and reading. I'm looking forward to starting to run again in the mornings when it warms up - if I run in the cold, I get these KILLER ear aches that last the rest of the day - no thank you!

• 2. WTO - CD13. This is my usual O day so we will see what my temp is tomorrow.

3. I started another Whole30 yesterday because my January one failed miserably and I could drop a few pounds. I am doing well so far but I want all the sugar!! I didn't realize my sugar dragon had gotten so bad.

4. GTKY: What is a favorite hobby or pass time? I guess I don't really have one. Maybe going to my classes at the gym. I have been getting into that lately and I am bummed when I have to miss a class. Other than that maybe Neflix, I just finished SOA.

• @bornready I'm with you every month its like I should be pregnant and not TTC all over again. For me I find the end of the TWW when I know I am out to be the hardest. Also maybe have your husband ask his doc about the lead thing.

@GhanimaAtreides That is some crazy timing. We are getting exhausted with ED during the FW I couldn't imagine multiple times a day. Also FWIW I think I remember reading that sex that often could hurt the sperm count/supply. Not sure how accurate that is.

@chloe97 Yay for O!

@reneeannemm I'm glad you had a good time with your garden. You don't need to feel guilty for being happy.

@beff12 Hope you feel better soon. Our sex lately has not been very romantic either, but like you said romanticism =/= conception.

@roper2617 I love your outlook on today!

@thepax89 Might I suggest temping? It is a much cheaper and more accurate way to know when to expect AF.

@aera11 Sounds like you had a nice weekend.

@cjs260 Sorry for impending CD1.

I can't temp unfortunately due to factors that cause me to not sleep for the amount of necessary time prior to temping. For now, OPKs and cm are my best bet. I use wondfos so it's not too big of a burden. Thanks for the advice though!!! I'd love to temp

Rant: I'm finding it incredibly difficult to concentrate on work and be productive. I used to love my job, but lately I just can't muster up the energy to care about my performance. It's really unlike me, and has me in a funk.

Rave: I'm going to Europe for a MUCH needed vacation in April!

Rant/Rave: I've been craving chocolate something fierce and seem to have little self control if it is in the house. Next time we grocery shop I need to not buy any - because I'm great about working out but am still not really loosing weight.

Rant/Rave #2: In the process of applying for a US passport to prove US citizenship and holy cow are the forms extensive. I completely get some of them - but why does it even matter if my parents were married? And since it does matter, why can't they just trust that the Canadian government did its due diligence when it allowed my parents to get married (mom was a widow - so I have to document that - but it is in Italian...).

Hobbies: Knitting - I'm obsessed to the point that I've started spinning my own yarn (which is always hilarious when I go to a new practitioner and they ask me my hobbies and I say "spinning" and they think exercise...). I also dabble in crochet. But I'm more of a knitter who spins and crochets.

WTO- cycle day 9.... But I started cramping and spotting today even though I just stopped bleeding on Friday. Negative opk's and sticky cm so it's definitely not ovulation spotting. I don't know why my body hates me so much.

@chloe97 yeah ovulation!

I'm sorry you're going through this @shae86. So glad you have a vacation to look forward to at least.

Intro/situation: had a MMC that was found 3 months ago, I was 8 weeks and baby was 5.

Rant/rave: I talked to my teacher today about being nervous about OB clinical and ended up bawling my eyes out immediately. She was really good about it though and I'm glad to have gotten it out of the way. Hopefully breaking down in her office will cut down on the chances of me bawling at clinical. Also asked her about her thoughts on progesterone since my sister had that issue and she encouraged me to have it looked at, so I think I'll go for it at 7 DPO. Hopefully will be able to get into my doc's office by calling once I confirm O. Sounds like they don't really believe in charting though so I'm a little worried they'll insist on me coming in on CD21 regardless. Or I wonder if that even really matters that much and I should just have it tested once I'm KU and deal with it then.

Hobbies: I do obedience and herding with my Border Collie and I've been pretty into photography the last few years. I just ordered a Tokina 11-16 mm and it should be getting here tonight! I'm super excited to use it on some CA landscapes.

@GhanimaAtreides FX that your good feeling results in a BFP!

@bornready Good luck with DS. I hope you don't have any troubles with lead poisoning.

@chloe97 Yay for O!

@boots&CO I'm sorry you are stressed. Congrats on not being benched now!

@fiancb I'm sorry you are having a rough time with your OB clinical. Hopefully you find some peace and make it through tear free!

@catiecalp Good luck with the whole passport / proof of citizenship process. That sounds mind numbingly exhausting.

• @shea86 Oooooh Italy!! We flew into Rome, spent 2 days and then island hopped in Greece. It was wonderful! I want to go back, but I have no vacation time. Sigh. I'm so jealous, you will love it!!
• Nice to see a few ladies off the bench and back in the game!

@BornReady reading your story of how you had to pack up and leave your house when you got the lead results....ugh, that must have been so stressful. I'm sorry that the stress of it lingers on and that your family is healthy and free from side affects!!

@dpjennifer Since you are going to Florida, I have to ask, since people here in my neck of the woods are blowing it way out of proportion I think...do you have any concerns about Zika virus? I am going in a few weeks. I see no reason to be worried, and have tried to eduate myself on the facts. Will be careful to wear repellent (is that even going too far?) I am caught between - should I be worried? Or - do I live so far away that people around here are just totally ignorant to the situation and are equating the regions that have dangerous rates of Zika to the southern US, where the threat is basically nil....?
Sorry all if this question seems silly...it's so hard to gauge what I should think about it from google news stories. I'm really not trying to be an alarmist, just trying to gather opinions.

@cjs260 I love that you said you sleep "diagonally" when DH is gone. I always tease my DH that it's way more comfy without him because sleeping diagonally is just the bomb. I can't wait to tell him I'm not the only one in the world who enjoys it and calls it sleeping diagonally.

Status: TWW and nearing the bitter end. Will test in a few days....will update you guys. I really don't know what to think and am afraid to be hopeful, yet afraid to see AF.

Rave: we are having unseasonable weather without a flake of snow on the ground right now. It was bright and sunny today and made it so much easier to get going on a Monday morning. I love springtime so much.

Past time/hobby: I take dance classes, walk my dog slash fur child, bake (but nothing fancy like @reneeannemm :wink: ), And who am I kidding I watch way too much Netfilx And TV...I can't help that shows are written so good these days!!!

• @BornReady – I’d have it looked into, but as PP mentioned, perhaps I wouldn’t go through the OB.

@GhanimaAtreides – FX for a BFP. Love TED talks – have you seen the Shawn Achor one? I show it in the first day of class for all my intro classes. I laugh every time.

@chloe97 – woot ovulation!

@reneeannemm – I’d love to cook more vegetarian recipes – do you have any good recipes you could suggest (I also need to be gluten free, but that isn’t usually an issue as I’m good at adapting)

@beff12 – EOD should be a good strategy. Also, love seeing another fiber person on the boards.

@dpjennifer – my sleep has been bad – and so many open circles – but just keep swimming – I mean temping J

@roper2617 – again – woot another fiber person – and if you can knit flat you can knit in a circle – let me know if you ever need some links to youtube tutorials – after the first row circular is the same or easier than flat

@aera11 – I miss alone time – DH is more of an introvert than I am – some day we’ll have a bigger place (right now we’re in a small/medium apartment – we’re always in the same room if we aren’t working or sleeping). We call sleeping diagonal “star fishing”…

@thepax89 – FX that your medication helps settle your issues. You mention you can’t temp due to sleep issues – it could still be potentially helpful – I know some people are more sensitive to time of day that they take their temperature where others are more sensitive to long spans of sleep. I don’t know your particular issue, and I’m sure you’ve thought this through, but even if the data that you get is messy it could still be helpful.

@cjs260 – I’m glad your party went well – and woot more fiber people – seriously we’ll take over the world and make it a cozier place

@m6agua – I should do a whole30 – sugar cravings are pretty bad right now – is there a good source of information and recipes that you would recommend?

@shae86 – it has been awhile since I was in Rome/Venice/Florence – but so many beautiful things to see and do. In Venice I recommend a gondola ride and going to see a glass blowing studio – they’re so fast and amazing. In Rome, so many great fountains – I loved the Trevi fountain (so large you have to see it to believe it) – the Vatican city is also great, even if you aren’t religious. In Florence – I’m blanking on Florence – more churches?

@jenmlangtake2 – hugs – I’m sorry

@fiancB – hugs – I’m glad your teacher was responsive and comforting

@boots&co – chocolate lives in my belly…

@Kay6519 – FX on the job application

@megsbrock – FX on testing

Pregnancy Ticker

• @catiecatp I'll have to look for it! Thank you!

• 2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.) Officially TTC this cycle (first since my loss in Sept/Oct)! Woohoo! WTO right now. CD6.

3. Rants/raves: Nothing much so far. Totally feeling those of you trying to lose a few pounds. We were on vacation last week and I somehow gained like 5 pounds (after dieting for the previous 2 months to lose those same 5 pounds). Not happy right now.

4. GTKY: What is a favorite hobby or pass time? I used to really love running but now with a back injury it's hard to do without pain. I love making photobooks and shopping (?). Also, photography, but I wish I was better at it.
• @penelope4612 I have temporarily given up on the whole dieting thing. It seems like I just go through cycles of fluctuating weight regardless of what or how much I eat and in spite of lots of exercise. Annoyingly, when I stopped the healthy paleo diet and rigorous exercise routine, I dropped 6 lbs all while eating junk food and processed sugars. After resuming healthier dietary choices and exercising more, totally gained it all plus an extra pound back. *sigh*
• @reneeannemm I'm sorry for your spotting (and sorry for missing you earlier). Be sure to keep an eye on how long it goes, a dose of progesterone put me back on track after 10 weeks.

@m6agua thanks! I'm handling it much better than I thought I would. I have a few things (weight loss, house decorating) that I would like to have done before a pregnancy but I'm not going to put those things I hold. Every AF brings back normalcy and allows me another opportunity to accomplish those goals, at least I keep telling myself that. And I feel you on the sugar!

@shae86 What a lovely vacation you will have.

@catiecatp What an awesome world that will be! One granny square afghan at a time, haha! Also, where did you learn to spin? I've always wanted to give it a try, but I'm sure I wouldn't have the time...

@jenmlangtake2 Ugh. I'm sorry for your rough day.

@fiancb I hope your test results will be great, and you get reassurance! Also, it sounds like you have a wonderful teacher.

@boots&co You and me both. I get the least bit upset, and everything edible is in danger.

@Kay6519 Good luck!!

@megsbrock Three cheers for sleeping diagonally! (Sometimes I'm so bad as to wash the sheets the day DH leaves, and ha

@penelope4612 Don't worry too quickly about those lbs. Travel may have you retaining extra water, and I'm sure with your schedule going back to normal, they'll disappear!

• Thanks everyone.

But now I'm super confused. I now have SUPER EWCM (like, stretched several inches) but it's streaked with blood. Still crampy and my uterus feels full and my vulva feels heavy. Again I'm only CD 9 so if this is ovulation It's probably worthless. I seriously just stopped bleeding Friday... I don't feel like my body is ready for all that yet. Still negative opk (though it's possible I missed my surge yesterday). Ugh. My temping is effed up right now because I've been lazy.

I'm not very good at this.

• @jenmlangtake2 I had a crazy glob of EWCM tinged with blood just a few days after AF ended this cycle, but then nothing for a few days until I started showing other signs of O. I wonder if the earlier EWCM was more related to cleaning out my uterus, and preparing for actual O? Bodies can do some weird things after loss!

2. TWW, 3 DPO. First cycle actively trying after loss.

3. We were at a little cottage this past weekend and had the most relaxing time. It makes this work week harder though. And yay for relaxed FW sex! Our timing was great.

4. I love hiking and camping, but winter can get depressing. I made a wall hanging with a little table loom this past weekend - I can see weaving becoming a regular pass time! It was super fun and rewarding.

• Thanks to everyone for your responses re: the lead! I'll have his PCP follow up. I think it freaks me out because of how many months it took to drop. His exposure to his blood getting tested was several months and it was still super high. I think just to ease my mind if nothing else his doctor will do some bloodwork and at least see his levels. As far as our house we are as lead free as a almost 200 year old house can be! We actually have a lead lady who tests dust around the house every few months, just to be safe.

@jenmlangtake2 I have had a similar issue since my MC. I'm now getting EWCM over a week before I'm Oing. One of my earlier cycles after O, before temping again, I was convinced I O'd on CD 11 or so, with all of the signs except positive OPK and then later O'd about a we

@catiecatP Good luck with your passport application!

As an add on to my earlier check in...Anyone else watched some "Fuller House"? I was feeling nostalgic and watched a few episodes this weekend. Spoiler (If anyone cares what happens in such a show!).... There is a reference to infertility on the show a few episodes in. In case anyone is having a bad day or doesn't want it to sneak up on them. I had heard about it before I saw it, but it was still a little emotional to watch.
• Well... I just passed a golf ball sized clot of tissue. Wonderful. Waiting for my drs office to open (10 minutes) no idea what's happening. I'm a mess right now.

• Boots&Co I hear you with the eating! I’m pretty good about food and exercise, but I have this thing about baked goods. I LOVE to bake and I LOVE to eat cookies and cake and brownies and mmmm…. So I swear I work out just so I can eat baked goods, and never end up losing any weight.

Kay6519 Good luck and hope you get the job you want!

shae86 I’ve been to Rome, and loved it! Spent 10 days in Italy: 5 in Rome, 1 in Naples (went to Pompeii), and 4 in Palermo, Sicily.

megsbrock Honestly I haven’t really worried about it. I feel that it’s been overblown in the news lately. Like you said, I’ve read about it (although probably not as much as I should have-but I’ve tried to avoid becoming obsessed over it), and have decided to enjoy myself and live my life without too many fears of the unknown. I mean, I stress about way too many things that I shouldn’t bother stressing about as it is… And luckily for me, DH tends to attract all the bugs and that usually causes them to leave me alone. Also, good luck on your last few days of the TWW!
