@ultratomato I am sorry again for that, I have cried at work few times and I know how it feels like. I do not know if it is any comfort, but I keep telling myself now that `even though something happens to this embryo, I know that my egg and DH sperm can mate and make an embryo`. It should be an important thing for IVF right ? I know I do not have much to say to comfort you. It is very important that you have a plan to go with IVF and you know that you have much much higher chances with that. Try to enjoy your time before your treatments start, maybe with a short get away with DH. Hugs to you. Best of luck !!
I'm so sorry to hear @ultratomato, it is so hard when we loose one of our embryo's, its something that never gets any easier. Never feel bad about crying, as this is an emotion that has to leave the body too. Even if it is in front of 'strangers'.

I am pretty sure I'm out. Tested twice and both BFN and have strong AF cramps today. This was only my first IUI but I am not sure I am going to do it again. After the ovidrel trigger I woke up the next morning with a fever and have had fevers on and off since then (almost 2 weeks now). It got so bad that DH had to take me to the ER one night because it was so high and nothing was working. My RE says she doesn't think it is related to the ovidrel but I have a feeling it is the hormones that are making my lupus flare which are causing the fevers. I don't know what to do. I really want to keep going with treatments but I can't keep getting sick. I missed 4 days of work last week and I obviously can't do that again. I just don't know what my other options are since IUI and IVF both require meds and injections (esp IVF). Sorry for the dear diary post.. just feeling overwhelmed today.

@teamginger13 i am sorry that you got sick during your iui cycle. Have you talked to your rheuomotologist about your treatments and see if really ovidrel could cause that? As far as i know , ovidrel should be only HCG hormone which you will have in your system when you get pregnant. Pregnancy shouldnot make your Lupus worse, right? My cousin has lupus and she had a very healthy pregnancy. I hope it s just too early and you get your bfp soon. Best of luck to you!!
@ZoeFer I haven't talked to my rheum yet because she was against the fertility treatments from the beginning. She told me that if the lupus wasn't in remission then pregnancy could make it worse but I honestly didn't believe her. So maybe she was right...sigh. That is awesome for your cousin though. From what I have heard and read, if you are in remission you can have a perfectly normal pregnancy and birth. I am just way too impatient to wait that long but looks like I may have to. Congrats on your BFP btw. Super exciting!!

So I didn't join this thread earlier because we weren't "trying this month". We were gearing up for our first IVF cycle after multiple failed IUI attempts and our family disney trip that we just got back from. Well when we got back from our trip on Sunday - I checked my calendar and I was supposed to have my period. I normally cramp for 2 days before I actually get my period but hadn't had anything. Asked DH to bring me a HPT (because we of course have a gazillion around the house). I was more just testing to confirm I wasn't pregnant. How could we be when we didn't "do anything". My gosh were we shocked when that test came out BFP!!! Immediately burst into huge tears and it took 3 more BFP's to actually sink in. Beta #1 at 15DPO = 168 Beta #2 at 17DPO=this morning waiting for results
Beta was 503 today at 16dp5dt. No idea if it's what it should be, as my regular doctors assistant was on the phone and she had no idea. when I asked her if someone that didn't IVF had those numbers they would say they were good, she answered yes.
I got my first beta results back today at 12dpo!! IT WAS AT 95!!! I'm at work right now like shaking. I'm praying my next results come back doubled!!! The numbers are a good start so far though. Thank God! Thank you ladies for your continued support and love. good luck to anyone else waiting on their betas!!

No, my RE's office said call if I don't get a period or I get a positive HPT on SUNDAY!! Based I'm my normal LP, AF would start to show on Saturday. I tested again with FMU today, and couldn't even convince myself there was a line. So my hopes aren't up but of course, it's not over till AF shows.

@ZoeFer yes, my second beta came back at 308. They said I don't need another beta and my 6 week(about) ultrasound is scheduled for March 28th.
