Boston Babies

Need OB Rec: BWH Affiliation

Hi,
I've checked the BWH website, but was also hoping for some personal recommendations.  I'd like to find an OB who has privileges at BWH.  Office location in Brookline, JP, or Dedham is a plus.

Thanks!

  • I use Commonwealth OB/GYN at 1 Brookline Place.  I have worked with Dr. Pettyjohn and Dr. Ackerman and really like them both.  However, I have not actually delivered a baby so I can't speak fully to the OB experience.
  • Brookline Village OB/GYN. Drs Hier, Frank and Katz all recommended!

I have also heard good things about this practice.
  • Yep I think the poster can't go wrong with either practice - and both are in the same building too!
  • Thanks for the recommendations.  I'm actually leaving Brookline Village. Long story short, I'm high risk for a number of reasons. Called on a Monday about a pregnancy intake appointment, the lady told me she would speak to the doctor or nurse and call me back. No call back.  I called again on Wednesday, lady told me she would follow up with the doctor and get my initial orders, and then call me back.  I never did get a call back.

i called New England OB/GYN on Thursday, spoke with someone immediately, had a blood draw on Friday, and viability ultrasound the following week. It was a completely different and much better experience, plus I give the practice points for being able to schedule things through email, which makes it easier to be discreet at work.
  • Glad you found one that worked for you! Disappointed to hear BV dropped the ball. I agree they are pretty busy sometimes, which is no excuse to not get back to people.
