Hi ladies,
I frequented these boards about 3 years ago when I went through my infertility journey.  I have never received a diagnosis.  We did 1 clomid with TI and 4 clomid with iui and no success.  We finally did ivf and had success.  We have a 2 year old son.  We are now preparing for a FET cycle.  I am pretty clueless when it coms to FET,  So I thought I would return because I received so much support and knowledge from these boards.  I am looking forward to supporting and getting to know you all.

Re: Returning after a few years (child mentioned)

  • Welcome! FETs are totally NBD compared to doing a fresh transfer. There are much less drugs to take, and it generally only involves one injection a day. I would definitely recommend jumping on the thread for whatever month you plan to do your FET so you can have some cycle buddies to converse with.

  • Hi @lin681 and welcome back.

I've had one fresh and two FET done (am currently in my TWW) and agree with @AandDM2014, FET are NBD in comparison.
The only difference is that I got nausea from the oestrogen I took the first round, but guess with my second try I got used to it. And am extremely tired of the progesterone. I don't have to take any injections, as mine are both pills, orally and suppositories. Last one is very very messy, but after a while you are prepared for where it all can end up.
So for me FET is much more easy on the body as my fresh cycle was ( I was slightly overstimulated with the fresh one) so I actually prefer the FET.

When will you start your FET?

  • Hi @lin681, I too am starting the process of going back to my clinic for a FET. I had one successful fresh IVF and my daughters now 13 months. no diagnosis for me either! Best of luck to you! This board was a lifesaver for me during my difficult infertility struggles including 3 failed iui's.

  • hi @tvh1982 - I start bw and uterus chk CD2 I think.  Which is in the next week or so.  Then after that I start my meds.  So it looks like we will do FET in May.  I am so excited.  Hoping all goes smoothly - like my fresh cycle did.  GL to you all.
