  • @Sgoldberg247 The quilt looks amazing!!! It is beautiful. You did a great job!
  • @cdnrunning: Way to go avoiding Dr Google! No one wants to hear the need for extra monitoring, but if your OB isn't worried, keep trying not to worry--as hard as that is!

@candicek15: I'm annoyed for you about DH. Ugh. Thankfully, you didn't fall on the ice he didn't salt. Hope you get your baby visit in today!
  • @cdnrunning Normally I would say the same in regards to helping with things like that lol The night started out with H saying "How about you just read the directions to me and I'll put it together"...then slowly morphed into him handing me random pieces and having me screw things in place. He was in rare form last night and super patient - which is not always the case when it comes to house projects ;)

@crdo Stay safe in that nasty weather!!
  • @MsBeachNJ ditto on the no room in your belly anymore.  I finally am hungry often but can't eat that much before I'm really full AND baby is only 1/7 the size that she'll likely be at term.  Oh boy what fun the next few months are going to hold.

@mrsschmity not gonna lie, the peanut butter toast sounded freaking amazing, I may be sitting here eating some myself as I write this.

@cdnrunning kudos to you for not using Dr Google all night!  Hopefully all ends well and they are just covering their rears with the extra screening.

@candicek15 DH would get a big WTF if he pulled crap like that.  Be careful on the ice!

Thanks for all the positive comments about the quilt BTW!

@Sgoldberg247 The quilt is beautiful! Let us know if you're taking orders ;)

@DeePaddy24 I'm sorry you didn't get your snow day! And I'm also with you on your overrated list. I love Beyonce but her new stuff all sounds the same and isn't that great. She needs to get back to the classics. I love me some "crazy in love"!

@crdo I love that you have just tried poutine for the first time!! The pulled pork is not traditional but there are lots of places trying to put a new spin on it. I'm glad you liked it! Next you'll have to try a beavertail (not made with beavers, hahaha).

Beavertail--I'm interested. Will have to Google that! Although, if it actually included beaver, there'd be exactly zero chance I'd try it, haha.
  • It's working now! (See rant, lol)

@Sgoldberg247 The quilt turned out beautifully! Great job! :)

@mrsschmity So exciting about the big baby kicks! I still can't feel (or see) mine from the outside yet, but hopefully soon! And I hear ya on the early mornings!

    @crdo I'm glad you enjoyed poutine!! ;)

@candicek15 Men really don't get it sometimes, lol. And you just reminded me that I need H to go put salt down before I attempt to go outside...it's now beginning to look like a skating rink out there.

  • @crdo Check this out: https://beavertails.com/

It's just a pastry shaped like a beaver's tail, which I think used to just have cinnamon and sugar but now has a whole list of toppings. They have them in downtown Ottawa and even have shacks that sell them with hot chocolate on the Rideau Canal for people that go skating.

We have a friend that was born and raised until he was about 12 near Toronto and then his family moved to India (where his parents were from) and then he came back to Canada for university, where we met him. We brought him to Ottawa with us on one of our school breaks and told him he should try a beavertail and his response was, "You guys, you know I'm vegetarian!" We all got a good laugh that he thought it was actually a beaver's tail, despite the fact that's what the name implies, lol.

Lawd, help. YUM!! Now off to see if I can get that in the deep southern US, haha!
  • @SMLmom: We registered for the city mini gt. Didn't realize baby jogger city select converted....oh well, we'll just worry about that for the next kid  :#

@hockeyfan42: There's this fabulous restaurant in Kennesaw called The Rotisserie. They focus on rotisserie chicken (duh), but they also do some killer pulled pork. The poutine was yummy! Also, Leon's Full Service in Decatur serves poutine, but I haven't tried it there.

@arteduc8: Don't know much about the spectra, but I got the Ameda Purely Yours double electric pump through my insurance. FTM so I haven't used it of course, but I liked what I've read about it. It's a closed system, too.

Good to know, thanks! We really should explore the area more before we get transferred next year. H is going to Toronto for training in a few days and I told him he had to try the poutine while he's there!

    Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Still having what feels like a muscle pull in my groin for about a month now on one side.  Could this strangely be round ligament pain? I thought that was more in the abdomen, but perhaps?

    Questions?
    See symptom above.
Also, I asked yesterday, but late so I didn't get any responses.  Anyone every try the Spectra 2 or any of the Spectra pumps?  A consultant at the BRU class I attended the other night recommended one because of the closed system and it looks like my insurance might cover it. (I also can get the Madela PISA and Ameda Purely Yours)

I think RLP usually starts or ends in the groin area.

I haven't used or had one one but I've heard really good things about the Spectra pumps.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI!
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!

@hockeyfan42 that's cool!  What kind of training and where?  I like this city....
@crdo the mini GT is the BOMB!!!  Seriously, you'll never regret it.  I use a clunky stroller at my mom's and I cannot believe the difference.  It is so smooth and easy to maneuver- I'm a big fan.
  • Nooooo there is nowhere in Toronto that serves good poutine! You need to go to Quebec or to northern Ontario. Tell him to wait! :)@hockeyfan42
  • HAH @catherinekate I'll warn him. What would you recommend he try? He'll have the whole weekend to himself and our first thought was a Leafs game, but they're away. I've been googling...

@SMLmom It's 10 days of intensive training for the new position he's in. The training is in Mississauga, but he'll have a rental car to explore.

  • @hockeyfan42: Do explore! Lots of food to be had, lol.

@SMLmom: Good to know! That thing moved like a dream on the super smooth BBB floors (of course), so nice to hear a STM give it the thumbs up! A clunky stroller just sounds painful.

@Huskerfanz: Hope the contractions stop, and it's nothing to do with your cervix. Ouch!

@ahernandez16: Glad to hear you had a good appt! Yeah, trying to wrap my head around the weight gain, too, even though rationally I know it's expected and necessary.
  • @hockeyfan42 haha- I feel like those kind of things are always out in Mississauga.  :).  Very cool!  Well if he needs any tips, just pm me.  Hopefully the weather isn't too gross while he's here.
