@mrsschmity I think your body is preparing you to never sleep when the baby is here is the pup still sleeping?
How far along are you? 26+1
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: actually feel decent. Didn't wake up until 4am and I was still able to drift in and out for another hour. DH got to feel baby go crazy this morning too.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Getting fat. Eating yummy food for her?
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Hmm this is a hard one this morning. I may have to think about this and edit when I get to work!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: nothing new! I do feel like baby has gotten way bigger/stronger over the last week, what was once "is that baby?" Is very distinct & hard kicks! To that end, I also feel like suddenly there's no more room in my belly, I get indigestion with anything I eat and I have to run to the bathroom after every drink!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Just working today!
Questions?
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Adele (sorry to any fans!) I just don't get the hype... She's talented but her songs are depressing and played out.
@tjenkins528 I think you're right And yes, the dog is passed the eff out still. However she did decide to come join me on the couch instead of being antisocial in our bed.
@MsBeachNJ Ditto on the peeing every 5 minutes. H and I were watching a movie last night and I had to pause it 4 times to pee. How far along are you? 24+4
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I've been up since 4:00. I woke up starving. Finally decided to make some breakfast, and currently sitting here eating peanut butter toast while sweeping crumbs off my chest. Rave: Baby kicks! Monday at my appointment I asked my doctor about movement and why I wasn't feeling much from the outside yet. I've been feeling movement for quite a while, including some random kicks, but very random and hard to feel from the outside. Then BAM - last night we were watching a movie and baby went fucking nuts. I could see the kicks from the outside and it lasted at least an hour. Same thing again this morning. Unmistakable jabs. H is too impatient to sit there and wait with his hand on my belly, but I'm confident he'll feel them soon! Symptoms: Same 'ol crap.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? H and I got the changing table set up last night! I am so happy with this Zulily purchase. It was super simple to put together, H was patient with me as I fumbled with the screws/helping put it together, and it looks great.
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Some of the new hair trends - women purposely dying their hair gray, crazy colored ombre, etc. Just, why?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant - Its gross and rainy out. Glad we aren't in line for nasty storms like some but if it's going to rain, give me some good thunder/lightening to go with it, just rain is lame and annoying.
Rave - The crib that was ordered on monday was supposed to ship in 7-14 days with another week to get here once it shipped, yet it allegedly started the shipping process yesterday and will be here Monday!
Symptoms - Noticably growing belly (finally), loving the kicks for the most part, except when she gives a big one/a roll out of nowhere and makes me jump a little.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Finished her quilt yesterday! I posted the pic on the crafty thread but I'll put it here too. Once shes born I'm going to make a butterfly or flower patch with her name and birthday to add to the bottom corner of the back.
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated?
I'll probably be in the minority here but designer hand bags. To me, they're not great enough to warrant the price tag.
@mrsschmity That was brave of you to help with furniture. I'm pretty sure it's for the best when I just stay out of the way lol @Sgoldberg247 The quilt is beautiful!!
How far along are you? 23 w
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: had to make appt with a perinatologist for possible scar tissue on uterus seen during last sono. Regular OB said baby was fine and there was no rush and not to worry.....yeah about the worry part. Scheduled next Wednesday. I'm proud of myself for not Dr. Googling it all night long Rave: feeling lots of baby activity
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still working down the list. Starting to plan how we're going to organize the garage
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Starbucks. I can't believe so many people spend $5--7 on coffee everyday.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Annoyed with DH (Damn Husband this time...). It's icy out and we're supposed to get freezing rain and snow today. He asked me in the middle of my breakfast if I could go out and move the cars around with him (I was parked on the outside and he was leaving for work). Then when I got out there I asked him if he had put salt out on the ice like I asked him 5 times yesterday and he said no. So I opened up the garage door so that I could get access to the bag of salt and he starts giving me a speech about how I shouldn't be doing that because it's probably bad for me to be squatting down (short cervix), and I'm like, "Oh, but it's okay for me to just walk on the ice?!?!" WTF. He really wants it both ways. Super annoying. I believe a "discussion" is in order this evening... lol Rave: Lots of baby kicks yesterday and the possibility of visiting my friend with her newborn today. Her DH is back to work so she'll be on her own for the first day. I told her I can't do much physically but I can sit on the couch and hold a newborn, as well as provide moral support! Is it terrible that I hope she has a freak out so I can go over? Symptoms: Pooping is tough.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating and crocheting. GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? 3D movies. I feel like it's a neat thing to see for certain movies but totally unnecessary. Kinda makes me feel woozy sometimes and not worth the extra $.
@tjenkins528: I count it as a victory when I manage to sleep until 4am, too! Between cats hemming me in and my bladder yelling every few hours, sleeping through the night ain't happening.
@mrsschmity: Yay! Glad you're feeling definite kicks on the outside! Peanut butter toast sounds pretty tasty.
@MsBeachNJ: I totally get the no-room feeling. Lately, if I eat too much, talk for too long (especially while walking), or try to reach down for something, I am immediately reminded of how little space is left in my abdomen....and how much growing baby still had to do! Oof.
@Sgoldberg247: Beautiful job on the quilt!! Love the name patch idea. That's a gorgeous keepsake for your daughter.
How far along are you? 22 weeks!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptoms: Snoring, apparently, RLP, and heartburn.
Rave: *Canadian ladies* I ate myself silly on poutine last night for dinner for the first time. Never had it before, and it was SO good. It had pulled pork, cheese curds, and gravy on top of delicious fries. Idk if this is traditional at all, but it was damn tasty.
Rant: Crazy weather here last night. Not as bad as in other areas of the south, but intense none the less. Love tornado season (not).
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Eh.
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? First thing that came to mind is the grey hair color trend. Why would you choose such a high maintenance style that requires frying your hair to within an inch of its life? No thanks. I hear you, @mrsschmity.
@cdnrunning: Way to go avoiding Dr Google! No one wants to hear the need for extra monitoring, but if your OB isn't worried, keep trying not to worry--as hard as that is!
@candicek15: I'm annoyed for you about DH. Ugh. Thankfully, you didn't fall on the ice he didn't salt. Hope you get your baby visit in today!
@cdnrunning Normally I would say the same in regards to helping with things like that lol The night started out with H saying "How about you just read the directions to me and I'll put it together"...then slowly morphed into him handing me random pieces and having me screw things in place. He was in rare form last night and super patient - which is not always the case when it comes to house projects
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: We got all these warnings for a big winter storm, so of course I got my hopes up for a snow day. But, nothing. Very disappointing! I also feel so huge, & have broken out on my face again. ETA: I also can't seem to tag anyone?! Get it together, TB. Rave: It's HDBD & that makes me happy! Symptoms: The heartburn is intense. And I'm SO emotional. I had a huge breakdown last night & I'm not even sure why...but I couldn't stop. GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Kanye. The Kardashians. Beyonce's newer stuff. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@MsBeachNJ ditto on the no room in your belly anymore. I finally am hungry often but can't eat that much before I'm really full AND baby is only 1/7 the size that she'll likely be at term. Oh boy what fun the next few months are going to hold.
@mrsschmity not gonna lie, the peanut butter toast sounded freaking amazing, I may be sitting here eating some myself as I write this.
@cdnrunning kudos to you for not using Dr Google all night! Hopefully all ends well and they are just covering their rears with the extra screening.
@candicek15 DH would get a big WTF if he pulled crap like that. Be careful on the ice!
Thanks for all the positive comments about the quilt BTW!
@Sgoldberg247 The quilt is beautiful! Let us know if you're taking orders
@DeePaddy24 I'm sorry you didn't get your snow day! And I'm also with you on your overrated list. I love Beyonce but her new stuff all sounds the same and isn't that great. She needs to get back to the classics. I love me some "crazy in love"!
@crdo I love that you have just tried poutine for the first time!! The pulled pork is not traditional but there are lots of places trying to put a new spin on it. I'm glad you liked it! Next you'll have to try a beavertail (not made with beavers, hahaha).
@crdo I love that you have just tried poutine for the first time!! The pulled pork is not traditional but there are lots of places trying to put a new spin on it. I'm glad you liked it! Next you'll have to try a beavertail (not made with beavers, hahaha).
Beavertail--I'm interested. Will have to Google that! Although, if it actually included beaver, there'd be exactly zero chance I'd try it, haha.
@Sgoldberg247 The quilt turned out beautifully! Great job!
@mrsschmity So exciting about the big baby kicks! I still can't feel (or see) mine from the outside yet, but hopefully soon! And I hear ya on the early mornings!
@candicek15 Men really don't get it sometimes, lol. And you just reminded me that I need H to go put salt down before I attempt to go outside...it's now beginning to look like a skating rink out there.
I'm just gonna jump in here because of the crappy way my morning started off. Usually I just love observing all your comments and pondering if I should even have my input but I felt the need so.
How far along are you? 26 weeks+1day
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: literally jumped out of bed because my last alarm didn't go off which therefore gave me barely 10 minutes to get to work on time. Poor baby is probably traumatized right now from that jolt. Symptoms: RLP, hip pain at night no matter if I have a pillow under me, leg pain at night too, cursed restless legs. Rave: Feeling baby move like crazy yesterday puts my mind at ease so much.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Just gestating. Until we can get our mobile home moved onto some land I cant do a darn thing for the nursery or anything for that matter because we just don't have the space living in our tiny studio apartment right now.(It's torture)
Questions?
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated
I'm with ya on the designer handbags, 3d movies, I think just about everything in society is way overrated and there's really no reason to have or spend that much money on something. I use a cheap typical purse and I don't even go to 3d movies unless I feel its going to be worth it for a specific movie.
@MsBeachNJ I'm with you, feeling like I have no room anymore. I can't believe how much I have to use the bathroom. @mrsschmity I want to see and feel movement from the outside! My kiddo is just still rolling around in there. And I know what you mean about loving on DH for letting you help him and keeping his cool. I love it when my husband includes me in stuff like that and makes me feel useful! @Sgoldberg247 and @crdo We got the crazy weather last night, too! and it's still storming pretty good. We really can't handle much more rain at this point. @candiceK15 happy 25 weeks!
How far along are you? 25 weeks today!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: DH had dinner cooked last night by the time I got home and he and the three kiddos were at the table ready to eat. Then the 15 year old washed the dishes and I got to get in bed early. Symptoms: Constipation seems to be coming back...ouch. Also, sleepless nights, like everyone else, and indigestion.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Coming up with spring cleaning projects for DH and myself to complete on weekends.
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Gender reveal parties. I don't know, maybe just because I'm team green, but I just don't...no.
It's just a pastry shaped like a beaver's tail, which I think used to just have cinnamon and sugar but now has a whole list of toppings. They have them in downtown Ottawa and even have shacks that sell them with hot chocolate on the Rideau Canal for people that go skating.
We have a friend that was born and raised until he was about 12 near Toronto and then his family moved to India (where his parents were from) and then he came back to Canada for university, where we met him. We brought him to Ottawa with us on one of our school breaks and told him he should try a beavertail and his response was, "You guys, you know I'm vegetarian!" We all got a good laugh that he thought it was actually a beaver's tail, despite the fact that's what the name implies, lol.
@dennyandlee that sounds like a dream evening! @crdo that's exciting that you discovered poutine. I'm really into it this pregnancy, though normally not as much. Crazy weather here too, interestingly.
How far along are you? 22w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptoms- heartburn as per usual and I'm trying Zantac 150 right now (just popped it). Rant- just another funny busy night in our house... my husband talks in his sleep a lot when stressed, so I've been getting a lot of him waking me up to discuss imaginary budgets and spreadsheets to which I just nod and say "okay shh" and he eventually stops, my daughter woke up at 3am to yell "I'm lying down! I'm lying down!" Okay?? I think she needed blanket readjusting but my hubs dealt with it (no doubt while making imaginary financial decisions). Meanwhile, the baby kicks away...
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Figured out the double stroller I want. My cousin is in the stroller business so he gives us amazing deals. For anyone interested, it's the city select Baby Jogger- I kind of wish we'd just gotten that one to begin with since it so easily converts from 1 child to 2. I LOVE my mini GT though.
Questions? Anyone else's vision affected by pregnancy? I never have 20/20 but am a lazy glasses wearer... now, though, I think I gotta put the specs on for work... maybe I'm just getting old.
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Okay so this will probably stir the pot a bit but bacon. I'm a vegetarian and haven't eaten it in over a decade but I never was that into it. I mean, it's FINE, I remember liking it with diner breakfasts, but I just don't see the hype over it. Anyway, I'm obviously biased as a veg.
@crdo where did you try poutine?! @Sgoldberg247 LOVE the quilt! It's gorgeous.
How far along are you? 23w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Like others have mentioned, this weather stinks. Rave: got to meet my friend's baby last night. So sweet! Symptoms: back pain, pelvic pain, trying to sleep is a joke.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Got three new pairs of bootcut maternity jeans at a consignment store. Gonna skinny the legs today!
Questions?
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? I agree with everyone else's! H hates the gray hair trend so much. Though I hope it stays in for years because I'll probably go gray early. And hell yes to the Kardashians. Gross.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@mrsschmity - I am jealous! I am still waiting to feel and see kicks on the outside but I think I am getting close. I couldn't tell if I saw one yesterday or if I just blinked and refocused funny since I was staring so hard!
@sgoldberg247- I echo the sentiments of the others, your quilt is beautiful. What a lucky little girl to have something so beautiful handmade by her mother!
@cdnrunning- Dr. Google gets me everytime, congrats on resisting. Hopefully there is nothing to worry about!
@deepaddy24 - I hear you on being emotional. Yesterday I had a meltdown talking to a coworker at lunch about my H irritating me. When I got home I just went to bed because I knew I was on the verge of starting a fight.
How far along are you? 25 + 2
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:Rant: My DH is killing me too (@candicek15- I am borrowing Damn Husband)! He made things so awkward at our Doula consultation, I'm pretty sure she hates being around us and thinks we will just separate before this baby comes. Then on the way home I asked him to let me run into to store to get Benadryl for the hives (that I have been bitching about for two weeks-sorry ladies) and he tells me he will just take me home so I can lay down and go get them himself. So I go in the house and put on my PJ's and come back out to the living room. He is playing on his phone and sitting in his boxers (obviously not going to the store). This happened Monday night so I thought for sure when I got home last night he would have Benadryl for me since I leave for work earlier and get home a couple of hours later...nope. I went to the store, got my drugs, and went to sleep so I didn't have to unleash my regular crazy and my hormonal crazy on him! Rave: I take a supplement to balance my blood sugar which helps with my energy and mood. I have been out for a week and have felt like crap (it may have also contributed to my not so great feelings toward H) but my shipment arrived last night! This morning I feel almost like an actual person Symptoms: All the things that have become my new normal
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Working & eating.
Questions? Is anyone waiting until after baby comes to make their decision on whether to return to work or not?
GTKY:What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Looking put together at work. I admire the women who do it but it has never been my style. My makeup lives in the cup holder of my car (eye shadow, liner, and mascara). I used to at least make sure to use it everyday and put on clothes for work. Now they're just lucky I'm not showing up in a muu muu.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Still having what feels like a muscle pull in my groin for about a month now on one side. Could this strangely be round ligament pain? I thought that was more in the abdomen, but perhaps?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still thinking and discussing names with DH.
Questions? See symptom above. Also, I asked yesterday, but late so I didn't get any responses. Anyone every try the Spectra 2 or any of the Spectra pumps? A consultant at the BRU class I attended the other night recommended one because of the closed system and it looks like my insurance might cover it. (I also can get the Madela PISA and Ameda Purely Yours)
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Ditto on so many of these.... colored hair, designer bags (and diaper bags for that matter), 3D movies that were post processed to be 3D and not filmed in 3D, and gender reveal parties.
But mine is political. I think Trump is so overrated. I can't understand for the life of me why so many people like him. He is divisive, promotes hate and fear, is sexist, racist, and can't or is unwilling to provide specifics on how he plans to do anything as president. When he feels threatened, he resorts to elementary tactics and name calling. He truly makes me afraid for this country.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: No real rants, it's a little early for me to be anything but sleepy. Rave: STL was hit with a snowstorm, totals ranging from 4-6 inches at this point and continuing through lunch. Best part? I'm 45 minutes from the city and I don't have a single flake. So I get to work from home since work is covered. Symptoms: yesterday morning at 3:30, had an episode where I almost passed out coming back from the bathroom, so I woke up H and he stayed home with me to take me to the dr. Baby was found on the Doppler - 140s - and blood pressure, urine was fine. He thinks I have an ear or sinus infection brewing (again?! I don't even feel bad) and that's what caused the dizziness.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Waiting for my showers to see what's left to get. Feeling very grateful that this little guy is being welcomed with so much love.
Questions?
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Since other PP said the Kardashians and Beyoncé, I am throwing Facebook out there. I remember when you had to be a college student to sign up, and it was a way for you and your friends to connect. Now it's a political and moral platform, way to put your sex life out there for all to see and enables parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/etc to stalk you. My MIL called us worried one weekend when we didn't log in for a whole day. Seriously?!
It's just a pastry shaped like a beaver's tail, which I think used to just have cinnamon and sugar but now has a whole list of toppings. They have them in downtown Ottawa and even have shacks that sell them with hot chocolate on the Rideau Canal for people that go skating.

We all got a good laugh that he thought it was actually a beaver's tail, despite the fact that's what the name implies, lol.
Lawd, help. YUM!! Now off to see if I can get that in the deep southern US, haha!
@SGoldberg247 - That looks awesome! Great job! You are clearly far more crafty than I can even dream of being!
@MeganF08 - Yes, we are waiting, but not really because of the baby so much as the whole moving situation. We won't know how quickly our house sells or how much our new mortgage us until then too, so we can't make future financial decisions. I will go back eventually, it just depends if it's immediately or after 6+ months.
How far along are you? 22w6d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Stomach issues are back. Hopefully for a short stay. And by short, I mean gone by noon. Fingers Crossed. Rant: Just mad that it's STILL not Friday. Rave: Feeling super appreciative of this kid today. Friends of ours were expecting their first baby a few weeks after us and they just found out that they lost it. She's already had a miscarriage and I just feel awful for them both. And I don't know what to do because I'm sure she doesn't want to see me and my baby bump right now. It sucks. They are the nicest people and I wish I could do something to help. Since we heard their awful news, every time I feel our LO move, I feel really grateful.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Started looking into pediatricians (just for kicks, since we aren't in the right city yet). Really, I'm doing nothing. GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? In-and-Out Burger. I lived in AZ for 4 years and everybody there swears by it. To me, it's like any other fast food.
But I will also agree with everybody else - Facebook, celebrities, Adele, handbags, grey hair, TRUMP... all of it.
@SMLmom: We registered for the city mini gt. Didn't realize baby jogger city select converted....oh well, we'll just worry about that for the next kid
@hockeyfan42: There's this fabulous restaurant in Kennesaw called The Rotisserie. They focus on rotisserie chicken (duh), but they also do some killer pulled pork. The poutine was yummy! Also, Leon's Full Service in Decatur serves poutine, but I haven't tried it there.
@arteduc8: Don't know much about the spectra, but I got the Ameda Purely Yours double electric pump through my insurance. FTM so I haven't used it of course, but I liked what I've read about it. It's a closed system, too.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:Rave: We had the most delicious dinner last night. Nothing fancy, just turkey meatloaf with broccoli and mashed potatoes, but yesterday was such a long day and it was perfect comfort food. Symptoms: Just getting big, and I think I noticed a few stretch marks on my stomach. I didn't let myself study them for very long.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Trying to line up a pediatrician.
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Dark chocolate. I think milk chocolate is delicious, and when people say they prefer dark chocolate I assume they're lying
@SMLmom: We registered for the city mini gt. Didn't realize baby jogger city select converted....oh well, we'll just worry about that for the next kid

Good to know, thanks! We really should explore the area more before we get transferred next year. H is going to Toronto for training in a few days and I told him he had to try the poutine while he's there!
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Still having what feels like a muscle pull in my groin for about a month now on one side. Could this strangely be round ligament pain? I thought that was more in the abdomen, but perhaps?

I think RLP usually starts or ends in the groin area.
I haven't used or had one one but I've heard really good things about the Spectra pumps.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
@hockeyfan42 that's cool! What kind of training and where? I like this city.... @crdo the mini GT is the BOMB!!! Seriously, you'll never regret it. I use a clunky stroller at my mom's and I cannot believe the difference. It is so smooth and easy to maneuver- I'm a big fan.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Contractions or braxton hicks or both. I'm hoping it's normal and not my cervix changing. Makes me anxious for Friday's appointment. I'm just getting worn out really easily now and it sucks.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Not much. Trying to keep them in there. GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? I might just be extra crabby this pregnancy but I hate my pregnancy pillow and maternity jeans. I'll be sad if it gets too warm for leggings. The problem with leggings, though, is I'm running out of tunic length tops.
HAH @catherinekate I'll warn him. What would you recommend he try? He'll have the whole weekend to himself and our first thought was a Leafs game, but they're away. I've been googling...
@SMLmom It's 10 days of intensive training for the new position he's in. The training is in Mississauga, but he'll have a rental car to explore.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Insomnia. Feel like the walking dead. Also work sucks lately. Rave is that it's Wednesday which is halfway to the weekend. And it's supposed to be in the 50s on Saturday!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Picking up small things at the store. Finger nail clippers, burp clothes, ect.
Questions?
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Cheesecake. And any award show. I hate award shows.
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: My appointment went well. Baby sounded good. Got my glucose test scheduled for next week. I almost had a heart attack stepping on the scale, though. I hadn't since my last at 18 weeks and the 15 lb jump kind of traumatized me. I'm only up 20 total so nothing ridiculous but I get it now. I had a really hard time yesterday. Symptoms: The constipation is getting me. I pooped yesterday for the first time in I don't even know and I felt like I was actually dying.
GTKY: What's one thing that you think is completely overrated? I agree on the designer handbags/wallets. H and I were actually talking about that just yesterday. I just don't get it.
@deepaddy24 - I'm with you on the Kardashians. They are such a trainwreck.
@dennyandlee - I also don't get gender reveals...especially when the parents know already. Meh, doesn't bother me one way or the other, I just don't get it.
---------------------------------- How far along are you? 25 w
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Can't roll over in the middle of the night without monumental effort, does that count as a symptom?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Putting together a to-do list.
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Kardashians.
@hockeyfan42: Do explore! Lots of food to be had, lol.
@SMLmom: Good to know! That thing moved like a dream on the super smooth BBB floors (of course), so nice to hear a STM give it the thumbs up! A clunky stroller just sounds painful.
@Huskerfanz: Hope the contractions stop, and it's nothing to do with your cervix. Ouch!
@ahernandez16: Glad to hear you had a good appt! Yeah, trying to wrap my head around the weight gain, too, even though rationally I know it's expected and necessary.
@hockeyfan42 haha- I feel like those kind of things are always out in Mississauga. . Very cool! Well if he needs any tips, just pm me. Hopefully the weather isn't too gross while he's here.
Re: Wednesday Check-In

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: actually feel decent. Didn't wake up until 4am and I was still able to drift in and out for another hour. DH got to feel baby go crazy this morning too.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Getting fat. Eating yummy food for her?

To that end, I also feel like suddenly there's no more room in my belly, I get indigestion with anything I eat and I have to run to the bathroom after every drink!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Just working today!
Questions?
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Adele (sorry to any fans!) I just don't get the hype... She's talented but her songs are depressing and played out.
@MsBeachNJ Ditto on the peeing every 5 minutes. H and I were watching a movie last night and I had to pause it 4 times to pee.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: I've been up since 4:00.
Just, why?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant - Its gross and rainy out. Glad we aren't in line for nasty storms like some but if it's going to rain, give me some good thunder/lightening to go with it, just rain is lame and annoying.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Finished her quilt yesterday! I posted the pic on the crafty thread but I'll put it here too. Once shes born I'm going to make a butterfly or flower patch with her name and birthday to add to the bottom corner of the back.
@mrsschmity That was brave of you to help with furniture. I'm pretty sure it's for the best when I just stay out of the way lol
@Sgoldberg247 The quilt is beautiful!!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: had to make appt with a perinatologist for possible scar tissue on uterus seen during last sono. Regular OB said baby was fine and there was no rush and not to worry.....yeah about the worry part. Scheduled next Wednesday. I'm proud of myself for not Dr. Googling it all night long
Rave: feeling lots of baby activity
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still working down the list. Starting to plan how we're going to organize the garage
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Starbucks. I can't believe so many people spend $5--7 on coffee everyday.
PSA:
Amazon: 35% Off Britax Car Seats Today Only (Marathon Convertible Car Seat $188 Shipped)
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: Annoyed with DH (Damn Husband this time...). I believe a "discussion" is in order this evening... lol
Rave: Lots of baby kicks yesterday and the possibility of visiting my friend with her newborn today.
22 weeks!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Symptoms: Snoring, apparently, RLP, and heartburn.
@candicek15: I'm annoyed for you about DH. Ugh. Thankfully, you didn't fall on the ice he didn't salt. Hope you get your baby visit in today!
@crdo Stay safe in that nasty weather!!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: We got all these warnings for a big winter storm, so of course I got my hopes up for a snow day.

@Sgoldberg247 The quilt turned out beautifully! Great job!
@mrsschmity So exciting about the big baby kicks! I still can't feel (or see) mine from the outside yet, but hopefully soon! And I hear ya on the early mornings!
@crdo I'm glad you enjoyed poutine!!

@candiceK15 happy 25 weeks!
@crdo that's exciting that you discovered poutine. I'm really into it this pregnancy, though normally not as much. Crazy weather here too, interestingly.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Symptoms- heartburn as per usual and I'm trying Zantac 150 right now (just popped it).
This morning I feel almost like an actual person
Symptoms: All the things that have become my new normal
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Working & eating.
Questions? Is anyone waiting until after baby comes to make their decision on whether to return to work or not?
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Looking put together at work. I admire the women who do it but it has never been my style. My makeup lives in the cup holder of my car (eye shadow, liner, and mascara). I used to at least make sure to use it everyday and put on clothes for work. Now they're just lucky I'm not showing up in a muu muu.
24 weeks today!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Still having what feels like a muscle pull in my groin for about a month now on one side.
Seriously?!
But I will also agree with everybody else - Facebook, celebrities, Adele, handbags, grey hair, TRUMP... all of it.
How far along are you? 26 weeks
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: We had the most delicious dinner last night.
I haven't used or had one one but I've heard really good things about the Spectra pumps.
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
@Sgoldberg247 - that quilt is amazing!
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
@SMLmom It's 10 days of intensive training for the new position he's in. The training is in Mississauga, but he'll have a rental car to explore.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Insomnia.

Also Beyonce.
@crdo - Mmmmm poutine. Love, love, love.
@deepaddy24 - I'm with you on the Kardashians. They are such a trainwreck.
@dennyandlee - I also don't get gender reveals...especially when the parents know already. Meh, doesn't bother me one way or the other, I just don't get it.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Can't roll over in the middle of the night without monumental effort, does that count as a symptom?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Putting together a to-do list.
GTKY: What's one thing you think is completely overrated? Kardashians.
